Local on the 8's: 12-17-11

We will experience the coldest air of the season tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 30's. Two recordings in this one. I'm not in the Christmas spirit at all. I'm pretty sure it's because of the lack of snow. It hasn't snowed here since October. To me, snow amazes me. Having a lack if it makes it boring. The reason why I'm bringing this up is because last year, it snowed almost everyday, not accumulating, but it got me into the Christmas spirit, not only that but the post-Christmas blizzard. Signs of snowy winter are growing ever so slightly but with AO and NAO values still positive, it makes it relatively warm. Long term forecast show the NAO and AO dropping to negative. Also numerous model runs have been showing a possible snowstorm during the period of Dec. 26 - Jan. 1. If this storm happens. Accumulations would be from 2-8".
