I have found Bonhams to be terrible for years. I will not bid there anymore, especially at any of their satellite locations.
Why does live auctioneers carry or allow companies like Bonhams to sell on their platform?
I had a horrible experience with Bohnams, I will not do any business with their firm.

its nice if you are young and beginning collecting to find and buy pieces at ( so called 'reasonable' prices) dirt cheap bids.
but as older collectors realize this maybe a reflection of a change in tastes/desirability. and so sellers may be quite disappointed
Bonhams has been selling fake for a while. Only New Bond St and New York Bonhams sell authentic pieces

It is still the Sackler Gallery. I was there last month, and they had a big sign explaining that they can't rename the gallery without giving back the original endowment.
