    The majority of low scale chargers will
    Tell you a general IR but I have had 2s Lipos read 50 IR and they worked perfect. I love your testing and real life
    Test. Thanks

      For sure they will and for those that want to try a more manual way to determine IR, this is how you can do it. Thank You for the comment, Merry Christmas!

    Canada striking now dang that's crazy tells you how much I follow the news

      I only found out about the strike because of my aus post app
      Other then that I would of been in the dark 😂

      I would not expect anyone outside of Canada to know about the strike or better yet, care. Had to phone people this year to wish them Merry Christmas as the cards will either be later or no show.

    Cool video. Neat meter. I dont have an O scope but not sure if id actually ever need it. I have several fluke multi meters for work which gets the jobs done on the hobby side

    Measuring IR is important after lipo has settled, about 5 minutes after a charge. It's also critical Measuring it during a actual charge. Dividing for a average does not beat measuring actual individual cell IR. i charger is a great investment. Good video as always.

    Thank you for this great video! My ancient team Orion duo has an IR reading but I’ve always wondered how accurate it is. More I know how I can do my own checks! Very cool and makes a lot of sense. I dunno why I’ve never thought of this before?
    What are your thoughts, if any, on the newer Hitec RDX2 1000 charger when paired with the AD380 discharger analyzer?

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      My preference is to focus on consistency over accuracy. As far as the charger, it looks pretty good! I'm not sure I've seen exactly what the discharger analyzer is.

    Recently I purchased four lipo batteries and one particular cell was lower from the other cells by 0.2v so I tried to charge it separately and not as a 4s to increase the voltage from 3.98v to 4.2v and I managed to do it safely, although it took me some time because I charged at very low amps.
    Something that I noticed that while I was charging that cell the voltage went up slowly to 4.05v because it had very high resistance of 66 mOhms, but when tried to balance another cell of another similar battery that had the resistance of 1 mOhm, the voltage went up to 4.18v quickly although when I switched it off and tested the voltage again it was still 3.83v.

    Question....Would a device that displays the temperatures of a RC battery, ESC and motor in led lights be something of interest....like green, yellow and red for temps?

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm not sure. It depends on where it would be displayed. My preference is that it speaks to my transmitter.

    • @captjohnny
      @captjohnny 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@RCexplained The transmitter part mainly depends on the manufacturer if they want to (or can) take the data from the temp device.....but standby, the led only version is coming soon.

    Great video, however this for me is not necessary, extra purchase, I already have a good multimeter. My vote goes to... FANCY CHARGER 💖

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's fair. The true point of the video is exactly that. You can check IR with that multimeter around the house. You do not need a multimeter that measures and graphs waves. I'm simply bringing brand awareness for those that may want this as it's really cool and we are going to see what it can do soon! My fancy charger can't graph frequencies but it does graph voltage as you can see.

    For the price of this multi meter you can get 2 chargers with IR readouts. Standard b6 Neo or equivalent will do that perfectly.
    I respect what you do with the battery tests but this is crappy product placement add that doesn't make much sense

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      Merry Christmas! You can get all the chargers you want it still won't do what a multimeter of this caliber can. Either way, I'm sure you have a Multimeter that can measure voltage. This is a basic function that is shown in this video. We will get to the more fun stuff this multimeter can do soon!

  • @jozimoto
    @jozimoto 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Merry Christmas. I didn't realize measuring voltage was in the "fancy" category. All multimeters can measure voltage, this is actually basic functionality. We will get to the more fun stuff in a later video, I'm excited to see what it can do!
