You can put a war belt on in your underwear in a few seconds. You can put a war belt on over layers of winter clothing. You can hand it to anyone of roughly the same size and they can wear it over whatever you they're wearing. You can take it off before dropping a deuce in a porta-potty. That's the day-to-day stuff people forget about.

      John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

I really appreciate your humble attitude. It’s refreshing to see someone who doesn’t have to display their intellect and skills through arrogance but rather through experience. It’s also a pleasant surprise that you elect to keep the language clean so I can watch with my children around.
Thoroughly enjoying the content, looking forward to more videos. The history of the 1911 and glock in combat were 2 of my favorite. Would also like to see a video on your thoughts to what’s happening in the world and how you feel men should be spending their time in light of such.

First, Thank You I'm glad you like my content. I do swear alot when not on camera (byproduct of 26 years in the Army)! I am hesitant to comment on current events and things like that, I feel that with not being there in person (this applies to anything) I dont want to armchair quarter back things. I know what happens in a firefight on the ground in person can look totally different from a different point of view such as drone footage, pics, video. I can only hope to pass on my experiance in such things in my videos, and maybe that will help others in similar situations.

While my time was always as an OCONUS MP or DOD police, I had to wear a fully loaded duty belt all day of my shift. Most of my coworkers had shifted to the inner/outer combo but I always preferred the older belt keepers. The few guys that did wear them as well eventually switched to the Velcro system because they only wore 4 clips. 6-8 is really what is necessary to keep everything in place.
Yes it’s bulky, yes it’s a pain in the rear to take on and off just to go use the restroom, but it was more about security than speed. My academy (even as a prior MP on the very installation I’m working then as a civilian I had to go back to FLW) put us through the fight ring in full gear. Those students that used the inner/outer or that only used 4 clips had one thing in common at the end of the fight: their gear was never where it was when they started the match. By the end their duty belt was backwards, up in their armpits, gear was moved around, or had been completely lost, thus losing retention of their weapons and tools. Those of us that followed the school house teaching of 8 minimum snaps and preferably one on either side of of every piece of gear had everything in place.
Later in my patrol career even small skirmishes with a noncompliant individual oftentimes had the officer’s gear all jacked up. We’d have to do a police call just to get his flashlight, baton, OC spray, etc…
Another plus is that you can still use suspenders with the snap system!

when I was in the marines in 2010-2011 with 3rd recon I had no idea war belts existed but I ended up making my own. I used the LBV vest and cut the belt off and used that with mags an ifak and holster.

See no offense but I see so many vets talking shit towards civilians because they don't have experience in this or that. Hell they bash their own over this and that when the reality is....here we have an infantry marine who didn't know about a war belt in 2010. You only know what you know and just because you were something doesn't mean you know everything.
And this was not a dig at you personally.

When I transitioned from the Marines to working as a prison supervisor, I wore a nylon duty belt that mated with a Velcro trouser belt. I found that I still needed to use belt keepers to keep things together without squeezing myself to utter pain. Over time, the weight of the duty belt began causing pain in the sides of my hips and above my buttocks. Turns out, this is a problem that LEOs have dealt with for years which causes nerve damage over time. This is where the duty belt pads and padded duty belts came into the scene. Those weren’t allowed with our uniform, however. So as I built up my gear and found my place as a “deplorable,” “militant” civilian, I went with a First-Spear AGB sleeve over a duty belt. I haven’t looked back since. The comfort and prevention of long-term injury really solidify the “war belt” as THE right choice for that kind of set up. Now, if you’re only carrying a pistol, couple mags, and a light, a inner/outer duty belt combo is great. It’s when you start adding a rifle mag or two, IFAK, dump pouch, multi-tool, restraints, etc that you really should be using a war belt.

As a casual USPSA competitor shooter who often takes vacations in the form of gun classes I have to say that the ease of donning a war belt v.s. Inner/Outer cannot be understated. I hate velcroing crap on, it takes forever and I am impatient. I love my HSGI slim grip belt and having the option of wearing it outside of a coat when training in crap weather is also nice.

I found myself eventually getting multiple items but stuck to the a 2piece combat belt and a war belt as shown here.
Both for the same reason of comfort ease of reach and being able to take it off without practically stripping naked.

I am a little late to the party but this is top tier content. Humble and experience driven. Speaking of belts though I gotta say I became a more of a fan of the battle belt v. the two piece systems when I was still serving. Sure two piece belts are more stable and don't move around on ya but that hook velcro on the edges would always find a way to irritate me. Also I found it slower to put it on. Padded battle/war belts were always faster to throw on. Also, dont need to worry about running that inner loop belt on your pants. Hell, with the war belts you didnt even need pants. That being said it is 100 percent a personal preference thing and at the end of the day we were/are just trying to carry easily accessible stuff on our hips. Many a way to skin that cat.
Edit: I did rock a two piece belt for a training exercise lasting several weeks and I can confirm it sucks (cannot emphasize this enough). I never again rocked one. Went with a padded belt for the rest of the time while I was in. Ran a high-speed gear belt for deployment and never looked back.

My belt kit during Iraq/Afghan was simple, ammo, water, med pack. Thats all you need on the belt, maps/pens/markers on chest rig along with mags for rifle and pistol. Radio on the rig aswell. Nothing flashy as the issue stuff we had was good enough with abit of home adjustment. Had a small swivel mount attached to the right shoulder of the chest rig to clip my rifle into (hated the issue sling) That will sort you for a small patrol/village clearance.

As civilian "prepper" I find the Vietnam era war belt more appealing.
    A) precious magazines are well protected against elements
    B) buttpack gives me better chance of survival if I lose the main pack
    C) it has WATER!!! in two separate containers - the most important ingredient for anything.
If I find myself in a situation where I roll in vehicles, kick in doors and then go back to camp in one day or be on range, sure, I would prefer the modern operator belt kit.

No joke, I was eyeballing that ATS belt not 10 minutes before I saw you posted this. Thinking how to set something up for my wife, and ATS is one of the only few making small enough sizes for women. Great point about the stiffness factor for the inner/outer. I recently took a heavy riggers belt and ran it through an HSGI Duty Grip pad, so it's basically duty belt config that rides like a battle belt. I quite like it so far.

I gotta agree, the inner outer is a great way for short term use. Wear around the FOB, or vehicle work. I see the ArborArms SALT belt. One thing I like about it is the MOLLE panels are set up so that the entire inner belt doesn’t have to be taken apart to switch one item out.
For longer patrols/“recce’s”, tried and true ALICE styled kit, but upgraded.

@18:21 The true sign of a veteran warrior is that they can take a nap anywhere, any time. I was using a warbelt (Condor) but after a while it feels heavy and restricts my hip movement, even with suspenders, so I recently switched to a stiff outer belt but without any loud velcro inner belt. I wear it over my hips with less gear on it than my warbelt while patrolling the 40 acres; so far so good.

I am also a lefty with a rifle, so I appreciate the setup here, don't see too many videos by shooters at your level who shoot left-handed. I am completely ambidextrous with a pistol however which gives me a lot of freedom when it comes to where I mount my pistol, I do however like to keep my secondary firearm on my left side, since my right hand is used to feeding my rifle, it's practical to be consistent with that for my pistol. So normally I'll wear my pistol on my left, I also prefer a drop-leg, and while I have my eye on the HSGI Taco pistol pouches, I currently have three Emdom USA pistol mag pouches, one open-top for my speed reload, and the other two covered so hopefully I don't lose those two if I take a tumble. Unfortunately here in Canada, the Push Dagger is illegal, but in 2020 I did pick up a HBB CCK-01 Compact Clearance Knife as my last, last resort edged weapon. I'm a bit of a GGG (Grey Ghost Gear) fanboy, so my current belt is a UGF belt, however, I recently lost 20lbs. and three inches off my waist, so I am looking for a new belt as I now need a Medium, and my UGF is a Large. Open to lefty-friendly kit recommendations, and to any Cdn retailers as shipping time/costs for most US brands can sometimes nearly double the cost of an order!

Thats crazy no push daggers? Plus before Canada went nuts with gun laws, you were able to get some pretty cool guns up there. As far as being a fan boy of certain products, nothing wrong with that.

Had a belt in 2013 since SAW pouches took up all the space on my armor. I don't remember them being comfortable or something I wore other than out of necessity. May try the ATS belt since I have gotten a lot of use out of your recommended mag well extension. I currently have a chinese inner/outer for my pistol/dump pouch.

If you wear the inner/outer higher up on the waist as opposed to on the hips, a lot of that pressure is taken away (at least in my experience). When I go rucking or backpacking, I wear my first line sometimes just to see if I'll be miserable wearing it for extended periods. Did a week across the Appalachians once, honestly didn't even notice it. Oh, it also helped me using specific pants. Pants with the Crye cut seem to work better for me, cause everything is just a bit tighter to the body and my pants don't sag at all.

I'm pretty short and not too thick- suspenders are a must for me cause without them either the belt will be too tight or so loose I would snake out of it. Before suspenders I would only wear my holster and pistol mag pouch on my regular rigger belt, but with the BFG suspenders I can put more on the belt and be comfortable. I also learned a lesson with those black nylon pistol belts we got issued for so long- those belts had plastic buckles and a guy's belt buckle had a crack in it- when he moved a certain way the buckle failed and the whole thing fell OFF but was still hanging off his foot by the holster strap. If he had been wearing suspenders, at least he would have still had all his stuff attached to him. Also comfortable in an aircraft to pop that buckle and just let it all ride on the suspenders. My first "war belt" was the belt section cannibalized from a standard issue 1st gen US army MOLLE camo vest, BTW. I always liked the hood safarilands, and I prefer the cop type holster adaptors for the belt- although I did use the drop leg in training just for the speed for evals, then I went to the belt attachment (yes, I cheated Jeff). I always kept my left cargo pocket empty and open for a dump pouch. I kept my PVS14 on my body armor in a padded pouch I found out later was designed to store the ACOG scope. I normally kept 1 pistol mag on my belt and 2 on the chest area of my body armor. I kept my multi tool on my breach bag doing DA missions, for S-O/sneaky type patrolling I had a multi tool in its pouch attached to the sheath of my knife (SRK). I also kept a small surefire on my war belt.

Crye has the MRB which is a inner/outer belt design but with combat in mind, so the luxury of a full size war belt but with the sturdiness of a inner/outer. I know a lot of the new gen SF/MSOC guys wear those. As a civilian, that would be my choice of belt type for SHTF. I feel the Senshi or Vtac Raze style belts are good for flat range or LEO work.

I prefer my a war belt as well. I have been a heat casualty, so I keep two-one quart canteens. So for weight wise, it is more comfortable, plus, I have suspenders as well. The suspenders help when mother nature calls, I don't have to drop my war belt. I'm old school anyways, I used to wear the A.L.I.C.E. gear.

In the end I wanted something I could grab and go on the fly, so I chose a war belt, TRex Orion and have been happy with my choice. I'm admittedly new to tactical gear and the only thing I'm not sure on is if I like the laser cut molle vs standard molle.

Bear Armz offers an economical 3 belt kit. Outer is slick molle. Can use velcro inner through loops, or padded velcro inner (doesn't use pants loops and goes on over everything). For ~$40, hard to beat having all 3 belts and it has cobra "style" buckle.

I rocked my Grey Ghost with suspenders for Urban combat in Iraq but I did not load it up just bangers, frags, stun grenade, and pistol mags. I feel like in heavy daily combat you need suspenders. I was a breacher so I kept my demo sets on it as well and my demo tool pouch due to I only wore a belt no armor when disarming IEDS to keep myself slick no hang ups. I had single strap safariland also and dump pouch Wich I used to hold whatever charge I was about to use on doors and walls. All and a non conductive Leatherman. So I guess I did have ALOT of shit on there. I actually got in alot of fights just wearing belt because I wore it in OPs and disarming. It's crazy I also had a cold steel that saved my life. So alot of similarities to the host. I guess everyone settles on similar stuff in combat over time because it's what works especially the ALS and I used same exact NOD pouch as this man a Blackhawk and I don't even know if that's what it was for. I wish I had kiwi mags but I used a similar style open face retention Blackhawk mag pouch probably knowone remembers but they did it before kiwi with metal insert for retention. My two cents sorry didn't mean to ramble but thats what works this is a great video for those that don't know listen to this man you need to be comfortable as possible.

I also used drop leg holsters for 18 years. Mine were DeSantis and I wore them out / threadbare. Great in chairs or on patrol, jumping in and out of vehicles. I never liked the belt holster; it just grabbed anything and made it hard to move fast / smooth. I agree with the Velcro dislike, it just fails over time and loses grip. Its straps and clips for the long haul and latrine calls. God, forbid you fall in water, but you can get it off, so you do not drown, providing you do not panic first and follow the drill. Find what works for you, my setup / work habitat is not yours, test, test, and drill some more till its right for you.

At 12:50 you can see a bullet hole in the rear of the truck which always tends to happen when doing vehicle drills. I laugh every time I see a friends truck with a bullet hole or two after they get back from training. Typically it's a matter of the optic sitting above the barrel enough to make the shooter believe they have cleared an obstacle.

Being a civilian I went the inexpensive cobbled together amazon route. Used an old police leather belt inside the cheapo three molle war belt and put perfectly good cheapo amazon pouches on it. A two mag 9mm pouch I had sitting around on the right and a glock 26 on the left, being a lefty, in a safariland holster like yours but only attached to the als and just the belt loop hanger so its just below my belt no need for a drop leg. A no brand AR 3 mag pouch in front of that with a flashlight and folding knife in the pistol mag holders on the front of the AR pouch. One AR mag but I can hump 3 if I want to. I notice no ifak on your belts? Put a small amazon no brand ifak with north american rescue kit, tourniquet, scissors n chest wound stuff on the right behind the 9mm mag pouch and a big rolled up drop bag on the back so I can lay flat on my back if I have to. Going to buy a tourniquet holder to put it on my chest as suggested by Tactical Rifleman on youtubez. Actually belt is comfortable as it sits below the body armor and on my hips basically. I put a larger ifak rip away pouch on the back of one of my level IV body armor carriers and another AR 3 mag pouch on the front. Shopping for a good knife, couple more tourniquets and pouches and hope I will never have to use any of it. Sprang for level IV body armor, 10x12 plates, one FRAS set from Safelife and ShotStop Ballistic Body Armor, Duritium IV+HA Multi Curve plates that stop .308 and 30.06. Overkill for the latest stuff but if some idiot is firing an AK in the streets I may actually survive! I also have a concealed level IIIa + vest for when I'm just chauffeuring folks. The way things are going who knows what the globalists have in store for We The People here at home. More methed up woke idiots on the streets with their airsoft toys carrying real ARs.🤡

15:31 inner/outer belt combo is fine for certain applications. My mother was a cop for 27 years and that's how they did it. When my father switched from active SF to 20th group he became a cop and same thing. Of course it was with those belt couplers and not Velcro and I did their same method when I got out and did security work. But actively running around like I'm back in Ramadi? No thanks. I don't like all the weight being on my hips. I'd rather wear a vest or even MOLLE with suspenders instead if I had a choice.
