What if I didn't check box the "check and verify service" when I was booking my appointment and also I was not able to pay this service amount at the VFS office as I was unaware of this service. Will there be any huge impact because of this
Ideally, it should not affect anything on your visa outcome!

Usually Check and verify service is not mandatory, but you need to confirm with VFS for your category

This video doesn't cover scheduling of appointments. I'm trying to book an appointment and I see no available slots. Delhi centre is open for only 2 days a week. The application is active for only 30 days. What can we do to get an appointment in this month? Or can we change the centre after payment?
Please note that change of center is not possible after payment.......You need to fill the new AVATS form and select the new center and make the payment...........Presently very few slots are available in some of the Ireland VFS centers.......I will suggest Ahmedabad VFS as you will get the appointments easily for Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Should I fill AVATS form first and then use references number on vfs form

There is no option for tracking your application online for UK, you will be notified by email or sms regarding your application status. Also you can send email to vfs for tracking application status.

You need to login again and select Track Previous application section and schedule the appointmeent

If i am trying to book, it says duplicate passport number.! Why is that?
You might have an active appointment so you need to cancel that first or still if you face the same issue you need to send email to VFS for the cancellation of any previous application mentioning your passport number. Email - info.irelandin@vfsglobal.com
