Plus I had a lot of people message me and ask me about which powder would be best for their skin type and lifestyle. Hopefully this will clear up a lot of questions. I hope you guys enjoy! xoxo

Whats the name of the pressed version of the loose translucent powder? I just came across this video and I love how you explain everything I was instore trying to get my first chanel powder but none of the counter representatives made me feel like I was chosing the right one

When can you or will you do a video on choosing the right blush shades? Can different skin tones to different shades? On a whim I purchased the bright orange 'so close' and love it. Hi from Malaysia ! Love your videos! I'm just embarking on my Chanel journey. I just got the Lightening BEAUTY PREMIERES FLEURS DE CHANEL and blush duo tweed effect. The Less Blanc UV Protection Whitening Loose Powder SPF 50, what are your thoughts about it? I have oily skin and Malaysia is a hot humid tropical country and I work in an environment with air conditioner .
I have used Guerlain and By Terry loose powder . Their OK but they don't contain spf.

Hi there, I have the Vitalumiere powder foundation that I bought a few years ago. I have combination skin and finding its a bit drying. Could I mix it with moisturizer? TIA! Love your videos!
I would definitely recommend prepping your skin with extra moisture before going in with the powder! The better your skin is prepped, the better your makeup application!

Hello! I was looking for the les beiges powder as a touch up compact and the SA let me try the Luminous Powder in Light, which looked ok at the boutique so I purchased it. However, I found that it looked a little dark when I reached home and realised that it's a bronzer/highlighter... should I exchange the powder for the regular les beiges range? I hadn't realised there was a luminous/ glow range before :S
Hi! Honestly if you're looking for a touch up compact, I would go ahead and exchange it for the regular Les Beiges powder. It's meant more for setting and touching up. The other luminous powder is more for giving your skin a luminous finish! It wouldn't necessarily do the best job retouching your makeup throughout the day :) hope this helps!

Thank you for the great question and thank you so much for your support! I'm so glad you're enjoying the content :) Unfortunately, the Vitalumiere Compact Douceur isn't sold in the United States so I don't have much exposure to it. But from what I remember reading, that compact is very hydrating and very finely milled with a more full coverage finish. It would be great for all skin types but specifically wonderful for dryer skin that want more of a luminous finish. Since it's high in pigment I don't recommend it for touching up unless you're using a brush. Hope this was helpful!

I live in Hong Kong and here I was suggest to buy it recently but by pure luck I watched this video and based on your explanation I found out Le Teint Ultra Tenue will be the right one for me :).
Here they also have Le Blanc whitening compact foundation, the description sounds good but I don't know...

hi love your video. After an experience with one of macs powders (set and prime) i am very conscious about what powder to buy. i experienced bad flashback in photos and would like to avoid it. I have heard great things about chanels powders and was hoping you could direct me towards one. Is there any flashback in any of these powder? im looking for a setting powder, i have normal skin and very fair. thank you for your time
Hey hon! I would recommend either the Les beiges or the translucent setting powder for you! The Les beiges has very little SPF so it doesn't give flashback, but the translucent powder has no SPF so it doesn't provide any flashback. Ive worn all the other ones at night just to make sure lol I'm very conscious about night flash.

Hi! I love the Vitalumiere loose powder! The formula is incredible, smells beautiful & has a cute kabuki brush. But I’m so disappointed I got matched the wrong shade ☹️ it was my first time in the store, and my first Chanel makeup, they just opened their first boutique in New Zealand recently. It’s in the shade 20 which looked like it matched on the back of my hand but it was too light on my face, didn’t oxidise (wish it did lol). I even bought the rose brightening primer that was recommended for me and I was white as a ghost with that combo! Then I booked a makeover with liquid foundation because I like Chanel so much, want to give it a chance, but end result was too dark for me 😩
I’m southeast Asian so I’m medium toned - not even sure if I’m warm or cool but I do have both medium warm and medium cool foundations in other brands! I ended up buying a Chanel compact foundation with the pretty halfmoon brush in shade 30 and I mix those 2 Chanel foundations together, which works, but it takes so long to get the right “customised” shade for me. Would they provide samples for powder foundation? I’ve been given samples for liquid foundation which I didn’t like given that some have oxidised way too dark, and the formula aren’t compatible with my skin, I prefer powders. I’ll keep looking for my perfect Chanel shade!
I wish I could effectively color match you in person! I would recommend either the Les Beiges powder for you or the translucent powder. Both are extremely forgiving and that way you would't have to worry too much about any oxidation.

Just found your channel and instantly subscribed! I’m planning to buy my first channel powder and eyeing for Les Beiges for as bronzer over a tinted moisturizer. I’m asian with yellow undertone (NC35 in MAC and Natural in Bobbi Brown) please recommend a Les Beiges powder for me. Thanks a lot!
I would say that the shade 20 would fit you just fine! If not then a 30. Both shades are pretty forgiving!

I'm so glad you found this helpful! And don't worry about the questions lol I'm more than happy to answer them! In my experience, I've never had an issue with Chanel foundations oxidizing on me. I wear at 20 Beige as well in all of Chanel's foundations and powders and have never experienced any issues with them oxidizing on me, even though I'm extremely oily. I would suggest that you ask the beauty advisor to try both the 20 Beige and the 12 Beige Rose on you so you can see the difference, and then wait a few minutes to see any color change. I would also recommend you ask for a sample of both foundations to take home with you so you can wear them for several hours to see if you experience any change. But I have a feeling the 20 Beige is going to work perfectly for you :) If you want a little more pinkness or brightness to your skin, you can always layer the Le Blanc Rosee Primer underneath your foundation :) I hope you found this helpful!

Unfortunately in the United States, we don't carry the Perfection Lumiere Extreme :( I'm not sure if the shade range corresponds directly, but I use 20 Beige for everything if that gives you a reference?

Yes! It can be used directly on the skin in place of foundation. However, it’s not going to give you a lot of coverage. It’s very sheer.
