Modupe, I visited Ebonyi in 1996 and severally between 2005 and 2023 (earlier this year). Gov Dave Umahi, a civil engineer himself, did wonders. I remember plying the Abomege Abakaliki road in 2014 and my car took a very serious hit from the potholes there. I plied that road in June this year. There is no comparison. Dave Umahi is the man! A round peg in a round hole. He personally visits road work sites and does measurements and other stuff himself.

Umahi is the only minister i have heard with concrete ideas and willing to explain and already "hit the ground running" i might be wrong. But so far he is the only one that appears to have a plan. He built a world class Airport in Ebonyi. So Nigeria now has 3 world class international airports in Abuja, Lagos and Ebonyi. The airport is named after the immediate past president Muhammadu Buhari. There is a 30,000 seat stadium he was building that is at 70% completion, I wish I had an email of the new Ebonyi governor because the running track only have 7 lanes and 8 lanes is standard national and international athletics championships.
