I wouldn't say the fastest in the world, there is a dsg converted 580bhp S1 here in the UK, but man even 400bhp with the dsg box will shock many high performance cars! I wish I had the spare cash to dump a dsg box in my S1 😂 respect to the owner for the build!

Audi wasn’t able to make the DQ500 box fit, which is the only box that can handle the torque. They didn’t say it couldn’t be DSG, just the engineers knew they couldn’t do it with the box it needed. This is almost certainly the smaller DQ250 box which isn’t going to last very long with the power of the engine.
Lovely that you give the guy two and a half seconds to think about whether he wants the car in the carousel or not :D U should have the question in a short quiz that u ask everyone through before the lap. The quiz would also include abs and redline questions :D
The way it picked up speed throughout the lap is amazing! The fact the temps were in check or no codes were given shows it can be done. A serious weapon. Question though, what was the beeping? Is it when the methanol-injection is active/activated?
I've never been a huge S1/A1 fan because we never got them in the US and they're not my favorite looking car. But man this thing looks so composed on track with great power delivery, DSG really suits the car.

Yes every one who has ever driven a stock S1, knows what it meens to drive such a curve fast with that short wheelbase. Imagine, the short S1 ralley car has a even 13 cm shorter wheelbase, than teh A1 based S1!
This is a serious conversion! Audi didn't do that for good reason. It requires too much manual work and the car would have been too expensive. The S1 should be cheaper than the A1 Quattro. I really enjoyed the lap. I think my next brake discs will also be DBA, they are available for the S1 with ABE
That is quick for a s1, you were doin 260kmh down that fast bit! I normally only see expensive luxury cars do that speed down there! Great job on the cooling aswell!

man, this felt so much faster then most of the 800+hp cars lately
because of consistency in corners and over the lap after all ... nice drive and no yellows ... that also gave a faster feel of the lap.
