Excellent video with abundant descriptions of the hikes, phenomenal time lapse photography and helpful info about parking and passes. One of the best videos!
Your video came on this morning after another video about Sedona. Yours was so enjoyable to listen to. It was really relaxing and I loved your voice. I decided to subscribe.
The video was good. I was there earlier in the month. Relative to Devil’s Bridge, I found only about a half dozen people there and they all left right after I got there so I had the place all to myself. I could not believe it since I heard all the stories of it being crowded. I was there in the afternoon. I also noted that there were hardly any cars at the Mescal Trail Head parking.
Beautiful scenery ,very sunny with red rocks and soil . Thanks for the video i needed to see this to forget how cold and grey it's in Toronto right now -12.
Excellent video. We're staying in Sedona for a week next September on vacation from Scotland, I've watched a few videos about the area, this is by far the most comprehensive. We always buy the annual pass before travelling, so it's good to know we can use it at certain locations. 🏴🇺🇲
@@DanTreksbtw, is it possible to put a time stamp on this video? I’m sure I will need to come back to this video many times before my trip but I don’t think I’ll hike all 13 trails! It would be easy to find the specific one I’m looking for! Thank you!!
This is beautiful. My mother visited here with my cousin several times before she passed away. I think she found it very peaceful and I'm glad she got to see it. It's also very close to SLC and my girlfriend and I can visit friends there! 😊
Hey man, I love this video. I am a new concierge in Sedona and this is very helpful! my only suggestion would be to add chapters so the video is easier to navigate.
Thanks! Nicely done. The modern ruins near West Fork trailhead are, by the way, from a hotel that was there in the early 20th century, said to have hosted many of the personnel who came to make movies in Sedona as well as other celebrities, politicians, etc. who came to visit. In that same area, the hiker will pass through remnants of the orchards that were one of the pioneer industries near Sedona. Also, visitors can consider getting the Grand Annual parking pass, which also works at West Fork, Crescent Moon, and Grasshopper Point. It’s only $40 and covers pretty much all the paid areas (except National Park/Monument areas) for a year.
Hi! There's a variety of local tour guides in town, you could start here to check out some: www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g31352-Activities-c42-t235-Sedona_Arizona.html As for going alone, that's completely up to you! Sometime it's fun to travel with friends, other times you need a good solo adventure.
@@DanTreks Really great work. We already know this one took a lot to put together. Thank goodness we still have these real ones and not the "AI robot voice top 10 google image slideshows"
I live here. If you do decide to come, please do the following: - Respect our town as you would respect your own home - Learn how to be courteous while navigating roundabouts - Do not turn left from the right lane - Do not give money to the "homeless" on the corners. They all drive Audis. - Picazzos is the best happy hour; Mariposa is overrated. - Red lights mean stop...not speed up. - Most of all....have fun!
So, I generally stay at the Sedona Summit when in town: www.hilton.com/en/hotels/flgsegv-hilton-vacation-club-sedona-summit/ It's not necessarily the fanciest resort, but it's well-located for some of the more popular trails, and has most of the amenities you'd expect, while generally being reasonably priced--for Sedona at least. If you're looking for something a little more inclusive, you might look into the Enchantment Resort, located at the start of Boynton Canyon: www.enchantmentresort.com/ There are quite a few nice properties in the Sedona area though, so it's a matter of which best suits your needs.
Not every tax paying American recreates on Federal land. Your $5 parking ticket helps transfer that burden to the people who actually use it. It also helps visitors re-think their choice drive vs. shuttle to the trails which already suffer from lack of parking and over tourism. Your taxes overwhelmingly go towards funding stupid wars, not national parks.

One of the best driving views in Sedona is Red Rock Loop. Has views of Gorgeous Valley.

Going to Sedona in April and was wondering if my Military Lifetime pass will work on the trails? thanks for the guide definitely will follow it!!
Yes! That should work--have a great time in Sedona!
Cool
How early do you recommend to go the devils bridge and subway cave? Arrive at 6 am?
6am should be fine depending on the time of year-if you really want the trail to yourself I would plan on arriving right before sunrise!
We are arrving first week of October. Will it still be quite busy? @DanTreks
Bout that time
Is the annual pass the National Parks Annual Pass?
Yep!
When you are referring to "Annual Pass" will a National Parks Senior Lifetime pass work?
Yep!
Is there tour guides?
Is it best to go alone?

To pay for access to federal land is very disheartening. Do we not pay enough in taxes? I hate what the politicians have done to America.

It’s much much cheaper than most public parking in busy city’s public parking garages - which are also public lands although not federal
I kinda sense that you don't like other people.....
😅 nothing against other people at all! But when out hiking, I’m definitely looking for a little more solitude.
