Best through headphones or a decent sound Hi-FI :-)
Three of us who ran the Studio and friends got together in a band to pen and perform our own stuff. We were lucky to be able to call on very talented friends.
Note: I've passed a lot of water since 1986 so make no guarantees of the accuracy of any of the following, so any corrections are welcome :-)
Apart from moi on Piano, Organ, Synths, there was Guy on Guitar and Steve, who shared most of the vocals, we worked the studio, we press ganged Tam Gordon on Bass, Duncan Haddow on Sax and whistle and flute, Simon Pooley on Drums. With occasional guestings form Bruce on Trombophone and Gav Mooney with some blistering guitar, Kev White, among others . There may be other I've forgotten so I apologise in advance.
The tracks here span from 1988 to 1992, multiple writers, collaborators resulted in a wide range of styles from a wide range of influences from Rock, Reggae, World Music and others.
I have uploaded this collection of tracks for posterity really, it might be thirty years ago but they at least deserve to be up in the ether ....
We released one album on vinyl, on our own Wobbly World Records Label in 1989/90 recorded at Ca Va Studios in Glasgow (The Silencers, Texas, Wet Wet Wet ,Love And Money, Deacon Blue, andJohn Martyn all recorded there, but they all went on to some success lol) , those tracks are obvious from the crackles, we should have released it on CD, vinyl was a bit like taking a banana to gunfight in 1990
A second album, recorded at our studio on 3 Alesis ADAT 8s was in the process but it never made full release before the band broke up. The band had European Tours in 1988 and 1991.
I remastered the tracks at my own studio in 2018.
I hope these bring back a few memories :-)
I have to mention the lovely, and sadly departed Philippa Borzsony who kept the Studio management team (aka us bunch of well meaning idiots) on the right track, literally :-)
    Cheers
    Big Al (Spanners)
