- For the first time, an Indian TH-camr reaches Kolsai Lake near Almaty, Kazakhstan to explore a natural marvel which is one of it's kind. Kolsai and nearby Kaindy Lake were formed many hundreds of years ago due to an earthquake. Situated in a remote part of Kazakhstan is a beautiful and lesser explored gem. It's totally worth coming to Kazakhstan just for this, but if you can't you have Akshat Discovers The World to see the world without leaving your living room! :)
As an Indian vlogger traveling through Almaty, Kazakhstan I am suggested to visit these lakes by a friend (you will meet him here - • Half Pak-Half Kazakh s... ) and I found a group tour via an agency (Banana Tours) on the suggestion of my host Tim in Almaty (meet him here - • How is Almaty Kazakhst... ). It turned out to be an amazing trip as I met some very interesting and fun loving locals, overcame the language barrier with my broken Russian and their broken English and find a place that is truly heavenly! :)
Come join me on this adventurous day trip as we ride the Soviet era Matador van into dirt roads in Mountains and trek through forests with some newfound friends :)

How much was the cost of this lake and canyon tour? and where did you book it?
Don't remember exactly but not much (pretty cheap) and there are many companies running the tour so you can book once you are in Almaty.
you should always share the information cost, how to book, etc
Can you please confirm your exact dates, month and year of Almaty tour? It seems quite crowded. Since we are planning to visit, we have to work on our dates.
It was late April, early May. Summers are best time to visit Kazakhstan (May to July)

U took Jeep to Kaindy lake? If we take the jeep - there is no need to Hike right?
There will still be a last mile hike. The jeeps don't go upto the actual lake site but only upto a parking nearby.
