Absolutely amazing how good some of my old Rock heroes from the 60's and 70's can still perform! Rick on the keys, brilliant! Jon Anderson's voice still sounds as beautiful as he did 40 years ago! 😃 RIP to Chris and Alan. 😢
Rick Wakeman... A master musician, a great storyteller with a great sense of humor, and he wears a mean trenchcoat when his capes are at the cleaners! Did I miss anything?
Yes, explain to me how he was able to sneeze, move his left hand up to cover his mouth, and then continue to play like a master without pausing or missing a beat. Is the man from this planet, or did he arrive with the aliens?
Saw this at the Old Vic in Stoke I was the only one he shook hands with after the show ..made my day followed him since i was a teenager ..love this man to bits his work is amazing he even signed my Journey to the Centre of the earth album which had been in my possession since a young lad ..must now go and get that out ..
I saw that tour...twice from the front row of the balcony in Music Hall Cleveland Ohio. That concert has slowly moved up into the best concert I've ever seen!
This man is magic! Saw him several times with YES and, every time, when he remained alone, to make the band rest, he created, with fog and a lot of keyboards, oniric and fantastic atmospheres...he's a master of quality music!
Really like how Rick makes up his own arrangements with his unique signature arpeggio motifs and extemporisations to well-known songs, I'm the same, just need a chord chart and create my own version.
i just bought The Beatles Box set and today played these two tracks .i will say it that the beatles developed chemistry and enably brillant melody in their songs i was only approx 8 to 10 yeaars of age when i heard these wonderful songs but Rick knows how they did it with composition
Close to the edge in a more dental sense... On the music: Clearly, age has given Rick an even deeper understanding of the composition and its soul. I just drifted away while listening... thanks Rick
Im English and, amusingly, to me every word he said made perfect sense. The funniest moment was how he described what he said after just getting the guitar in his gob that knocked out his teeth; that was pure manners piss-take because what he really uttered was a lot of expletives
Beautiful playing Rick. Complex, nuanced and oh, so musical. But funny thing, for While My Guitar - nothing beats Paul's single note intro. Ab...so...lute genius.

Really, the world wouldn't be the same without him!
Absolutely brilliant.

What a true talent in so many ways. The world really needs people like Rick.
Gee, he makes that look easy... .. natural talent abounds..
Such an entertainer. Has been my favourire peanut for 45 years.
Rick plays so beautifully it makes me cry.
BEAUTIFUL!! GOD BLESS RICK WAKEMAN
A standup comedian who can also play piano - he'll go far!
How far can you go he has been there and back he is funny
Lol
Rick is right up there with the greatest pianists ever
He don’t beat Russ Conway 😂
Legendary Musician!! Mr. Rick Wakeman 🏆💯👍😎🔥
Loved the line "The only thing that sounds good on bagpipes is a Sherman Tank". Beautiful piano moments with Rick.
Thank you Rick, for playing While my guitar gently weeps, that's a beautiful tribute to fellow Brit & a fellow musician
John would have loved this. You make my soul smile Mr. Wakeman.
The truth is that Wakeman can take the most mundane piece of music and make it sound like a masterpiece.
The Beatles are hardly mundane!
@@Mozart1220 I never said they were!
These aren’t mundane
Didn't say they were.
Rick Wakeman THE FINGERS. THE MASTER. FOREVER YES!!!🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹

Since I'm fourteen, my first record was "Going for the one ", I love Yes and Rick Wakeman...great

Absolutely marvellous.
The best thing I've heard in years.
Splendid
Came for the piano, stayed for the standup!
Piano genius, and my great hero!
Wonderful arrangements of these Beatle's classics. We love us some Rick.
what a great entertainer... funny and so incredibly talented...
...the finger touch...brilliant.
".....it's not a painkiller but it'll give you something to hold on to" - LMAO!!!!!!
Maestro straordinario. Always the Number One!
I saw him at Arcada in St Charles IL..what a delight and great talent
oh man that's so beautiful! Rick the best.
Super Rick
It kills me that I missed this tour - didn't know about it. These vids are fantastic.

The master playing two of my favorite Beatles tunes superbly. I am humble before you sir.
Love this man. I have the original album when he played with Yes. The album is Yes Fragile. Great music.
He made many more albums than Fragile with Yes !!
That Hollywood Basement....goes so deep.
What a raconteur. Rick was the complete entertainer. RIP.
Why RIP? and "was"?
Fun & music,what else.... maestro
Genius
I didn't realise how funny Rick is
Just adds to his repertoire of talants
Stunning arrangements. Thanks for posting.
Let only music caress your hearts fans & never let any evil dare to harm you guys
I love this man. Can’t understand a word he’s saying though.
Totally agree. He's the man but the sound quality w/ his Brit accent "turns mee ears quite right upside down, then!"
The mic on the guy's camera wasn't up to the task.
Im English and, amusingly, to me every word he said made perfect sense. The funniest moment was how he described what he said after just getting the guitar in his gob that knocked out his teeth; that was pure manners piss-take because what he really uttered was a lot of expletives
If you're British you shouldn't have a problem.
I would love to have it on an album!

@@gregkruszewski3361 • Thanks, Greg!
If you love his standup comedy routine.....Ya'll should crack open one of his books. Some of the best stories you'll ever read!
Esse realmente é um grande, grande músico!
GÊNIO!!!!!
I fucking love Rick Wakeman!
Great jazz piano!
Beautiful playing Rick. Complex, nuanced and oh, so musical.

Could listen to Rick all day long...Viagra 😂
I love Wakeman's playing on Bowie's Hunky Dory.
That sounds so rude 😱
His 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' is his Opus Magnum.
Beautiful Rick! Useless to say, these are two brilliant compositions.
How can one categorize such a man?
So this overweight geezer with long hair and badly fitting clothes, sits down at the piano and magic fingers appear and beautiful music ensues.
IOWA DAD JOKE of the day

Am I tripping, or suddenly sound and image get "unsyncronised" because an unpredictable cut of the camera??? Great piece...
>50%@intro=talkedT00much,sorry&thanks4theWonderful interpretations afterwards❤
❤❤👌👌
If you're British you won't have a problem. If you're American you'll have a problem with any accent if vowels aren't pronounced the same.
He is about as good at talking as he is at playing. lol
Rick Wakeman, or Tommy Cooper ?
this could have done without the 4.5 min monologue
I prefer when he tells anecdotes...
Too many notes.
Just the right number of notes, but not necessarily in the right order!
You beat me to it.
Same old cliché All melodies sound the same. No fantasy at all. Abyss between KE and RW.
Even JL played with more creativity.
Ah, go boil yer head, ya wanker.
Oleg, I agree with you in part.
What language is he speaking?
He is speaking so fast.
I can hardly make out a word he is saying.
STICK TO THE MUSIC MATE.
