We don't know if Daemonkilla continued to grow after his capture by Khorne. Orks grow when they're put in a violent environment, that's true. The stress of combat makes them gain muscle, and the fact of undergoing and surviving severe trauma acts on them like an anabolic. But Daemonkilla dies every day. It's not known if his metabolism can comprehend what's going on in a place as twisted as a hell realm, where he's resurrected every day. Maybe he's still the same size, but Khorne keeps him for his thirst for combat.
Orks are always cool because they're never really doing anything with an ultimate goal in mind later down the line, they're just on the battlefield to have fun.
13:14 spoiler for the ghazkul book actually like how in the ghazghkull book gork and Mork told him to fight the space wolfs because they wanted him to decapitated so the mad doc could attach it to the bigger ork body and Makari is immortal if he dies ghazghkull just torches another grot and Makari is reborn
I just got through the Prophet of Waaagh! book with Ghazkul. Even though it was more about the grot, it was still a good book. They kind of retconned a bit, but also maybe not. According to the Grot separate things can happen that contradict each other and are still true. Sadly I am out of Ork books to listen to now I think. Side note. Brutal Kunning was first, then Warboss is a sort of sequel and then The Big Dakka was a direct sequel.
Having Makkari's POV of Ghazkul's story is great stuff, the intermediate chapters of the flabbergasted Inquisitor and her retinue not believing it is also great.
