@_-noxxon-_no, he meant that the value never changes. Speaks volumes that the manufacturer decided to spend money on something flashy but useless rather than useful things, like safety capacitors or better transformers. Pure junk, imo
you know a product is going to be "good" when even the printed text have typos like: 0:41 AD/DC 1:01 not helping that it only accepts DC 110-240V instead of AC. I thought about it someday and maybe those common mistakes were generated because they OCR'd it from another product. Low quality OCR tends to replace near characters like "cl" as "d" and more.
@@OneTheAndOnlyOne You think the assembly line that made these also spits out ones that work correctly, have "caution: indoor use only" spelled correctly and actually contain the circuitry required to make QC3.0 happen? These are not rejects, they are fake products designed to be fake.
@andreasu.3546 yes many are rejects and "repacket"/modified after rejection. Yes also counterfeit but many are rejects and modified. The (clean without text) housings are bought separately. 3:57 For anyone who missed it, this thing can't even do 500 mA on all four ports. Pretty much anything you charge from a brick uses that much, so I don't think there's really any situation where you can use all four ports here.
You can charge 4 devices with summary power demand below 1.8A. Though I certainly not recommend to charge or power something through these bricks ever if you want to keep your devices in working condition.

One wonders whether it's even worth all the effort it takes to fake this stuff; at some point it's easier and cheaper to just use the right component. The fake voltmeter isn't dangerous, but it takes the cake for stupidity in this one; while cheaper than a real voltmeter, it still took cost and effort to build and include the fake one. That component's entire supply chain is just dumb.

I’m sure he got one. But if IEC were, say, to file a copyright claim for showing the standard in the video, you’ll pay for his lawyer’s time to fight that takedown right?
Interesting to see that even the worst are getting better. 10 years ago for the same price you'd probably get sub-mm isolation distances, absolutely no insulation tape between the primary and secondary on the transformer, barely 500mA output, and maybe a squiggly PCB track as a fuse instead of a fusible resistor.
The slightly better isolation is probably just a byproduct of the whole thing being bigger... And the tiny 500mA chargers were cheaper, about 1-2 usd, these probably were closer to 3 usd.
Thanks once again Diode. I had an idea that these were no good - if it says quick charge on it, but can't actually quick charge, then it's going to be poor quality inside...
Based on the weight and the poor English I would expect them to be poor quality, but it's so nice to see the technical arguments behind such a claim. Great video! 😁

Daaaa, rookie mistake you always need to use a safety isolation transformer (230V in - 230V out 50 Hz) in combination with this chargers, otherwise you can be electrocuted when charging your phone, lol, 😂😂😂😂😂! Nice video as always 👍👍👍👍
I have a very similar charger with the inscription SOONHUA, 3x USB with LED display, but mine works properly and measures both voltage and current. The display is turned off even after connecting to a power outlet, and it only turns on after the current consumption increases. First it displays the voltage, then the current and again the voltage about 3 times in a row and then switches back to measuring the current, and it displays it for the entire time the device is charging. If the current consumption decreases after charging is complete, the display turns off again. I have had it for about 7-8 years, so apparently the saving version like in the video was not yet introduced into production. But the display is physically larger and is rotated 90° and is readable in a horizontal position. It does not overheat when charging and drawing about 2A of current. Apologize for Google translator.
These sometimes appear even in European junk shops. Though real source are Chinese copycat bottom of barrel and places like Wish. The price is always the first red flag and visibly unreal parametrs - the second.

The CE marking is bogus - but easy to print on any garbage that they feel like putting into commerce. The absence of enforcement by the EU makes it meaningless.
I keep them for parts if I needed to quickly test something, but I don't trust them to be used in something that is supposed to work reliably for years.
