I know we see Eddy a lot so most of us know who he is, but I'd still like to see him introduced in the beginning of the video. My man deserves more love :)
There are two quests about playing one cost minions, I was surprised neither of them brought even one of those. The Seedlock by Rarran was a genius play though.
Random lore fact noone asked for: The reason why ghastly gravedigger (alongside tons of other cards from nathria) isn't an undead is in fact because he is fully dead and in the afterlife instead of undead. As a comparison, undying disciple is undead, not dead dead.
The crazy part is that even with this restriction you can still make almost a full wild meta deck. Like, kingsbane rogue would only be missing "cutting class"
Suggestion for another challenge - all formats best of 5. One game of standard, one of wild, one of BG (highest position wins), one where each player drafts an arena and then recreates their decks to face off, and finally tavern brawl for the decider. Love these videos!
You should try a challenge where you both play warlock self damage and the winner is the one who dies first, could make for some very creative deck building
FYI the maximum integer value is 2.147.483.647 However if values reach higher numbers that that programmers use what is called a 'long' The maximum long value is 9.223.372.036.854.775.807
Rarran is smart for expecting eddy to go full aggro, cause then he can just take small control sweepers to sway the game for him and get a combo/quest win. Very cool.
Just to correct Rarran about math: Integers go on infinitely in both the positive and negative directions. Rarran is trying to refer to a typical break point in memory allocated for an integer, which is 4 bytes. This allows for integers up/down to roughly +-2.1 billion
There are meta Wild Decks that more or less just fit these restrictions by default. Aggro is an archetype, and paladins just wanna hand-vomit when they play Aggro.
I like the intro where Rarran's like, "Usually, the lower mana costs have less impact than the higher cost ones," and his examples are Patches, one of the best cards of all time, for the low mana card drop and a vanilla 10 mana 10/10, which never saw any play because it's terrible. Like that proves the exact opposite of what you're trying to say, man.
fun idea for one of these challenges could be to only use cards with no flavor text. I wanna see some chillwind yetis boulderfist ogres and ultrasaurs dominate. would probably need some sort of stipulation on spells/card generation but then it might be hard to not have every deck be basically identical
Idk if it a great idea or not but might be an interesting deck restriction “no mana curve” since its going to be a mana line. Have equal number of cards of each costs. 3 1 cost cards 3 2 cost 3 3 cost for a 30 card deck or 4 of each with renethal
You should draft mana costs next: both have access to 11+ drops, and then take it in turns picking mana costs between 0-10, and can only use those cards
About the limits of integers. So hearthstone runs on 32 bit which means that the maximum value that can be used is 2,147,483,647 (around 2 billion). But the devs could have just limited it to something lower if they wanted to.
He @Rarran, I don't know if youll see this, but first of all I love you and your content. I know you have been looking for some different stuffs to hearthstone and Id like to put my hat in the ring for some suggestions: first id recommend across the obelisk is like slay the spire with a pinch of darkest dungeon in that you manage 4 characters each run and build a separate deck for all of em. This is also a cool multiplayer game as it supports up to 4 players, so maybe you could team up with some peeps. The second is a bit more off the cuffs: you could play some deckbuildin co-op boardgames like aeon's end and spirit island either via their clients or via something like tabletop simulator if you can find a few buds to play along. gl my dude and keep up the funsies😊😊😊
To answer your question rarran. Hearthstone uses a 32 bit integer. The max amount of armor is 2 ,147,483,647. Does this mean that because I know this better than you, that legally you have to give me your computer science degree? 😒 🤔 Subscribe for more math and cringe facts, lol
I actually think a traditional aggro deck is horrible in this format - they might have all the cards they need to function, but the problem is that aggro is not good against opponents that also run a ton of cheap cards. A deck that has no "win condition" but still runs a ton of cheap and efficient cards (and board clears of course) is the worst possible matchup for an aggro deck, because the win condition vs. aggro is to just not die, so having a ton of cards that you can just play early on and are efficient are the best way to beat them (but sucks vs. any other deck that people would normally run.. but if those other decks don't exist..).

youre right!
@@Rarran Erm actually its you're not youre 🤓

Eddy on his alt typing up "I can't believe Rarran would run such tryhard decks again" to win the mental diff
If Thaddius were to make decks, these would be it.
Look at how tryhard Rarran goes when he plays against Eddy. Smh.
Need more of these challenges with Eddy, you guys make for great content to watch. Keep it up!!!
6:54 "did you go for the route I went for?"
"maybeee"
absolute comedy
Rarran can relate much more to these cards then the cards in the other videos
Rarran, you look fantastic(ly small) today
I had seriously hoped Eddy would bring back his Darkness printer deck.
The crazy part is that even with this restriction you can still make almost a full wild meta deck. Like, kingsbane rogue would only be missing "cutting class"
love you and eddy's energy
Idk how you manage to mesh so well with other content creators but I'm so happy you do it

That sounds fun, the only problem I see is the current tavern brawl, since it is the brawliseum
@@seraphimhead553 yes would need to be careful on which brawl to use for sure!

Feels like this as a challenge against Eddy would be nice: Every card has to have either 1 attack, 1 health or 1 cost.
I love the Eddie's guessing secrets mini game :D got me laughing so hard

That Kripp impression was spot on LOL
Eddy knows that face is the place, like a true heartstone player
Imagine a 9 part series where Rarran & Friends play with a deck filled with cards from one mana cost, 1 - 10
these challenges with eddy are legit my sleeping pills at night. love the content!
that makes it sound like they bore you

The Riddler vs sentient fishes was a very fun end to this video.
That last game was one of the funniest things I've watched in a while!
Rarran discovers Zoo in 2024
i don't think we've seen armor that high since the days of control warrior with trueheart tbh, always love to see an eddie collab
Rarran out here making his own tavern brawl challenges what a chad
I would argue after the "Albatross Incident" then Rarran should always play as toxic as possible so Eddy can as well
I crave the salt
Next challenge is clearly "Cards that cost exactly 5 mana"
Idk if it a great idea or not but might be an interesting deck restriction “no mana curve” since its going to be a mana line. Have equal number of cards of each costs. 3 1 cost cards 3 2 cost 3 3 cost for a 30 card deck or 4 of each with renethal
honestly your videos with eddy are PEAK content, pop off eddynation
5:55 Yowzahhh O.O and it ain’t even overr
Rarran discovers zoo in 2024 lmao
Eddy going "this is going to be a short video" with 25 min left on the video is so funny to me
19:25 in wrestling it's known as the squared circle
Oh my god seeing Eddy using Rat Trap was such a nostalgia trip.
I want to see a shadow vs holy, fire vs ice and nature vs fel next!
"Yeah that's 100% a kidnap" Literally can't be because he saw the ones not generated played earlier lol
Look at how Rarran tries hard against Eddy in these challenges
19:27 You're thinking of the squared circle
this first game was crazy
You should draft mana costs next: both have access to 11+ drops, and then take it in turns picking mana costs between 0-10, and can only use those cards
I think secret is one of the most fun mechanics. What is unfun is how strong some secrets are.
secrets are just bad when it feels like you hard lose no matter how you try to play around it (objection)
I saw hunter and thought "oh no the albatross are back"
alternate title "Rarran cosplays the Trapped Room"
Wow, Rarran knows that INT32 max is somewhere in billions. I'm impressed that he's somewhat of a programmer himself
That last game was beautiful
The comeback was insane
Say 72 of Rarran's Really Cringy Comments
We got
2 we're so back
1 Albatross PTSD
1 He's so big
1 Mommy
1 Fruedian Slip
1 Turbo Nuts

sometimes they call the ring the "squared circle"
In wrestling the ring is called "the squared circle" by a lot of people, funni wrestling joke.
Garrote rogue would be fire for this
Pirate rogue in wild is basically 4 or lower cards only aswell
So cool that now Eddy is the Hearthstone World Champion!
I feel like you could probably print a fun legendary with a similar restriction
Very creative idea! Interesting watch
So now Eddy is officialy the world champion right? thats how it works.
This is just how wild works lol
Look how tryhard Rarran goes

Skipper is my favorite Warrior card.. and I hope Warrior gets it next rotation... although a bunch of the enrage stuff is going away so...
It's called the squared circle or a ring. But I'm definitely calling it a square now
Surprised no one played quest rogue lol you can easily complete it with
Rarran died as he lived... Eating carpet
videos with eddy are so goated keep it up rarran !!!
32:31 Easy lethal if Rarran picked "motion denied".
A secret style tavern brawl where you get 5 random secrets each turn would be cool!
That... *Has PTSD Flashbacks of the Trapped Vault in K&K* ...would be HELL ON EARTH
What a swipe from eddy!
Chad eddie bringing Murlock

In wrestling it is in fact called, “The Ring.”
rarran played the last game as the trap room out of dungen run
Look how tryhard rarran goes VS Eddy
So basically aggro swarm hunter/druid
Rarran my brother in Christ, I have not seen a cardd that costs more than 4 on ladder in wild for years now this aint no challenge.
lol, every wild aggro deck has only 3 costs at max
back in my days when i still played hearthstone it was simply called facehunter and the most common deck on ladder :^)
⭐ I had to make a video retaliating the "Secrets are a good design" argument...
And it didn't go as I expected 🤔

Wow, look at this rarren he isn't try harding, he doesn't see Eddy as a real opponent
Eddy: "I have 10 more health than you"
then Rarran just ends the game with 103 armour
Wheres the potion of madness priest?!? Its all below 3!
You forgot to introduce Lt Eddy 💀
No way neither thought of crystal core rogue
In WWE its either called ring on squared circle
the real question is ehat did u guys think of Uncut Gems
Hunter and druid have so many 1-4 manna impact cards... XD
Man the Aranna is GORGEOUS but it's too expensive for me :(
I need to know whats going on with that skip me deck
I completely forgot about the Tradle (that's the export thing Rarran is talking about).
Tiny bois > big bois
Thank Christ Rarran didn't win in the end, Secret Rogue is infuriating
