I absolutely love listening to the podcast when I’m driving, it’s awesome! but I think the TH-cam videos would be better if we actually saw the recording of the podcast so we could see the fun you guys are having rather than just looking at a logo

Loving these podcasts and as an early PH subscriber and TVR owner (for 16 years) obviously loved the chat with Petrol Ted. When I bought my first TVR I saw a trip to Spain on the TVR forum and sent the cheque and met everyone at Portsmouth harbour (I think!) and had one of the best trips of my life and met amazing people.
Another excellent podcast with a fascinating insight into another petrolhead institution, before a month ago I'd never listened to a podcast about anything in my life, then I discovered these and binged the whole lot and now I'm hooked. Please please please can we have these more regularly!!!
I was a (minor) member of the forum for 16 years. Then during 2020 in the space of 6 months got banned twice by the "new moderators" who are frankly doing a terrible job on the forum. The second time I got banned was for calling out an obvious troll poster. That 2nd strike saw me banned for life from the forum. Whilst I could do the thing of different email address and new username. I figured it was a good time to get out really. Why would I want to spend time on a site that prioritises fresh account trolls over people who've been loyal to the forum for decades! PH's current owners (Who purchased from Haymarket in 2019) is where the rot set in imo. They are allowing all sorts of trolling and nonsense to proliferate. (the News forum is especially toxic!) No matter how many time you hit the report button those posters are allowed to stay, with their multiple usernames and abusive postings. As these users destroy yet another thread. Maybe it's rose tints but I don't recall it ever being as argumentative in the past decade! It's a shame, there's some excellent threads on there. ("Flemke is this" being a personal favourite) But I cant be bothered to sift through the idiots to get to the genuine comments. And worryingly, I doubt I'm the only one whose thought "bugger it"
13:18 talking about contributors… David took the first part of the word “freelancers” very literally, as he only liked stuff he could get for free! Every time someone asked to get paid for anything, he’d go in a hissy-fit regarding money issues (yet he had an Alpina and two TVR models) and then bang on about how he was being a saint by giving new writers such a big platform for their work to appear on! 🤦🏽
