For my job I have to wear peltors under an ACH quite often for extended periods of time. This is some great advice for me as I do get those really bad peltor migraines. I guess I need to keep messing around with it. Keep the vids coming it's very helpful 👍

Running over the heads under the helmets was interesting to see - didn't expect there to be enough room even with the padding across the top removed. (My IRL experience with helmets ended back in 2000, when I got out.)

I wear dual NOD’s every single night, and I recently got a Chinesium clone Cadex mount with my MTEK helmet (Note: I have a small head and always struggled with getting NODs as close to my eye as I wanted). For $99, I’m SUPER happy with this mount SO FAR. I’ve only had it for 2-week and have put 15 hours on it but it’s extremely smooth with very tight tolerances, no wiggle (except two back screws that you need to thread lock when you first get it). So far I highly recommend everyone try this mount.

Pretty help full information for anyone who uses these. The Australian Army Infantry use Team Wendy helmets with Wilcox shrouds and mounts to connect the dual tube L-3 PVS-31A. I had a watered down soldiers 5 on the mount and NVG to get qualified to use them. so I was always wondering what half those knobs on the mounting systems do.
What pouches are attached to the old FAST MT at 9:20 mark? It looks like the Ops-Core FAST Mesh ANVIS battery pouch with unknown tourniquet holder velcroed/tied above it; any clarification would be appreciated!

Them talking about the break away function reminded me of the time the mount came off just from the bungee rention during training and it left a cut under my eye cause i forgot eye pro. Now I don't use the break away unless situation calls for it, or if I have eye pro
SNS precision mount/body with probably a surefire m340v tail cap and head. White light and IR capability. The surefire m340v is already good as is just slapped onto a helmet. The SNS precision body adds like $100 more for the body/mount itself
Not really. They are not designed to have some sort of dampening like motorcycle helmets. They do soften the blow with good padding but won't prevent high energetic trauma.

Contact lenses and make sure you wear clear eye pro. Generally i just wear one in my dom eye and nothing in the other. I can still function with neither since my eyes arent horrible. Yet lol.

i think a product what would solve the Shroud issue would be an extended dovetail. the g69 or whatever where the mount+shroud are one Piece are cool since its lowpro but have fun breaking your neck due to there being no break away. the normal Opscore mount has the Pvs31 sitting to faar forward. so just a dovetail (the piece on the Nods that slots into the mount) thats just somwhat longer so the 31s sit further back would sord that out. only would need to be like half an inch more or so. maybe something yall can send towards Wilcox or whatever.
What would you suggest for getting good eye relief but still allowing articulation? Mine will hit the brim of my helmet stopping them from rotating up all the way

What is fusions? I think it's literally ai coding to add a couple features. We don't really know what some is color through ai. Some is some highlights on targets via ai. You can see a Washington post article about the tech.

You have a battery pack, counterweights (sometimes at least), cable routing, a tourniquet (which is interesting; never seen that done before, but it makes sense.)

We regular folks in the infantry use good old 550 cord and carabiner to secure the NODs! Nothing fancy and gets the job done 👍

Every time you put your helmet on it is slightly different.
So you need to adjust every time. Even with ops core fast SF, Wilcox mount and pvs31.
Do a video on comms setup what you guys used in the teams and what you run now. Keep it up the great work 👍

I would like to see how you recommend retaining a PVS 14. I know in your early days in the teams you guys had to have used them.
Pistol retention lanyard and titanium keychain rings snaked through the hard mounting points on the frame of the pvs14.

There are lanyard holes drilled into the housing. Its the little flange next to your power knob.

Who makes the low profile helmet shroud, that allows you to get that closer adjustment or “tuck” the NVG’s up against your eyes?
