it looks to me like you forgot one wire, the other black wire from the transformer, I believe it goes to all the white(neutral) wires.

actually if u fire up burner then remove F n F wires and place a jumper acroos F n F and the burner continues to run u hav a bad cad cell..this is in regards to the 1.5 resitor there speaking of,,,in other words u think the cell is bad..light off burner remove FF place jumper at FF terminals..If burner now stays lit replace cad cell and holder assy aswell..Pete da Boilerman NYC

That's often true. I've seen boilers where someone put the wrong nozzle in and it won't see. I've also seen soot donuts on the head that won't let the cad eye read. I've seen oil burners where someone cut out sections out of the static plate because it wouldn't see. Usually they had the wrong nozzle or they messed with the head setting and had a shitty flame.

at 7:56, how is it possible that removing one lead from the F terminal can cause the control to energize ?

Removing the wire makes the control think there is no flame hence it energizes to cause a fire but then it locks out as there will be no fire detected given the wire has been removed.
