Oh hey. You encountered a pokeword Precision level. If you’re wondering I’m doing Gen 5 with accounts Nate and Rosa, starting from 494 in the national dex. It’s similar to Katz’s and Z7’s pokeword series in MM1.
That Tepig precision level is actually a continuation of a MM1 series by that person. It is actually one of many alt accounts of ShyGuy64, a precision legend :) There are actually all the Pokémon before that in all generations before that, and more in mm2 on a different account.
6:39 is a shyguy level, one of the most active members of team precision. he's working on a series of pokemon word precision levels from gen 5, which is why it starts at I believe 495 (going in chronological order of national pokedex #) and since there's too many pokemon for one account, he has two, including this one. if you're interested in both, I can give you the ID to the other one :)
On the 3DW Time Attack level, I have two things to add for the clear. The first one being the very beginning, you may reset the most just there because you can grab the coin so much faster, it almost makes the second thing I'll point out insignificant. Walk a tiny bit -> Jump -> Groundpound + move to the right -> Jump as you land -> grab the flying coin barely with your head. This is, in my opinion, the most timesave. Only the very beginning. The second thing is the longjump. If you have P-Speed or the "jump continously-speed", adding longjumps has no effect. The only time a longjump has an effect in terms of timesave is when your Boost-Pad-Speed is about to run out or at the end of a conveyor belt. I hope that clears some things up.
Not gonna lie, you could totally make a mini series where you try to "catch em all" playing those numbered pokemon levels and, even as non-pokemon fan, I'd totally watch them.

#498 Tepig refers to the Fire Starter of the Unova (Gen 5) Pokemon Region. It is the pokedex # of that pokemon. :) There are close to 1000 Pokemon as of the newest region/gen, Galar. @ryukahr
FYI the level at 10:12 is called "Time Attack" in Hangul (Korean alphabet, phonetic spelling of the English words). If you want to impress your friends easily learn to read in Korean. It was once said of Hangul: "A wise man can learn it in one morning…and a fool can learn it in the space of ten days." Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Y'all remember when Ryu didn't recognize that Tauros in the one level from SMM1? And now he didn't realize that Tepig is #498 in the pokedex. This man's pokemon knowledge be slippin'.
the more jumping you do during a speed run the more it slows you down. shortest distance is a straight line and jumping adds lots of curved lines which is eating up your time.
Really like your calm attitude man, it changes a lot from other youtubers whose objective is just to laugh and rage loud enough
Dude you hit the nail right on the head there
Agree! Ryu the best smm youtuber, DGR nr2 for me aswell
...me...
9:00 Haha I actually yelled "No!!" out loud
I flinched, irl.
I felt that death personally, that must have sucked really bad
Same for me. The neighbors are about to sue me
i burst out laughing hard :D
Ryus prime feelings during this episode:
- *disappointment*
- *frustration*
- *sadness*
Whole-Heartedly agree. XD

Looks like my average day lol
Super Mario maker 2 endless super expert
One life Hail Mary = *bargaining*
The problem is that Ryu makes this look so easy but I know if I even tried endless super expert my lives would all be gone in the first level
I tried it by myself. 3 seconds in the level an i died. Im not very good :D
Same.
My record is 2 and I am better than your average player so he’s a god lmao

Should be 494 (the only dex to not start with the starters), but close enough.
I love how everyone from tp is here :)
Starts with Victini, the #0 in Unova Dex and #494 National right after Arceus, before Snivy #495
Can I get the player ID for the second account please

Ryu doesn’t understand the Pokémon reference with the Tepig level 😂
Nor do I.
Tepig has a pokedex number of 498
Imagine if the creator has a level for each Polemon
Well he did get it at the end.
@@Depressed_Spider that is true, but that was after he checked out the levels that were made

Perfectly executed 1 life hail Mary lol

He said, while playing on his Switch.
Always makes my day just a little better to see another Ryu video :)
I enjoy how the 300iq impossible level was the easiest one of the run
The description for the time attack level was the sound Mario makes when he does his long jump (oo-ah)
10:20 You'll maintain your speed longer if you just keep running. Jumping keeps resetting your maximum.
"Are there really 498? There is 500 at least."
*checks serebii and sees 898 and knows it's more if you count regional variants and some form changes*
Shame Pokemon is fucking terrible now. Started to die in USUM and SS has nailed the coffin shut. Pokemon just make games for babies now.

898 to be precise. Look on the bright side, you didn't get his tribute to Fletchinder.
14:52 the dissapointing point of Ryu's discovery of the thing v:

I actually jumped in my chair, yelling NO! in my native tongue whilst sitting totally alone.
Nintendo: Mario is the greatest platformer of all time!
Also Nintendo: Reach the goal without landing after touching the ground.

Patience is a virtue - HSG-FY6-HKG
Who’s the boss? - BPX-QRX-KGF
The part where he falls on the hail mail had me crying on the floor 😂
the pokemon the number is their dex entry. aka the numerical order in which they were added. rn there are over 800 pokemon.
Ryu is a gennwunner confirmed lol !
Tepig is a fire type Pokémon I believe. And I think his Pokédex number is #498.
I'm glad to see that ur starting to make more and more MM2 vids👍
1:10 Ryu said those magic words: "Doesn't seem too bad..."
Ah wow first time a level from a creator i know :D nice to see nate getting some more love :D i love his pokemon precision series ^^
wow. this video COMPLETELY represents how my day is going. the irony. 😤
from my experience only the longjumps while boosted make you faster, for normal running i dont think you save time
Ryus statement: That's unfortunate!.... Yep, that's unfortunate 😢

That second stage looked really fun and creative! You should have liked it....
The slowest no jump level ever followed by team precision. Brutal.
Level 498 when you die after collecting the last red coin. Well done for staying calm. I would have gone mental with rage. Hahaha
Who would dislike this? This is like my own good mythical morning
20:05 Double up on Dark Souls content, Ryu? The horror. I'm gladly willing to accept the burden, my bearded sir.

If you long jump just before the boost runs out, the boost takes longer. This was a tip from thabeast.
"Back in my day there were only 151 pokemon"
My sentiments exactly. We're not young anymore...
How you didn't lose your mind on that 10 second level is absurd
Ah heck yeah. What a way to begin the day

the more jumping you do during a speed run the more it slows you down. shortest distance is a straight line and jumping adds lots of curved lines which is eating up your time.
Real world physics don't apply to videogames
If I had a dime for every time I shorted a jump like that one at the end of your run, I could retire a wealthy man.😄
