People of Pakistan must realise that democracy by definition is not only "for" the people but also "by" the people, the onus lies on the people of Pakistan to protect democracy ; by that I don't mean burning corps commander residence in Lahore, I mean non cooperation movement and peaceful protests against the current hybrid regime, burning places and jingoism enables the military to crack down, as an Indian I wish the people of Pakistan all the best, I hope both of us can live in peaceful democracies someday with no mutual hostilities.

I think you're spot on with your perspective. Benazir Bhutto undeniably exhibited a higher degree of intellectual depth and charisma compared to Imran Khan. It's tragic how her potential was curtailed by the military dictatorship in Pakistan, ultimately leading to her assassination. She embodied the essence of democratic leadership, but sadly, her image was manipulated by the military. They managed to convince the Punjabis, who form the majority population in Pakistan, that Bhutto was against their interests. This misrepresentation significantly damaged her support base, impacting her political journey.

I did watch it. Role of PPP and Bhutto is discussed and myth busted about Bhutto being the sole actor in the separation of East Pakistan. But was PPP created by military establishment.. You have some good points in regards to the role of establishment in ruining Pakistani politics however I'd like to raise some points and ask some questions. Firstly according to you it doesn't matter how much good or bad a government does as long as it is fairly democratically elected. Which according to you is impossible with the existence of the establishment. Then in 75 years of Pakistans existence hardly a couple years were spent under democratic rule and this would mean that 90% of Pakistans existence was unfair and unjust. You blame political parties for being supported by the establishment however they have no other choice. They never had. Secondly you say that the 2018 elections were unfair and rigged however I do not see any source or proof of that in the video and that the establishment supported Imran Khan which is why he won the election, however this is wrong. Do you think Imran Khan would not have run for prime minister if the establishment wasn't supporting him? As you have said in the video that the establishment can't decide who wins elections rather it decides who stays after elections. The establishment supported pti because of Imran Khan popularity. Imran Khan and pti were fairly popular even if the establishment had not supported pti, they would have won the elections fairly easily. Them staying in government after elections depended on establishment and as we have seen it did not end well because IK government was not agreeing with establishment. Thirdly, in your recent videos you defend pmln for their recent acts saying that they are just doing what was done to them. However you gloss over the fact that Nawaz sharif was also supported by the establishment and played a role in ending the democratically elected benazir party with the same tactics that they are using now as you said in the video. This is not the first time pmln is using these tactics and if you keep excusing every governments action because of prior governments behavior than Pakistani politics would just end up as a cycle of revenge and control instead of ruling the country. Finally, you do not present any solutions for the problems that you mention. How do we get rid of this cycle of being ruled by the establishment? How do we actually grow as a country rather than staying in these petty politics? And what's the solution for the current state of Pakistan? Wouldn't it be elections. I think you're spot on with your perspective. Benazir Bhutto undeniably exhibited a higher degree of intellectual depth and charisma compared to Imran Khan. It's tragic how her potential was curtailed by the military dictatorship in Pakistan, ultimately leading to her assassination. She embodied the essence of democratic leadership, but sadly, her image was manipulated by the military. They managed to convince the Punjabis, who form the majority population in Pakistan, that Bhutto was against their interests. I love when Indians come into comment section and try to be sympathetic towards conditions of Pakistan by projecting themselves as democratic philosopher. I could talk hours about economy but lets talk other sector too , no university in top 300 for a country when each 6 person in world is Indian. lets talk about society highly communal and castiest (thinking beyond societal customs could get you killed ). lets talk about guardian of democracy : Judiciary . I did watch it. Role of PPP and Bhutto is discussed and myth busted about Bhutto being the sole actor in the separation of East Pakistan. But was PPP created by military establishment.. That question is unanswered. I think it was, considering that military never wanted to cede authority to East Pakistan and PPP was formed just a few years before 1971..

48 hours, and still no denunciation by anyone regarding NFP for abusive language targeting women. I think tarek fatah was correct in the end that pakistan aik kayfiat hai. You have some good points in regards to the role of establishment in ruining Pakistani politics however I'd like to raise some points and ask some questions.
Firstly according to you it doesn't matter how much good or bad a government does as long as it is fairly democratically elected. Which according to you is impossible with the existence of the establishment. Then in 75 years of Pakistans existence hardly a couple years were spent under democratic rule and this would mean that 90% of Pakistans existence was unfair and unjust. You blame political parties for being supported by the establishment however they have no other choice. They never had.
Secondly you say that the 2018 elections were unfair and rigged however I do not see any source or proof of that in the video and that the establishment supported Imran Khan which is why he won the election, however this is wrong. Do you think Imran Khan would not have run for prime minister if the establishment wasn't supporting him? As you have said in the video that the establishment can't decide who wins elections rather it decides who stays after elections. The establishment supported pti because of Imran Khan popularity. Imran Khan and pti were fairly popular even if the establishment had not supported pti, they would have won the elections fairly easily. Them staying in government after elections depended on establishment and as we have seen it did not end well because IK government was not agreeing with establishment.
Thirdly, in your recent videos you defend pmln for their recent acts saying that they are just doing what was done to them. However you gloss over the fact that Nawaz sharif was also supported by the establishment and played a role in ending the democratically elected benazir party with the same tactics that they are using now as you said in the video. This is not the first time pmln is using these tactics and if you keep excusing every governments action because of prior governments behavior than Pakistani politics would just end up as a cycle of revenge and control instead of ruling the country.
Finally, you do not present any solutions for the problems that you mention. How do we get rid of this cycle of being ruled by the establishment? How do we actually grow as a country rather than staying in these petty politics? And what's the solution for the current state of Pakistan? Wouldn't it be elections. And ptis current demands are only elections which according to the constitution is their right. The current government is equally as unfair if not more than the government of IK acc to your claims.

You have to understand that where there is not much hope people have a tendency to manufacture heros and heroines....During the Independence Struggle our leaders portrayed Nawab Siraj-udaulah as the last native heroic ruler of Bengal who was betrayed by a few of his Generals to the East India Company during the Battle of Plassey. Research years after Independence unearthed that Siraj was a cruel, uncultured brute and an amoral womanizer. But he was also powerful. So the only way Generals like Mir Zafar and a few others could overthrow him was to join the British. In fact Mir Zafar, who was put on the throne by the British, was a much better and enlightened ruler.
