Oooo a minimatic! I have never used one of these but keep looking at them on Trade-Me, and putting one on my watch list. I have a 1953 Bernina 502 and would love to see a review of the minimatic - maybe next to a classic machine like a singer or Elna?

Hello. I'm a fan of those vintage mechanical Bernina machines myself. It started with a Record 530, but I currently also own a 830 Record and a 700, as well as a very old Bernina 121. I have always wondered what the differences are between a 700 and a 707 Minimatic. The only two differences between the machine in this video and my 700 would be the location of the zigzag and needle position dials., as well as the way the motor is attached to the machine and drives the belt (700 has a V-belt). Is there any less apparent difference, like strenght of the motor? It comes down to the meaning of the word Minimatic. What makes a 700-series machine a Minimatic? Maybe you could enlighten me?

Hello. I have seen in one of your videos that you use magnifying glasses with light. Some with a black shell. Do they work well to work with sewing machines? Thank you

Hi I have my mum's bernia 730 record. How can I clean the feet to make them shinny and new?

Just wondering if you have come across a Bernina 730 where the buttonhole knob won't pull down, i guess some heat and oil will eventually loosen it up, thanks for your videos.

Hi. How do I fix a pressure bar that won’t go down properly . It goes in slow motion and doesn’t seal tightly at the bottom . Thx

Hi. Lubricate the shaft at the upper and lower bearings. Thanks.
