Did they succeed? We may never know. But the sound that plays at the end does suggest something.

great cover!! one tip, though: the filter you put on the robo-soldier's voice ends up making his vocals a bit off-key. for future reference a more "metallic" filter or a bitcrush usually gives a good "robot voice" effect. really cool and high-quality nonetheless :)

The robot sounded a bit off key, but other than that it's good!

I mean, the problem isn't with the vocals being on the correct key, but the killringer VST plugin that I use to make the robot vocals. It makes the vocals sound like they're on two different keys. I just wish I could fix that. Also, I might make an estranged cover with Soldier trapped in a facility full of robots, expect a few of them to sound off-key when they rlly aren't.
