- Hey you guys!! In this video I sleep at my first truck stop and had the best time ever! I am wondering why I haven't done this sooner because this would have saved me HOURS of driving to campsites in the middle of nowhere. Hope y'all enjoy and go sleep at a truck stop too hehehe
Truck driving is such a hard working profession, Fighting city traffic is so rough., but they do see some very beautiful scenery.

As a 74 year old trucker , I have slept in the back of a truck in a truckstop more than I have slept in a house and bed .
To me , sleeping in a rest area is more dangerous than in a truckstop.
The place more dangerous than a rest area , is on the side of the road at a road exit . Usually dark and no one else around.
To many crack heads prowl rest areas and road exit.

I love truck stops, they're my preferred place to sleep when I'm traveling. (Flying J is my favorite, they seem most four-wheeler friendly. I avoid Love's because they don't seem to like four-wheelers.) And I actually enjoy the outdoor noises; they help lull me off to sleep. Anyway, great video!

What software do you use for editing? I use Pinnacle but its so resource heavy that I can't even edit 4k without it taking 3 lightyears.
I live the vanlife, spend most nights at truck stops and rest stops. Never had a problem, always carry yourself with confidence, never show weakness.

Time of year definitely depends on when to stay at a truck stop. I slept at one in June in Missouri area. It was hot and humid and I didnt have my rig setup for sleeping in. so it was very cramped and no window covers. But this was a fun video to watch.
Your enthusiasm for truck stop camping is making me consider trying the Pilot just 5 miles from me.
Do it...I've slept at 60+ truck stops in my van life..stayed 4 days once...Pilots a good safe one just don't go out back where truckers are..they idle all night diesel smoke and loud..park right up front..main entrance

Stayed overnight at many truck stops, my biggest issue was the light getting in. I need better window covers. Suggestion for condensation: a small USB computer fan, they use very little power and will help circulate the air. Thanks for the video......

Hello I just run across your channel and were you where I have been there I was born and raised in Virginia actually back down the interstate but now I am in west Virginia you said you loved truck driving well I am retired now but I worked for Volvo heavy truck corporation so yeah I love the big truck's too but you stay safe and God bless love form west Virginia ❤️

You're right near my hometown of Bristol. If you're ever down that way, you need to go to the Bristol Racetrack. There are a ton of camping spots all around it. It's called Thunder Valley. Thanks for another great adventure.

Bristol here. The campgrounds charge per night. She isn't paying anything for going to truck stops and such. Even Sugar Hallow charges.
I wish I could be doing that and get out of here for a while. Oh hey, you gotta get some Proxabrush Go-Betweens and ditch the floss(maybe not completely). The're awesome and work better than floss. You just gotta experiment with the different sizes they have that work on your teeth the best. I use the pink ones and green ones.

I stop at truck stops during the day just for a cup of coffee, and find people putting themselves together in the bathroom. Most have showers too. I would be amazed if anyone gave you a second look brushing your teeth.

Ive slept at truck stops. I didn’t sleep well only because of the lights and I don’t have the window covers. Which I should get because I am going on another trip out west soon. 😊
You mentioned it was noisy at that truck stop. Get yourself a small rechargeable USB fan for sleeping. It will drown out the outside noise and help you sleep, not to mention help circulate the air. Best wishes and may God watch over you!

I’ve slept at a lot of truck stops and slept great. But maybe it’s because I have my CDL and drive trucks for a living … lol. Getting your CDL isn’t that hard but a lot of people in my class failed because of their weed habit. The sound of my truck running so I could blast the AC all night drowned out any other noise around me… lol. Then to top it off we get free showers.

Just keep in mind, when driving through Virginia, don't touch your phone or any wireless communication device. It is illegal unless the vehicle is in park or an emergency. It is a $125 fine for the first time and any time after that is $250.

Truck stops are totally cool on interstates .esp if you have destination and don't want you drive 50-60 miles to find free BLM ..Lives , Pilots. open 24 ..I park up front near main entrance..not out back with trucks..most want up front not taking up truck space plus trucks are in and out non stop , noisy too..Lives may have signs on time limits on signs..or no overnight parking .I ignore them as everyone else does .I stayed at them from NH to California..all good exp .& Safe
The wind was not because of the temperature differential, lass; it was from a cold front moving in. The differential was from low versus high pressure; wind moves from one to the other. Sorry; closet weather nerd (and storm chaser before moving to Eire). Keep up your Excellent Adventures.☘️😎

ok a truck has a pack thing like a generator on the frame some where it a unit runs heater & keeps engine warm & oil warm with out running the truck all night diesels run all night with out them in 1985&6 i used to work for truck moving company & the truck stops on I 80 & the waiters knew of me like 15 years later the head waiter said he divorced ask him about court and stuff really my daughter was 2 & her mom ran off & flipped out in court the mother inlaw offered a deal told judge she hid stuff from me about her daughter head injury in grade 3 & told me and judge said take it and run! you keep your job & get a place to live on top of it too! pay the fee and walk away! he said i sign a no money split due to settlement agreed on! my daughter 34 now merried & she hates me due to aunt & grandmother spoiled her! ( i took here likr 4 or 5 here take one tape she run around in a circle hoot and honk like a train singers! oh no really she grow up and sing! music stuff & collage too really!

I can picture it now, you and kitty snuggled in the back of the cab at truck stops travelling the highways and byways across the USA. I'd say you're safer overnighting at a Truckstop than in the middle of bigfoot's back yard. 🐱 🤠
Bigfoots back yard is safer than any truck stop as long as you don’t wander too far off the road and get lost
@@guaporeturns9472 I'm a long haul driver....there are many times drivers been killed at loves and pilots....I would highly suggest roadranger, sapp brothers, Kwik trip and QuikTrip...they have audio recording and visual recording...

Trucker drive in 11 hour shifts w/ one hour break..that's 700 miles non stop..after 50 hrs..or so a 10 hour break..usually on Rd for 4 weeks, 1 week off. Horrid job..I think .

I have social work degree and several yrs ago I went to truck traing for 5 weeks in Iowa ..first big drive was 3 million $ Amazon load into LA in rush hour..crazy dangerous drivers .in a 60,000 lb, 72 ft long middle..I quit after 4 weeks .it was co drive company and my co driver was a nasty narcissist..I got out of truck in So California and quit...worse job I've ever had we with most asshole drivers...horrid ppl horrid job .took a bus back to NH..broken starving ..

I liked some of her videos about the battlefields and offered for her to make a trip to Gettysburg if she wanted a historical place to stay and do a video. Figured it was a good opportunity for her to make some good content. She wanted me to message her on telegram, so I figured she would like more information. Well I did message her and she wanted some advice what she can approve on so I did. I brought up the reason why i reached out and it turned into some game contest. Pick a random number and "Surprise" I won a Gibson guitar and an I pad pro. I told her I thought she was a serious but I don't know her deal but she is up to something fishy and is a fraud. She asked if I could pay for her flight, just ignored that comment. Just wanted to post this to give everyone a heads up. She is a FAKE!!!
I really doubt it was even her. I got messaged on a youtube video by someone using a similar name and it was a scam, but not by the person in the video. And this wasn't this channel but another I watch.
