I saw some of the earlier strategies and was dreading even giving them a try, but by the time I got around to being reaper-ready, these new evolutions showed up and I got my kill!
I followed your older guide, but kept dying around 27 mins so I decided to say F it and just did the same start but leveled up anyways, went to the same place and got the reaper stuck. I also used Shroud, finally unlocked him!
If you want to get more levels, get more curse, wicked season arcana in particular. And Crimson shroud is massively better than infinite corridor for this, to do it with corridor only you need to keep him frozen so he doesnt splat you.
For me corridor killed him fairly quickly due to it splitting his hp and with full empty tome it popped off every 5 seconds. I put myself in the corner with a table in library, and only 2 reapers showed up until dead.
Thanks for this. What's missing though is that you either have to last 31 minutes and survive the reaper for a minute or kill the reaper to unlock the arcana that attracts all items in the map to you. So a strategy to either get there or an example of a good map on which to walk and gather the stuff by walking while killing enough and leveling would be very appreciated.
I did this easily with the Whip, Hollow Heart, Vento Sacro, a strong aoe weapon like Holy Book, Candelabrador, Bracer, Empty Tome and the rest is whatever you prefer to use. To unlock Vento Sacro you need to have reached Stage 5 Capella Magna and find the coffin with Zi'Assunta Balpaese, then like the rest of the characters just use them and survive to unlock their weapon.
@@evilloki85 thanks. The complexity is the travel time across the stage while managing waves. I suggest hurry mode on a stage where it doesn't increase enemy health.

Your priority should be evolving the whip and vecto sancro in the run early, you can just focus on getting those two weapons and hollow heart and try as much as possible to not get anything else to speed up leveling them. Another thing that can help is getting the Arcana Mad Groove, you aquire this by reaching the 31 minute mark in the Mad Forest stage. To do this you can do the same build i mentioned before and just add the Clock Lancet and Laurel. Also remember that when you combine the Whip with the Vecto Sancro you free up a weapon slot which makes it a solid option for runs.

I feel like recommending to get mad groove is essentially saying: "to kill Death easily, you must kill Death and get Mad Groove"
@@nixquev not really. I got Mad Groove way before killing death. Basicaly Clock Lancet, Empty Tome for the cooldown and Bracer for projectile speed will help you out greatly in surviving until the 31 minute mark. Give it a try.
I killed the reaper guideless, but I had around 5 on the screen by the end, I only had the laurel evolved, and I only survived because the 'pull' arcana kept bringing chickens/clocks to me. You made it look way easier 😭 Admittedly, I only skimmed through this video.
i can confirm this is the best and most reliable and consistent way to do it, yes, it has some pre-requisites of unlocks you have to get first but it's honestly better than the nightmare of the "old school" way of doing it which involved you going AFK for 30 minutes in a very specific spot just to be able to attempt it, if you messed it up you had to wait for another 30 minutes in another run. Just do this method shown in the video and ignore all the old videos about it as they are severely outdated, if you don't have the required unlocks, just go get those first , the other method is really not worth your time, there's other ways to do it but for those you need even more unlocks most likely.
I think I found the answer: I need Mad Groove unlocked, and I just got this Mad Groove Arcana by surviving Mad Forest up to 31 minutes. Just survive one minute after the Reaper shows up.
Thanks to this, had a bit of trouble collecting the rings and the metaglios as they were on opposite sides compared to yours which they were all on the same area. On hyper mode I had to get the ones on the right by the 12 minute mark and get the ones on the left side by the 25 minute mark and save some chests to upgrade them.
yoo i thank youu i was literally about to quit until i saw your comment, i was having the same problem on my second try i got the left one and everything maxed out on 25 minutes all that was left was to get the rest metaglios and ring and max it out also, didnt work. But i after i saw this i went and choosed genaro and did this 12 minute 25 minute method and worked
Does anyone else have issues actually *getting* to the Rings and Metaglios? I need to have upgraded wings to even have a chance at reaching everything with how spread out they are. Upgrading everything before the 30-minute mark also seems undoable by the time I've collected everything.
I managed to defeat The Reaper early with a combination of La Borra, Magic Wand, and Laurel. Seems like if you enough damage sources Reaper is stun locked for a few seconds, long enough to recharge Laurel. Reaper will attack you, Laurel procs, but then will stop again.
Yeah, I figured I could kill him using this method, I'm pretty sure the dev added this just to make killing the reaper more acessible for the general audience. I'm thankful because other methods were either way too dependant on rng, or I'd need to play very specifically, wasn't very fun. I did it btw, the second reaper appeared but he just died too XD
Can confirm this still works as of today. Used Gallo on Library with max curse, hyper/hurry/arcana on. Had max laurel, lancet, infinite corridor, crimson shroud, king bible, bone, santa water and some other stuff. Awake arcana saved me multiple times at the start.

how did he get those rings & left n right mark in just 14 mins? ( how did those items teleport near him? ) while it took me to get 1 ring almost 29 mins already! ( been walking straight to the ring like forever! ) Please help
For some reason if you play as the random and survive the 30 mins death kills you you revive he can't kill you .. but upon quiting the game nothing counts like surviving for 31 minutes. I did discover on gallo tower if you go into secret room where coffin is when death appears he doesn't follow you I. The room.
You can get the arcana the scales with missing health for infinite damage, the name for the random character has to start with "mi" this name will scale the health to infinity. This is the best way to kill the reaper
sorry but i think the bit at the end about killing multiple reapers doesn't happen anymore. tried it after about 60 seconds in the grey death showed up. no lancet or laurel on 1.0. i think they dont want people to farm eggs by killing reapers anymore edit i was playing the low cdr penta girl at the church not sure if it was a bug

I have unlocked the yellow sign, but I have not been on/finished moongolow with any characters so I dont know what's going on. But my unlocks has it as complete

Play the level first with a "standard" character (not a secret character). I'm not sure why the first time has to be cleared by one but I think this is what's happening.
The biggest coincidence I had. Yesterday I've unlocked stage items and limit break so I've spent some time on wiki and figuring out what new build I can tinker with and you upload this video. I came up with this: Song of Mana - Skull Bible - Spellbinder Pentagram - Crown Santa Water - Attactorb Laurel - Stage item Lancet - Stage item Then you just boost the damage with Torrona's Box and Spinach. I've managed to survive 31 mins on most of the stages. The biggest issue I have is The Bone Zone due to the insane amount of curse that is being stacked on with this build. But, I've been closer and closer to it. Song of Mana is the new garlic once you unlock it. It's just better imho. You combine it with XXI arcana just like garlic and you're pretty much set for the game. Whole build has the synergy with the XXI arcana which lets you just stand in place and farm exp with the Gorgeous Moon. You can either start with the VIII - Mad Groove so you do not have to worry about running around and movement speed or with the XXI and then save all your re-rolls for the arcana chest to make sure you get it. I've noticed that you can easily ditch Bible for anything else but I just really enjoy it's effect. Magic Wand worked almost the same due to the knock-back effect but there is no projectile speed in this build (unless you have bracelet as stage item) so it's kinda slow. About pentagram. I've seen that most of the community disregards it as a trash item buuuut it's really helpful. You can rush the leveling as hard as you can to mitigate the issue with it destroying chests and exp and after evolution it becomes one of the best items imho. The screen clear alongside with possibility to kill things like the water reaper in the Cappella Magna is insane. Santa Water. This item. I believe that you can get Santa Water, Lancet and Laurel as 3 weapons and you would be able to demolish everything in this game. I don't know, La Borra is just bonkers with the damage. And the XXI arcana will create zones from all three of these weapons. I really like to start the game with Poppea because you have the Song of Mana from the start but you can pull it off on any character really. With this build one should be able to complete any stage, kill red reaper, unlock any achievement left and have a lot of fun while his screen flashes like Christmas tree. Once I unlock endless mode I will give it a spin there. I feel like it's gonna be fun. Great video and thank you for your content! So after watching this video I got very lucky using random and at the 30min mark it’s health is all the way up to 37,465,260,000,000,000,000,000,000 and yes I have video proof and no I didn’t hack because I’m doing this all on Xbox

To be honest I should just do my own guide since I did this without any trouble at all. I didn't follow any of these methods. I think you are all over thinking this. All you really need is to avoid the worst of his attacks and by just moving down and side to side the whole time. It takes a bit of time but then its done and was actually pretty easy.
Hmmm...just tried on inverse library (maybe that's the problem) with shroud and regular lancet and it didn't work. Took him awhile to kill me, long enough that 3 more reapers showed up, but I wasn't able to kill him either.
That’s cheating for using Mad Groove. What’s the point of this guide when everyone can’t even last 31 minutes in a map to unlock Mad Groove. If you don’t use Mad Groove, you wouldn’t had to take your own sweet to slowly farm up.

I did it with neither evolved. Lancet kept him frozen. I liked 7 of them and got no credit for it. 😕

Very helpful I was able to unlock infinite corridor and max lvl but unevolved laurel together and I was able to kill 2 reapers before dying.

Picked up items bypass 6 passive item limit, my suggestion is pick your 6 favorites passive items that different from available picked items first

Go into a level with endless / inverse. Leave the level immediately. Then, go back to the last secret boss level and you will get the other relic.

To be honest I should just do my own guide since I did this without any trouble at all. I didn't follow any of these methods. I think you are all over thinking this. All you really need is to avoid the worst of his attacks and by just moving down and side to side the whole time. It takes a bit of time but then its done and was actually pretty easy.
Hmmm...just tried on inverse library (maybe that's the problem) with shroud and regular lancet and it didn't work. Took him awhile to kill me, long enough that 3 more reapers showed up, but I wasn't able to kill him either.
Yeah, you need the evolved lancet to reduce the reapers health.
I have killed the reaper without lancet at all, but I was using queen sigma.

Just use -100% CDR missingno and you can survive infinitely with Laurel
That’s cheating for using Mad Groove. What’s the point of this guide when everyone can’t even last 31 minutes in a map to unlock Mad Groove. If you don’t use Mad Groove, you wouldn’t had to take your own sweet to slowly farm up.
