I wish I could post pictures on here because I've got my Kazakh flag hanging in my home. I'm basically a nobody from the middle of nowhere in Virginia, USA and learning another language (Russian) gave me wonderful friends and places like Kazakhstan. I sometimes start randomly smiling, thinking about how lucky I've been regarding the places I've been to and the people I've met. Two of my closest friends in the world are from Kazakhstan. Even with all the world's problems, it's a beautiful world and I'm glad to be in it.
Kazakhstan reminds me of our beautiful U.S. southwest where I live. Would love to see Kazakhstan in person, but your video is amazing --thank you for taking us along!
What a beautiful country Kazakhstan is. It's on our bucket list. One day Harriet and i will visit. You have brought this country to so much life in this well-done video. Love you guys' 🥰🥰 Harriet, Jim and Yuki . P.S. Looking forward to so much more.
Kazakhstan is the best and most hospitable country if you show interest in Kazakh native culture. Youth speaks English and very open-minded. Cuisine is mostly meat based as we were nomads and herders in the past. Prices are good and Mountains in Almaty are the best!
What a beautiful country. The 3rd canyon was indeed a mini Grand Canyon. That's one place I think everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. It's like a painting in 3D.
You really do not see such well-made content here on yt, nearly noone does this or not with your passion, respect or extent. Thank you again and be proud of you. Cannot wait for more, take good care, love Kate 🥰
The canyons reminded me a bit of Badlands National Park in South Dakota, US. The river with the trees were most intriguing, I appreciate the background you shared about them! As for the food, after seeing several of your videos involving this dish - I am totally convinced I should seek out Plov! The local food is what I love most about travel, outside of nature.. I'm too introverted to talk much to people, but do enjoy their stories as well when I do engage. As always, well done Matt & Julia!
Hokkaido has a lake similar to this, mesmerizing greenish-turquoise-blue color depending on season and time of day, with trees sticking out of it and surrounded by beautiful forests ♥
Julia and Matt, I recall how deeply painful it was for Julia earlier this year to try to get her head and heart around what was happening in Ukraine. I keep thinking how powerful and meaningful it could be for both of you and this world if you volunteered in a humanitarian program in Ukraine (World Central Kitchen comes to mind because of Julia’s contagious joy with baking). You already have this platform and could use it share with the rest of the world an example of courage, connection and healing steps in the midst. The sincerity and warmth you both exude would be a perfect match for this kind of thing. And many of us would line up to contribute through your channel for restoration of humanity for both Ukraine and Russia.
Beautiful, just beautiful, every stop, every location. It was great seeing you guys back together making yet another amazing video with such incredible videography. Enjoyed this tremendously. 🥰
Such a beautiful area! I love that you guys speak Russian and can do such an affective job of translating the environment around you to the rest of us because of being able to speak the local language.
Thank you very much, really happy to hear that you enjoyed this video! 🤗❤️ (I wish I could speak all the languages in the world…if only I had one wish 😀)

It's such a pleasure to meet other travellers...so interesting 😊No coincidence who you are meant to meet.Amazing world we live in😊💟You always make me smile.
The first video I ever saw of yours was in Romania and you were invited into the home of some locals as you were out on your walk. What incredibly hospitable and kind people! That's what drew me in. That's the travel I love.
Thank you both so much for sharing your lives and travels with us on TH-cam. I appreciate so much that you always respect the people and cultures of the amazing places you visit. Your open and positive way of interacting with others is so beautiful. I think your channel is so popular because people feel we could really be friends with you, as you are so genuine. I have been struck by how many places in Asia have similar counterparts here where I live in North America. Currently I live in Alaska (20 years) but the amazing waters of the lakes in this video are similar to the lakes of Washington State, British Columbia, Yukon Territory, and Alaska. Thank you for taking me to places I would not otherwise visit!

Beautiful video 🥰 Isn't it sad though that with so much beautiful fresh water around in the mountains people have to drink bottled water? 😞 I do hope that with so much footfall they manage to maintain the pristineness whilst I do understand it brings work to the local people 🌲🏞️💦👣🏕️🐎🙏❤️🌍🌱

But after following you guys for about a year now, I would definitely recognize you both! Has that happened yet? Does someone that follows your TH-cam channels ever run into you on one of your adventures? Be well and safe travels! So enjoy watching you both! ❤
Hahahaha, you made me chuckle 😂 We had some people coming up to us yeah, it was very…I don’t know, unusual I guess 😀 (but really sweet! I love when people come up and give us a hug haha). Matt and Julia, this is a truly beautiful place. I only recently found and subscribed to your channel and I love it. I have always wanted to travel and I am doing it through your eyes. When I used to travel. I'd go to Baja California/Mexico. I had friends that lived in Ensenada. I would take friends for their first visits to Mexico. I loved to watch their expressions as we explored. You can ride horses on the beach there. Eat Pacific lobster and eat wonderful dishes prepared by locals. Homemade tortillas and pinto beans with fresh seafood and iced cold cervasa. I miss travelling. The economy has made it impossible right now. I may end up moving to Mexico as Calif. Has become too expensive to retire in. It's become somewhat outrageously corrupt. Anyway, thankyou for sharing. Love your videos as always. Much love to you both!😎🏜❤👍
Kazakhstan is the 10th biggest country in the world. you could spend a lifetime exploring it! Thank you for another interesting and exciting video. it is unlikely I'll ever get to visit but your presentations make it possible for us oldies to see the beauty and variety of such places.

Travelled to Kazakhstan in 1999 and didn't see much bc of a travel agent glitch. Thanks for letting me see so much more than I would have. The bus is the same as the one I rode in Uzbekistan. Things don't change.
The green water is normal for glacial lakes at drier times of the year. I have seen lakes like that in Canada, when they are recieving lots of runoff from the glaciers they turn blue, but later on in the drier months when water flow is reduced they turn greenish like a regular lake.
There is an old adage we have around here. "BE ALERT", we need more LERTS! 😅🤣😂(I give you permission to use that. Another cinematic masterpiece. You two have really outdone yourselves with this one. Besides great scenery( I especially loved the last canyon), you also focused on a big part of travelling..... meeting fellow travelers! If you liked the canyons, come to the USA and travel thru MOAB, Utah area. It will really take your breath away. SAFE TRAVELS! Love you guys ❤💚💜, from Ann Arbor Chris.
Wow! Can we rent a car and do it ourselves? Beautiful scenery! This would be a visit following Uzbekistan! Reminds me of canyons in the south of Namibia when I see your views of the Charyn Canyon park. And, yes, the Grand Canyon in the USA. Still looks pretty darn unique! Thanks for the clip/vlog! Linda in France.
Stunning! Thank you so much! Heart yearning scenery, from the luscious wet and green lake environment to the rugged dry beauty of the canyons 👏❤ Add plov for lunch and it gets even better! How do you know your friend was sleeping on that bumpy ride? Could have been semi-unconscious due to concussion? 😬😂 The many people at the lake probably were their searching for a spot to "rexax" as the green posted sign said... 😉 Cozy guesthouses, I loved the dancing around the open fire. Lots of love! ❤❤
Before you mentioned the earthquake that formed the first lake, I was thinking it was flooded by some action (because of all the dead trees sticking up) All the Scenery and views were amazing and also good choice of music in the video. Well Done... and see you in the next one!
That was amazing beautiful wonderful so many thanks for sharing your adventures giving positive vibes around you in this mad world, really really loved it!!!❤
Incredible content as usual. Incredible natural beauty. But I think my favorite part was Matt doing The Swim and the woman in front of him turning back around. So wholesome and HILARIOUS! I just love you guys. 🤍
Wow it’s so beautiful there! It actually kind of looks like out west here in Canada in the Rocky Mountains. If you never said where you were I never would have guessed that this was in Kazakhstan.
You got to love the Kazakhstan... .hehe the second lake does look like Bohinj Lake in Slovenia, but the trees around does not fit.... they are typical for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan I would say :))) nice job vlogging it though! I still remember that road to the upside down lake though, my taxi driver almost destroyed his car there.... :))))
I must be so spoiled, those lakes and mountains I see all the time here, clear water, pine trees, and very cold waters for "swimming". 🇨🇦 The second lake looks so much like Lake Louise from the colour. Too bad you didn't take a sip of the stream water, it's usually so sweet and clean. Maybe next one. The life there may change from the influx of the Russian refugees, but the geography won't. Don't even try swimming in high mountain lakes without a driver's suit, yes it's that cold. It's a pleasant break watching your channel, videos. Kazakhstan is a multitude of environments, people, ways of living. These videos explain that bett than words ever could. Thank you. 🇨🇦🌹
Wow, sounds amazing, would love to visit Canada one day! The nature in your country is just breathtaking 😍 Thank you so much 😘 really happy to hear you enjoyed this video ❤️
Hi guys!! I watched some of your videos on Kazakhstan, loving them and so now planning to go there this summer.. At Aktau I want to do a Jeep Tour (Mangystau) but can't seem to find any good options for budget travellers. Do you maybe have any suggestions?? Thanks!!!

Wow, that was amazing.
Before you mentioned the earthquake that formed the first lake, I was thinking it was flooded by some action (because of all the dead trees sticking up) All the Scenery and views were amazing and also good choice of music in the video. Well Done... and see you in the next one!
Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed it! 🥰❤️🙌🏼

Incredible content as usual. Incredible natural beauty. But I think my favorite part was Matt doing The Swim and the woman in front of him turning back around. So wholesome and HILARIOUS! I just love you guys. 🤍

Amazing from Houston Texas love yall videos!!
Thank you so much! Sending you lots of love ❤️
Wow it’s so beautiful there! It actually kind of looks like out west here in Canada in the Rocky Mountains. If you never said where you were I never would have guessed that this was in Kazakhstan.
How fascinating!
Bohinj Slovenia (pronounced Bohiny), I remember this video. Nice that you remember my country.
We love Slovenia 😍 miss it! ❤️
Both lakes very good, amazing views
Couldn’t agree more!
Oh yeah, we absolutely love Kazakhstan! Thank you very much 🤗❤️
Gorgeous adventure! Thank you so much for sharing your video ❤
So glad you enjoyed it! 🥰❤️
All I can say is WOW.
Love your videos and all the adventures you two go on. Thanks for sharing,
Thank you so much!! 🥰❤️🙏🏼
I must be so spoiled, those lakes and mountains I see all the time here, clear water, pine trees, and very cold waters for "swimming". 🇨🇦
The second lake looks so much like Lake Louise from the colour.
The nature in your country is just breathtaking 😍

Hi guys!! I watched some of your videos on Kazakhstan, loving them and so now planning to go there this summer.. At Aktau I want to do a Jeep Tour (Mangystau) but can't seem to find any good options for budget travellers. Do you maybe have any suggestions?? Thanks!!!
Really wonderful to see you guys together and back exploring. I feel like I actually know you and hope that one day you come to Canada and we can actually possibly meet. I’ll learn how to make Plov. Lol. ❤
