Hi, I have question plzzz fist of all thank for this Video. its very helpful. could you mauby explain how to use those template in Vertical? I tried to change the sequence sitting from 1920x1080 to 1080x1920 but it didn't work very well because you must to re-edit the size of the transition. when I tried to edit them I couldn't get the same results of the same horizontal transition. can you please help? many thanks, Amer
Hello! Anybody knows how to save a multiple layers transition to a preset? As you can see, most of transitions in Mixkit are coming in a project file. I want to save this transition resulting from the project file in a preset, but I can't because of the multiple layers. Also, if I want just to save the sequence in a preset, it doesn't work..
I guess my only question being: Do the video clips need to be slow moving/slow motion for these to effectively work? I noticed all (if not most) of these clips are slow moving. Would these transitions work for fast paced clips, or am I watching the wrong video?
Hi Undu. I really appreciate your work and was very excited using them all. But could you help me on fixing some problems? I'm just kinda bit new to premier pro (updated 2023). whenever I import and open the project file (for example zoom), it would always have this 4 frames during the transition itself (where the cut is located). actually all the 10 templates i had had the same problem. any tips on how to fix it? thanks !
Two quick questions: 1. What are your computer specs? Make, year, processor, RAM, graphics card, etc. 2. Have you tried rendering the timeline (or at least the transition section on the timeline)? My first guess is that you might not have the processor speed or GPU to properly preview the transition in the timeline... but it may actually work just fine when rendered.
@@UnduMedia the specs fits the job but it's really due to the transition from an old version of Premier to the new one (tempalte was made from an older version of premier). I think its a bug but I still haven't found solution to it :(
@@rickyricardo58 yup you need to downgrade your premier. i got the newest one but the template was made on a earlier version. thats the only way to fix it
Great question. That will only work if your nest INCLUDES the video clips you want to apply the transition to. I.E. You can't nest the transition layers and drop that nest above your footage in the timeline. But you can drop the transition layers in your timeline, and then create a nest with those layers AS WELL as your footage. OR replace the placeholder clips in the transition with the end/start portions of your two clips (which is actually required for a few of the transition templates I didn't explicitly cover in the tutorial).
I used your tutorial already in my last video editing "Alexandria" I upload it on my TH-cam channel from 3 days, I hope you like it .. I promise to put your channel in the final of my next video in special thanks final list with all of my appreciation, Thank You :)
I think that is probably due to your computer specs (possibly slow CPU or graphics card). Try rendering your timeline (or at least the portion with the transition). I'm betting it'll work then.
this so helpful, however i have downloaded my transition and i dont know how to download the " unzipped file" of the transition, so i dont get the the project file of the transition. please help.
No, sorry. If you really wanted to, you could try rotating the entire effect (many are left-right or up-down... so just use the one that's 90 degrees of what you want). You could also edit each layer in the effect appropriately, but it's a little time consuming.
Why can't you just make a project with the adjustment layers alone; without the need to locate those videos and being completely dependent on them for it to work. Once the zip file is loaded into premiere it can't find the file, if I unzip the file and can finally find the media files, the project loads them in a different order and doesn't show the adjustment layers and their modifications. What an absolute grabage website, everything is useless and I'm not risking working with red and problematic files on my timeline. One would think you "professionals" would know how to make templates properly.
Just found your channel. And man it's a life saver. Thank you for making this video. However. Downward split and bounce and all the others like that are kicking my but. I have no clue how to work out the placeholder stuff. The others are simple, copy and paste. But these are kicking my ass. Anyone else figured it out? Help?
I don't think this works with the new PP update. I did everything as the video, but the transition displays 4 square boxes in the middle from other random clips that are within my timeline. Rendered and all that, on the latest MAC release as well.
Hello. Firstly, thanks for the video. It's great. But I have an issue. I want to do all these effects to a 9:16 ratio. When the sequence is 9:16, the effect's not work well. What should I do?
None of them work as expected. Even after rendering, the effects still look subpar, and I'm better off without them, relying on default or downloaded presets instead. I've tried using adjustment layers, but they simply refuse to work as intended.
What do i do if the transition isnt the same size as my video? I keep trying to scale to fram size but the transition is only covering one part of the vid
hi bro plz share with me the violin sound track link. really need it for my travel video project. will be grateful to you. tried a lot but failed to find it in mixkit or any other platform.
I really appreciate you doing this, however, it's pain in the ass having to resize every piece of effects for different resolution - with there was easier, more convenient way, because the transform effects have to be adjusted manually, just resizing everything wasn't enough. Also, when previewing the transitions in Premiere (latest version), I'm getting this weird effect showing the footage split in 4 little windows, but when I render everything, it's fine - I've figured it's being caused by the offset effect, no idea why, but playback just shows the offset wrong, it's fine for the final render though.
Hi Lefiath. Sorry if you were disappointed. Three points in defense, though: 1. These ARE free transitions. So in some cases they just won't be as robust as paid versions might be. That's sort of the accepted compromise we sometimes have to make for freebies. That being said, even most PAID Premiere Pro templates are created for specific video resolutions, in my experience. "Presets" can scale automatically (although I've found many of those have little quirks as well)... but "templates" are essentially Premiere Pro sequences (which inherently require a set resolution). 2. For most of the Mixkit transitions (granted, not all), it doesn't take a lot to adjust them to work with different resolutions. And for beginners or novices that's a lot easier than trying to build them from scratch. 3. I experienced the "4 little window" bug you mentioned as well. After a bit of research, I wasn't able to solve it... but it was clearly a Premiere Pro bug... not a bug with the transition files. Again... sorry if these transitions weren't what you were looking for. But I've also gotten a fair amount of positive reviews from people for whom they were exactly what they needed. So while they certainly aren't perfect for everyone, they're helpful for many... particularly considering that they're free.
@@UnduMedia Your work is very much appreciated, this is more so my commentary as Premiere Pro beginner, since I'm constantly surprised how time consuming seemingly simple things can be. In the past, I've spent hundreds and hundreds of hours helping others learn programs like Photoshop, so I absolutely understand how it is to do something for free. But one should never shy away from criticism, especially since my comment wasn't meant to disregard your excellent work at all. As a designer myself, I welcome problems and challenges, because they present opportunity for solutions. In this case, the expected problem is that everybody is going to have to adjust the transitions by hand, and since this is mostly for beginners, some of us are going to struggle. And I can handle having to change everything by hand, it doesn't take that long. The unfortunate problem is that sometimes, I would struggle with adjusting up the size of everything properly, because the transitions would be a bit too complicated for me to decipher (especially the In And Out Zoom Transition, the mixkit 47 project, which I wasn't able to adjust properly, despite going through all the effects), so I might just buy some pack that can be adjusted easily and be done with it.
Hey, Lefiath. Don't get me wrong... I APPRECIATE your comments (way better than no comments or outright mean comments). And I'm totally cool with criticism (my background is in design and advertising as well). You took the time to leave a 100% valid, well-argued criticism (i.e. you didn't just say "You suck, Undu!") ... I was just trying to offer an equally thought-out reply.
I've answered this numerous times in the comments. So to save a little time I'm copy/pasting a previous reply: Unfortunately there's no "one-click" way to scale these transitions. And it would definitely be a case-by-case situation (depending on the layers/effects/clips making up the transition). Many of the transitions can be edited by scaling up each individual layer in the effect, and then adjusting the parameters of each effect on the layer. I've actually done this. But, to be perfectly honest, it can take a little time to get right. Sorry I don't have an easier solution for you.
That is entirely possible. Please keep in mind that this video was an overview of Mixkit and a demo/tutorial on how to download and use the transitions at the time. Hopefully Mixkit will either update the existing transitions or create new ones.
PLEASE HELP, im following the steps you gave but in my asset folder there is only a adjustment transition not the zoom transition. Any way you can tell me what Im doing wrong?
Hey, Avery. Can tell me: 1. Specifically which zoom transition. 2. When you say "asset" folder, are you referring to the physical folder on the drive or the asset folder in the Premiere Pro project. If you can give me that info, I'll try help you more.
Sorry, they work best for 1920x1080 resolution videos. Depending on which transition you're trying to use, you can edit the individual effect layers to adjust them for different resolutions. You might even get away with rotating the effect layers 90 degrees.
I use FireFox as my browser to download and just go through the normal means of extracting in File Explorer. Just tried it again and its still not there. @@UnduMedia
Only if you either: (a) Rotate them. But then of course any effects will be rotated. ... or... (b) Are willing to go into each effect layer and edit the necessary parameters to fit. I've done this before. But it can be a tedious process.
