  • I’m doing a Laundry Makeover and I decided to build cabinets from scratch after I got a quote for custom cabinets and realized it was out of my budget. This is out of my comfort zone, but I think I can pull it off. In this video I cover my plan for the laundry and how I build the first cabinet for a stackable washer and dryer which ends up being more challenging than I thought...

    I’ve been doing woodworking for 50+ years I assure you that I’ve made everyone of your mistakes at least twice and some of them fairly recently. Keep learning and growing 👍

    the piece of board that flew away was my first jumpscare of the day lol when it flew i was like what was that! then the thought a piece of flying board scaring me became comical. building something you never built before can have some suprises, but the best part about it is it's a new challenge in creativity.

    Making mistakes is how you learn, improve for next time. I like that you show the struggles and not just the perfect parts. I think it will be fine - I like the plan!

    Oh my goodness! I’m watching your laundry room reno backwards. Just subbed. You are awesome! I have NEVER laughed so hard at a TH-cam video! The “old lady crack” had me dying. Your translation of dog speak and the cat scraping the new washer at the end. Great laughs! Your work is amazing and inspiring. Im about to attempt laundry and pantry cabinets first time too. Thank you 😊

    Why not make the cabinet that seats on top of the w/d combo, put it in place on top of the w/d with a few spacers and then in the room screw the large side panel on the left and the right to the cabinet ?

    • @diytiff
      @diytiff  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Because I didn’t think of that until after I made the cabinet 🤣

    Where are your saw horses? You are going to hurt your back if you keep doing this.

    • @diytiff
      @diytiff  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was not easy to do the big pieces on saw horses, I didn’t have enough of them to support them properly, but I do eventually use them when I start working on the smaller pieces
