There are probably a couple of reasons. Timing is perhaps the main one - his first tour was right at the start of his career (he'd played two test matches) and he was sort of the fourth seamer. Then didn't visit again until 95 by which time he'd had his injuries and wasn't quite the force he'd been in the period in between. Beyond that as he bowled fuller than most fast bowlers and picked up more of his wickets bowled and lbw than almost anyone else it might be reasonable to think he wouldn't have been as well suited to Australia as other fast bowlers anyway.
@@damienflemingsbowlologyrep8944 He was certainly something to behold in the early 90s. As a low level club cricketer who has never been able to cope with an inswinging yorker there was certainly some pleasure to be had from watching the pros getting their stumps splattered or copping it on the boot repeatedly at the highest level! You guys must have feared for your feet at times.
Steyn - gun. Approve. Ticker out the wazoo. Should be higher. Bish? Surprising choice for me, but that’s why you’re the bowlologist and I’m a second grade potato. Dev, hard agree. Underrated all rounder as well. Alderman vibes. Garner - just yup. Looked like he was bowling a pea. Wasi Akrim - stretch Anderson who bowled with the wrong arm. Understood red ball black magic. Ripper list Damo.
If Imran could have bowled in the 1983/84 he would no doubt be top 5. He had stress fractures of his shins and played last 2 tests as a batsman and scored runs
@damienflemingsbowlologyrep8944 great fan of you damien you replied my comment last over twice in world cups 96 99 semis final over aus won what pressure you obsorbed australia winning. I support aus even champions trophy they will win kangaroos born to win
Bishop ,not much talked about as a visting pacer to Aus.,creating problems for home batters.
Good selection purely based on stats👏👏
great picks.. put lot of thought into it
Flemmo saw you promoting your TH-cam channel on the commentary for the big bash
Akram's bowling to Steve Waugh in the 89/90 series was probably the best sustained bowling I've seen.
Agree Wasim in that 1989/90 was insane . We hadn’t seen reverses swing that consistent through a series here in OZ
Cant argue with the picks. Great picks.
Excellent list of fast bowler's. Sir pls do make video on best 100s scored under pressure by a touring batter's in Australia.
nice glasses mate where did you get those
I have always wondered why Waqar Younis was average in Australia despite the helpful pitches.

Some good thoughts on Waqar there. At his peak almost unplayable . Faced him in 1989 easily fastest bowler i had faced up until then

Hard disagree with Dev, especially when he's got him ahead of Roberts.
❤️❤️
I think Fichard Hadlee should feature somewhere in Top 10, along with Crutly Ambrose
Hadlee is no.2 check his list first
@@superduper175 And that is a disgrace.
hey flemo
Sharma Joseph
Believe me ,in my opinion Steyn is better than McGrath.
I disagree
Imtan khan was the best
