You could always try Talkin Tarn for pike and perch. It is only a couple of miles from New Mills. I'm at the Tarn most Sundays so would be good to share a few tips.

One of my customers that I garden for owns a Trout farm down in Wiltshire and I'm hoping one day he might invite me out for a fly fishing trip. I'm also in his band called "The Emergers" which I'm told is a type of fly/ nymph?
From the looks of it you have mostly dancers and damsel lures. They are great for rainbows, and can even take the fly rod with those lures to the canal for pike/perch. For wild river trout you'll want some good dries and nymphs. Keep the vids coming guys, great stuff
Never been to a trout farm, never actually caught a trout in general. Is there many fisheries for them that you don’t have to keep what you catch? Only seen trout farms that you have to keep every catch.
for some reason I am exited at the fact that I am seeing someone with 20K+ subscribers fish at somewhere I've been aha (edit) never mind, this is another place to the one I have been to, as there is a newmill trout fishery in Lanark, Scotland. lol
It's easier to play the fish if you always keep the line between 2 fingers in the right hand and the rod, and strip the line in , instead of holding the line in one hand and the rod in the other cracking fish tho 👍
thought it was newmills trout fishery in Lanark scotland until i noticed it was clean , tidy and the fish look edible and fit unlike the zombie trout in newmills lanark , they are so tired and desperate for relief from their sad lives they sometimes just beach themselves in a suicidal bid for freedom as you walk past. the only place i have been to where the fish are so overstocked you could use a net and get your limit in a few min , no rod needed . this newmills is what the scottish one wishes it was

You guys are just inches away from real flyfishing for pike 😆jigfly was so effective I saw on your vids, so why don`t you try the real pike flies? A nice 9wt or 10wt rod, big 25-30-40cm flies. They just work well like jerkbaits and swimbaits, shads do. Check the Fly TV on youtube, the pike episodes with Niklaus Bauer are very cool. His flies are dope too. I fly fish and lure fish as well. If you’ve both got a 5 weight a piece you’ll be fine .. 9ft tapered leader to a 3lb point and you’ll be good 👍👍 dominic garnett is a good one to look at for that stuff .. I used to do loads of coarse fishing and then switched to fly a while back … I wouldn’t go back to bait now 🤣 It’s infuriating sometimes ( most of the time 😊) but when you get it right … dude !!!!😱😱😱 Carp on a fly rod is ridiculous … keep going with the fly rod , trust me bro 🤘🤘
