As an esthetician, I would recommend that you put some talcum powder on your underarms after cleansing, before you start waxing. That will help your wax grip the hair better. Also, for those who are having someone else wax them- have that person hold down your skin and stretch it where they will be pulling from. Also helps it be more painless since there’s less tugging. And for anyone like us with hyperpigmentation- exfoliating 2x a week helps remove dead skin. Perfect for all of you skin but especially where we want areas to look smoother and more even toned. Side note- hyperpigmentation is very very common. As a Dominican and fellow woman of color I too have hyperpigmentation. Also Vitamin C helps with that too 😘. Hope this helps.
It's so cool seeing your growth :) Ever since high school, I've come across your videos and you were a BIG inspiration for me to start using oils for skin care and oil cleansing, and in general to use clean products. I'm now in college and it's been a habit that's shown amazing results and have stuck with me. Thank-you!
We’re so so excited that you like your Flex Cup 😍 Do want to clarify that you should only use the pull-tab to break the suction seal, then reach in, grip the base to remove. Let us know if you have any interest in trying our new Flex Reusable Disc! It’s quickly become our best seller. It hold 6+ super tampons (the cup holds 2+) and you can use it for mess-free period seggs 😉 Would love to send 💛
SUPER late to this video and the comment section, but tooootally stand by their comment about the Flex Cup AS WELL AS the Flex Reusable disc. Absolute game changer for periods!!! As a scientist with some familiarity in endocrine/reproductive function, I was skeptical...but the company has done their research! The products genuinely work and being environmentally friendly is icing on the cake. 10/10. Would recommend.
Agreed. Avid user of the flex cup and discs (does work for seggs). Best brand for cups imo. I have fibroids and heavy flow at times. Flex cup never fails me. Even when tampons have.
I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed this video. I’m trying to go 100 % natural and I’m like if Alba is using it then I’m good. Thank you for sharing.
I love that you put us on to new things. Everyone is so hooked to the mainstream stuff. I trust that you’ve done the work to make sure it’s a good product. Now I need to go buy it all 😂🛍
There’s something so calming yet enriching about your videos. I don’t comment much but I’m a long time fan and supporter. Always a thumbs up from me. 👍🏾♥️
I am so glad you are able to put out more videos these days! I first started watching your videos a long time ago for curly hair content because I have similar density and curl texture....back in the day when curly hair didn't feel as cool. I've learned a lot from you and have truly embraced my curls. I love that you share luxury and budget friendly options. I also love that you are so picky about ingredients. As a chef, I learned very quickly that beautiful ingredients equal beautiful food. I believe it is the same with beauty products. We have to educate ourselves about ingredients instead of trusting that everything on the shelf is safe. Thanks for the education! I learned something about armpits and shaving today! ❤️😂
Thank you so much for this great support and your kind words! Glad you learned something about shaving! I wish I was waxing since my teens before I even started waxing because I remember being so self conscience with dark arm pits until I realized waxing is better since shaving was the cause of my irritation and darkness.
For my birthday month I wanted to do a beauty makeover haul. So I purchased many of you recommended products from this video and your skin care video. I LOVE everything! Im now obsessed with the Peach & Lily line. And your radiant glow oil..😍 It's incredible 🤍
Hey Alba, I remember you talking about your struggles with balancing your hormones in a previous video and I wanted to share that the ayurvedic herb " shatavari" helped me greatly with my hlrmones . Look up the benefits as I think it will help you too.
Love everything about this; but just wanted to share: it’s best to use something that has zero fragrance for the vaginal area. Some docs say you only need water to cleanse this area; but I know most of us don’t feel comfortable with just water. And every doc I know has said not to use scents in this area at all; they can do more harm than good. Love your videos…seriously so helpful and informative! ♥️
I just found your channel. My granddaughter is biracial and is blue eyed and blond, but with corkscrew frizzy hair and I've been trying to learn how to take care of it. You are so wonderful I'm going to watch for myself as well.
🥰🥰🥰. Protective hairstyles will help alot. Braids or twists. There is a mask I make myself and it works great to hydrate. I mix an egg and olive oil , put it all on the hair and put a plastic wrap on it. Leave for a few hours and then wash off.
I just love...your skin care videos. They are so informative 🤗 I am extremely hairy 🤭 & I shave every 3 weeks. I am thankful I haven't had a problem with hyperpigmentation. I do exfoliate & apply toner & oil after shaving any areas on my body. It has helped me for years...
Dear Alba this video is great. Very helpful. I'm sick of lip hair and shaving my underarms every 3 days. Ugh. I'm going to check out these products. Thanks
Hi! Have you considered using sugar wax? It's literally lemon, sugar and water. I use to go get Brazilians done but due to the pandemic I learned how to do the Brazilians myself. It saves me alot of money and you can make it yourself. Also the huge benefit from sugaring is that my hair is super thinned out now. Long term use of sugaring results in having your hair end up being so sparse that it barely is there now. Idk if the same happens with just regular waxing.
Yes I’ve looked into it and tried it one time, but it was not very effective to remove my thick hair, so I gave up on it and used hard waxes which removes much better from the root. Sugar wax is awesome for people with thinner hair though or my face and arm hair for example but not good on my underarms and legs because it’s not as effective. Waxing in general thins out hair and overtime reduces growth which is what I’ve experienced too. My hair is thinner and grows less so it’s less maintenance but it’s still too thick for sugar waxing.
@@Mrs.AlbaRamos really? Was it hard sugar wax? When I make my sugar wax, I heat it up to 260 degrees which results in hard wax. I have thick hair too, especially down there. I have 3c hair so my hair is pretty thick all over. But of course, to each thier own :)
Alma your such a beautiful spirit ❤️ I’ve been watching your videos for years and can’t get enough! I love when you do videos like this because I get introduced to new clean products. You also help get me back centered on using nontoxic products. Thank you for your time, energy and education. May God bless you and your beautiful family ❤️ Xoxo
I also wax myself and highly recommend doing smaller patches on your underarms since the hairs may grow in several different directions- meaning no second wax step or epilator. I also find it less painful overall since some areas seem to be more/less sensitive than others. I love this content, please keep making it!
Omg 😱 that’s what I have on my arms!? Keratosis Pillaris. Been trying to figure out what it is and how to get rid of it for years. Now that I know what is I can tackle it. I also have the same reaction to baking soda based deodorants. I think because it’s alkaline/not ph balanced to our skin since skin is more acidic. Using ph balanced soaps all over the body has helped tremendously with skin issues. This video came right on time cuz I was wondering what other organic féminin care products to use especially for discoloration under the arms. You always have the hookup. Thank you 🙏🏾
I love the flex discs. They feel like nothing and are so comfortable to wear. Love your self care videos because I like to see what organic and natural products you share. I tried the milk and honey deodorant and had the same experience as you when I first started using them too much!
Yessss! I noticed milk + honey also has a baking soda free formula but I never tried it. The “extra strength” label on the one I purchase was very attracting to me lol
I love flex disc also but it has a bit of a learning curve for me. For natural deodorant I’ve been using lumē, (the solid stick) as my natural deodorant and the squeeze bottle as a on the go for every where else I sweat. Delicious scent and I live in Florida. I love em💕
Your videos just popped up yesterday on my feed. I’ve watched a few of your videos. Omg you are so amazing and informative. I’m learning so much (53 and still learning). ❤❤❤
Forever my favorite TH-camr. Your content is so relaxing and I genuinely take note of every recommendation! Definitely going to try the deodorant and wash you used for your hair in the shower. It looked so moisturizing! 🌼

The menstral one suggested in this video has really helped especialy since i am considering the mentrstual cup to save $$. I am just scared though about the feel and also if i'm in public bathrooms how to clean/ change it etc
Thank you! As for the menstrual cup, you can’t feel it! It’s possible you even forget you have it in there. And as for public bathrooms... it will never get to the point of even having to remove it in a public bathroom because menstrual cups are meant to be in up to 12 hours without removal or needing to dump out blood. That’s because it’s able to hold more blood than a tampon and you would be inserting your cup in the morning and go about your day. Because you can leave it in for such long hours your chances of ever being In the situation of a public bathroom is unlikely.
@@Mrs.AlbaRamos this is super helpful & convincing me to purchase this product especially the overall benefits. Thank you SO much 💙💙 a long time fan since your early NY days

You were the first curly hair influencer I ever followed and love love all you do! Thank you for changing my life!
Dr. Vanita Rattan has a great video on bumpy skin (strawberry skin) using a salicylic wash by CeraVe followed by moisturizer. I got some crazy bumps after waxing my legs, so I did the routine for 1 WEEK EVERYDAY and my skin was smoother than ever NO LIE!
Alba, the same reaction happened to me. Now I can only use the native deodorant that is for sensitive skin -free of aluminum and baking soda. I also use a crystal deodorant spray but have to reapply. Love your channel 💕
I admire and appreciate your lifestyle so much! You have influenced me a lot through the years. I think you’d love sugaring instead of regular waxing. It’s natural & hair grows back less each time!

Thanks for the video Alba. It was refreshing to see a beauty influencer who has the same skin texture and sensitivities. It makes it easier to try the products you recommend.
I love these types of tutorials. Great info. I've used a period cup for years now, stopped my cramping. Ps your husband is very handsome! Love from New Zealand.
I learned a phenomenal underarm deodorant trick that is deodorant free….you wash first with body wash or soap and the apply some benzoyl peroxide body acne wash and leave on for 30-60 seconds then rinse off. When you’re all dry, then apply some mild glycolic acid toner that’s for the face and leave it on, let it dry. That’s it! The acne body wash kills the bacteria that’s the real reason our sweat turns stinky in the first place and the glycolic acid exfoliates and somehow helps prevent odor as well. It actually works phenomenally well for me, even for 48 hours and I love that’s there’s no aluminum or even any added fragrance. Feels super fresh and just clean.
Hey Alba loved the video, I’m just throwing in my request for some more makeup tutorials, I’ve been a supporter and watching your videos from the beginning, and found your channel many years ago through makeup tutorials, and just wanted to say that I love and miss them. Have you tried sugaring?! I know you would love it… so natural and very gentle on your skin.. plus it’s less painful then waxing and a lot more gentle on the skin. Just started watching your videos and I’m in 💜💜. Totally getting rid of our microwave! Thanks for continuously mentioning how it’s not good cuz it clicks for me. I’m also going to start clearing up the unclean products I have.. thank you!!! 💗💗💗
Thank you for taking the time to create this video! A nail tutorial would be nice, along with the removal process. I’ve been going bare nails for some time and am starting to miss colored nails but I just can’t find a place that I trust with my nails.
I did laser hair removal on my entire body and LOVE it including brazilian. It’s no longer as expensive as it used to be and it’s permanent.Simplicity Laser has many national locations.
Yaaaasss the thunder didnt wven sound real! I love it!! 💖 Edit: i wanna try those face masks and the deodorant! I would love to see a nail video from you!
Omg I’m glad you are showing the flex cup I had one they are great but I recommend the ring much better. The Lumma are great been using since 2020 highly recommend and they have a sale going on right now .
Flex discs are amazing! There’s definitely a learning curve but if you: pee before pulling it out, pee while really pushing the pelvic muscles and then pushing it back in (this dumps out most of the blood) you should be good for 8-10 hours. I would use a pad for back up until you get used to it. They also sell compostable baggies to wrap around your hand so your fingers don’t get bloody. They also reduce period symptoms and are disposable unlike the cup. They’re the best!
I use retinoids and glycolic acid on my body and underams. Panoxyl helps keep my underarms clear and smelling nice. I cant wax because I use acids. I use Panoxyl in the groin area as well.
Such a great video, Alba! Will definitely look into some of your skincare products. I’ve been looking for something new to try, especially for under eye. 😊
Ive had a hard time finding a natural deodorant. Several kinds have given me the same reaction as those gave u. Currently using Toms but it doesnt last very long.
Thank you! I’ve already done a covering greys at home video and I did a video just a few weeks ago on my hair color process too. So there’s nothing to update just yet. It’s all been said 🤍
I have been waxing myself since high school lol Alba, just keep doing the wax when you can. The more you do, the more you will learn. It took a lot of trial and error for me. even things like humidity of the air and skin affect how effective the waxing goes, and i learned that the hard way. Now there are probably lots of youtube videos to help. but honestly once lasers became affordable for me, i went that route. Waxing gave me way too many in grown hairs in my bikini area. The lasers even closed and cured the ingrown hairs. Now, I wax like twice a year..for all my usual hairy parts lol
I’ve been waxing my underarms for over 5 years myself but I’m not at the laser level yet because I have to be certain it’s not causing more bad than good health wise and im not sure laser removal is good for health.
@@Mrs.AlbaRamos i figured laser was not quite aligned with a clean lifestyle. You’ve inspired me to make changes where i can but i haven’t been able to let go of lasers just yet😞 there def is not a lot of research about the long-term effects of lasers so i totally get the caution 💜
Oh SNAP! I’ve been using the Parissa Wax kit since November and I LOVE IT! I love that it is Alba approved! I feel like it was easy to use cause I only just started waxing at home, it was painless and worked SUPER WELL!#coarsehairgirliesuntie! Love this video. Thank you Alba ❤️
I searched and haven't come across any studies stating health dangers from microwave, more so it said that it helps preserve nutrients better! Would appreciate if you can link me any study supporting your claim x
I might include it in a different routine maybe a beauty routine, because I think a dedicated video on just nails will be a waste of my time. I don’t think enough people want to see that.

Thank you for taking the time to create this video! A nail tutorial would be nice, along with the removal process. I’ve been going bare nails for some time and am starting to miss colored nails but I just can’t find a place that I trust with my nails.
You remind me of a young lark voohries from Saved by the Bell. Love the vids. New subscriber.
I did laser hair removal on my entire body and LOVE it including brazilian. It’s no longer as expensive as it used to be and it’s permanent.Simplicity Laser has many national locations.
I really want to try the deodorant and nail polish. Thanks for sharing Alba! I really trust your recommendations.
Can you do anti-aging routines & products. Yes please, more nail/manicure/pedicure videos with products & diy recipes as an alternate option.
Hands down!! Loved this entire video! Got so much tips from u!❤️
I’ve missed you so much Alba 😍 I’ve been watching you for years 🥰
Yaaaasss the thunder didnt wven sound real! I love it!! 💖
Edit: i wanna try those face masks and the deodorant! I would love to see a nail video from you!
Omg I’m glad you are showing the flex cup I had one they are great but I recommend the ring much better. The Lumma are great been using since 2020 highly recommend and they have a sale going on right now .
YES! great video, I needed and update on my products 😕
Still using your Radiance Glow oil! 😊 is a must for me and my teen. ❤❤❤ we just love it.
Please can you tell me radiances glow oil thank you
🥰🥰🥰 thank youu for this beautiful & soft content !! I love it 🤗💖🌷
laser the hair, best thing ever
Flex discs are amazing! There’s definitely a learning curve but if you: pee before pulling it out, pee while really pushing the pelvic muscles and then pushing it back in (this dumps out most of the blood) you should be good for 8-10 hours. I would use a pad for back up until you get used to it. They also sell compostable baggies to wrap around your hand so your fingers don’t get bloody. They also reduce period symptoms and are disposable unlike the cup. They’re the best!
Hi Alba! Would love a nail care routine from you ❤️.
I use retinoids and glycolic acid on my body and underams. Panoxyl helps keep my underarms clear and smelling nice. I cant wax because I use acids. I use Panoxyl in the groin area as well.
Does it get rid of strawberry skin? I had them for a long time I hate them so much lol
Yay, that’s exactly what I recently learned to do and I’m thrilled with how effective it is! Genius
Such a great video, Alba! Will definitely look into some of your skincare products. I’ve been looking for something new to try, especially for under eye. 😊
Thanks for this video and all the knowledge 😍 🤩
period cup! interesting.. i think whats trying to come should come out - but no hate i think its a cool tool!
This was so much fun to watch 👍🏽❤️ and informative
Ive had a hard time finding a natural deodorant. Several kinds have given me the same reaction as those gave u. Currently using Toms but it doesnt last very long.
While you were explaining your skin type I was like omg sameee
Great video! You have been my go-to for stuff like this. Also, I loved all the sass in this video lol
Love you content 😍 I especially enjoy your hair care vids..would you care to do an updated grey hair dying tutorial now that you hair is bleached
Thank you! I’ve already done a covering greys at home video and I did a video just a few weeks ago on my hair color process too. So there’s nothing to update just yet. It’s all been said 🤍
Your videos are always a pleasure to watch
You should try threading too. I love it
Alba this video came just in time thanks!
Love love love your videos!! 😍
Love it. Your videos are fantastic. Thank you for sharing your routines.
I loved this raw video 💛
Love your video ❤so helpful , also where is your one sleeve tank top from please?
😂😂☺️ I love the hashtag here too lmao yes
Thank you so much beautiful compatriota por el amazing video as always!!! God bless you!❤️🙏🏽
You look like Shai Moss, Bow Wow and Joie Chavis’ daughter.
Absolutely gorgeous!
You should try vinegar and water on your hair. Helps with dandruff, oily hair and shine!
Sad to see you leave. You're amazing
Leave where?
@@Mrs.AlbaRamos at the end of the video. Or rather sad that the video has to come to an end at some point
@@Mrs.AlbaRamos 💀🤣🤣
Great video!! Would love to see you do a manicure tutorial.
We moved to Texas too and I’ve been struggling finding the right sugaring place
I searched and haven't come across any studies stating health dangers from microwave, more so it said that it helps preserve nutrients better! Would appreciate if you can link me any study supporting your claim x
Can we have a nail tutorial? I always struggle knowing how to properly file my nails, and I always end up spending more than I should at the salon.
I might include it in a different routine maybe a beauty routine, because I think a dedicated video on just nails will be a waste of my time. I don’t think enough people want to see that.
I loved this video Alba! Thank you for sharing 🤍
You’re so pretty sis!
I learned so much in this video! Thank you Alba 😭❤️
