- SOLD Howdy, folks! Feast your eyes on the latest addition to our ever revolving inventory, a 1993 Mazda Autozam AZ-1. A one-owner car, nearly all original, sitting comfortably on cute Volk TE37's.
Edit* Upon selling the car, the seats, come to find out, were just slip-over covers. The originals were unblemished underneath. That much more preservation into the originality.
If you're interested in importing a car from Japan, please check me out and hit me up on Instagram @TrevorJonWayne
What a great looking little Roadster. It kind of reminds me of the Fiat X1/9 Bertone. Maxda may have had in mind the Fiat model I mentioned, when they created this roadster.
That car was quite literally never driven. The car world amazes me with that. Looks very easy to store and work on as well. Nicely done video. I like the color, too, and I appreciate you showing the CD auto changer is definitely an important detail. Do you plan to do more of these or is this some type of one-off?
Thank you for the comment!
I too am repeatedly blown away by the stellar condition some of these cars are in.
The Japanese especially really know how to care for and preserve things.
This one must have been in a climate controlled warehouse because even the rubber weather stripping was unblemished. A prized piece.
I am definitely on the hunt to bring more of these over, if they resemble the same fantastic condition. Rare units, but they’re out there.
Brings me joy to offer something like this for the right person who’s been dreaming of acquiring one.
Looks like more fun is on the menu. tHanks for the video
Cheers!
Congrats.
Thank you!
That's a cool car.
Thanks, bro!

Wait, you are selling it? You importing now?
Yes, this one sold. If you're interested in acquiring a vehicle I'd be happy to help. DM me on IG @TrevorJonWayne
$30k for these states side is absurd. Planning on moving to Japan in a few years so I’m wondering how much they are over there but I know cars are usually thousands cheaper. If not I’ll just pick up another Aw11 maybe supercharged this time over there.
Absurd to say $30k is absurd. "For these" is quite a generalization, they aren't all in pristine condition with "absurdly" low mileage. You could find one for cheaper, sure, but the condition will reflect that. And in a few years they will only be worth more.
@@TrevorWaynesWorld As much as I would love to say these cars will increase in value, I think the JDM market hit its peak a while ago. I don't see these 90's cars appreciating any further, the demand has died down, people have lost interest and majority of the main cars are now accessible worldwide, collectors have moved on to other things. As an Australian, I've seen prices go from incredibly cheap to where they are now, and we've been fortunate to import most of these cars since they were new but i find it hard to believe they'll go any further.
@@abbag937 Thanks for the comment. Saying 90’s cars won’t appreciate any further is blasphemy. Like, why not? lol.
I respectfully completely disagree that the market has peaked.
Maybe from an Australian perspective cuz y’all have had access to these cars since new, like you said.
But as an American, I’m seeing first hand what it looks like for people to finally get their hands on what the rest of the world has been able to enjoy for years. It’s a frenzy.
Collectors have moved on to other things… like what? 😆
Have ya seen Skyline prices lately? How about literally everything else?
I do the research daily. I see what things are being sold for in Japan.
Regardless, over time with people crashing or trashing certain cars like this one the less there will be, thus the increasing of value.
@@TrevorWaynesWorld Very interesting. Maybe the markets are different but JDM cars here have fallen alot in prices especially since covid, time will tell i guess.
Nothing creates as many smiles as this for the price. To me it is well worth 30k.
Are these street legal in the U.S.
Of course. Differs state to state but short answer is yes.
Wonder how this compares to a Miata for handling. Autocross worthy?
Miata has more power but Autocrossing an AZ-1 is definitely being done
