    This ruling segment is also important for Astellar of the White Forest, when considering the Toy monsters set from Toy Box. If you send Soldier or Tank for cost, it won't count as a S/T being sent for cost for Astellar's trigger to revive from GY as it's original card type is Monster, despite being a S/T on the field.

    You cant send shade brigandine when it is a monster as a cost for droplet while under ddg. This has nothing to do with the inzektor example. Inzektors are treated as spells and THAT is why you can send them just like crystal beasts in the s/t zone. Azurune is also treated as a trap, hence why it is a valid cost for droplet different from shade brigandine. The monarch example is sending them for an effect (dark hole) not for a cost (droplet).

    Around 7:30 I'm not sure I understand why you're using Inzektor/Unions as an example... you mention the original typing mattering even under DDG or DimFis , and I get that for the trap+droplet example, but why is it the other way around for the other example, their original card type is monster.

      @MSTTV  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Droplet specifically checks for original typing. It’s on the card.
      Yes it was an odd example.

    Great Video as always!!
    Did you contradict yourself?
    Sending hornet to the GY while d fissure is on the field fails to look at hornet’s original typing…?
    Sending Phantom Knight Shade B with droplet while DDG is active will always look at the original typing…?
    When do we check for original typing for costs and when do we look for modified typing?

      It’s not a trap monster. Trap monster behavior is specific.
      When a monster acts as an equip, it is a spell. Like Xyz materials

    I just came across the centurion ruling. I specialed abominable unchained soul and was about to destroy the field spell when I read monster card not monster and destroyed the a facedown trap instwin. Wasn't sure if I was right as it would have been a lot safer to destroy the field spell, but this won me the duel. Definitely could not whiff thr destruction. Had just enough card advantage to get over their deck and eek out the win.

    I don’t get the 1st ruling (azurune and DDG). How can you attempt to even activate the effect if the cost requires you to send it to the GY. Azurune is current type is a monster so you shouldn’t be even allowed to attempt to use the effect. I get that once it hits the GY it will be recognized as it’s originally typing (trap), but on the field it should be recognized as a monster.

    • @games1801
      @games1801 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      DDG/DF only banishes a monster if:
      -it is a monster on the field
      -it still a monster when it leaves the field
      azurune only fulfill one of the conditions, so it will not be banished
      therefore you can activate costs that send a trap monster to the gy (either if it is still a trap or not)

    • @MSTTV
      @MSTTV  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The prime monarch example would clarify this… when it leaves the field it is leaving as a trap. Behaves as a monster on field but leaves the field as a trap.
      Therefore it can fulfill the cost

    Hi, I'm confused with the 2nd scenario regarding monsters treated as equip spells being sent for cost while under D. Fissure and DDG. Are you saying I'm able to send monsters treated as spells to the GY while under monster specific banishing effects loke Fissure and DDG? Had this come up at locals where i was unable to send Toy monsters swr as spell cards cause we were under the impression they would be checked for original types and can't be sent for cost

    One ruling question came up, with the metal flame swordsman coming out in feb, whether or not it could search max metalmorph, and if max metalmorph mentions itself.

    • @garciansmith1460
      @garciansmith1460 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thing is Max Metalmorph literally does mention itself in its own card text. Card text does not include the Card Name.

    Another question related to Centur-ionPrimera as a trap card, if I chain link 1 cosmic cyclone target Primera, then chain link 2 Primera to summon from s&t zone, does Primera still get banished? And why or why not

    • @babrad
      @babrad 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It won't get banished, you can find the ruling on Cosmic vs Shade Brigandine. The reason is when a Card changes its card-type (Monster Spell Trap) from one to another, it's considered by the gamestate an entirely different card. So the trap Primera is not the same as the monster Primera. Despite Cosmic typically not missing its target, the card it targeted vanished and a "new" Primera is on the field.
      Remember to look for the wording "Monster Card" compared to "monster(s)". The former (as well as for Spells or Traps) is always capitalized and focuses on the original card type itself. The latter focuses on how the gamestate treats those cards (for example a Paleo Trap summoned as monster). This wording is what allows DDD Machinex to always chain against Centurion Monster cards, even if they treat themselves as traps at that moment.

    • @Finnjah
      @Finnjah 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      i can answer this
      when monsters moved from different locations if they are STILL considered said card then they will get banished if not it's considered a different card
      so primera when it moves from the Spell and trap zone to the monster zone it no longer is treated as a trap
      while the statue of azarune has the (this card is also treated as a trap) it is still considered the same card
      if thats makes sense

    So if you send a monster in the spell and trap zone as a continuous spell by droplet my opponent can’t respond it with a monster?

    • @MSTTV
      @MSTTV  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Correct, because droplet specifically checks for card original typing

    For the first 1, I don't quite understand the difference of that between say detaching a monster that is treated as XYZ material, or sending a monster being treated as a S/T under D Fissure/DDG (both of which are legal, and both of which the monster cards will hit the graveyard). Can you please further clarify why they are different?

    • @thomasherald875

      if the trap was continuous and the card is simultaneously a moster and a trap (ex: eldlich trap monsters) the monster return being a set st, if the trap is now considered to be only a monster, u just set the card as a set monster (ex: paleo traps)

      @@alessandrobruno_ibonaz trap monsters return to the spell and trap zone I use this in horus trap stun on md. I have played through that situation and the trap monsters go facedown to spell and trap zone.
