I had a conversation with someone a few years ago when she thought calvinists always were wondering "if" we are elect. She could not get over this problem that she thought we had since in her mind if we are elect then no matter what we do we will be saved, a view that is simply fatalism. I told her that it is stupid to ask that question and nobody should ask that question. It is quickly obvious that so many have a backwards view of what the Bible teaches on election.
I posted a true/false quiz on my blog several years ago. One of the questions was "All of the elect will be saved no matter what they do." Of course, the answer was false because of the "NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO." clause.
