You do not need to replace the M2 WIFI to fit an M2 SSD - there's an M2 SSD slot on this motherboard already (it's labelled JSSD) - the M2 SSD fits over the top of the two ribbon cables coming from the back of the HDD/SSD board - you can even see the retention screw HP have left in the motherboard ready for the M2 SSD to be fitted.

It is not too many times I am able to give someone a thumbs up on a video, but this is one I was happy to. I was able to successfully dismantle the HP 15-bs134wm and boy was I glad. I had seen this laptop with two memory banks but my particular laptop has only one memory bank. I have worked on dozens of laptops and this is the first one I have seen with only one memory bank.
It's crazy how the HP manual itself states that model 15-BS212WM RAM cannot be upgraded, but clearly it can. Thanks to this video, I upgraded mine from 4gb to 8gb without any complications using Crucial 8GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) DR x8 SODIMM 260-Pin Memory - CT8G4SFD824A. My laptop operates much faster now. THANKS!!!
Guys don't take this too easy as this guy said, the method is right but it is not so easy specially if you're a beginner I barely saved my lappy when I tried this! So do at your own risk.
Nice video to upgrade the components. Thanks for sharing. One minor correction. M.2 slot mentioned in the video is in incorrect location. It is actually placed beside the hard drive. Kindly correct it if possible.

HP make it so much harder to replace a HDD or Ram, my old lenovo was so much easier, underneath there was a flap you opened by removing 1 screw to get access to the HDD or the Ram, could literally replace a HDD or the Ram in under 1min
Thanks! I usually don't look for screws under feet or labels on laptops (but definitely do on smaller electronics). Definitely an explicit anti-consumer feature on HP's part.
Thanks for excellent video, could not work out where the screws were hidden under the feet. Why they couldnt make a small panel with one screw or two with a small flap giving access to the hdd and ram slots. HP makes servicing costs very high with the ridiculous method of having to dismantle the whole laptop to get access to these items!
Nice video. Short but enough. I have a 15-BS series laptop and can't remove one of the screws. It's the one close to right hinge. It's just spinning but neither tighten nor remove. Is it safe to remove the cover while that screw in place?
I saw this other video on how to open a hp bs series laptop and they never mentioned that you have to remove the dvd drive and I almost broke my laptop in half trying to pull apart the back cover because I was pulling with the dvd drive still attached. Luckily I managed to have the dvd drive get loosenend from all the pulling and release itself. But fuck, man. That other guy was awful. You're wayyyyy better. Thank you so much.
Hi, How are you, my laptop is HP 15 bs675tx, which has basically Intel(R) Core (TM) i3-7020U CPU, 2.30 GHz, 4 GB samsung 2400Mhz Ram in 1 slot other is empty, Radeon 2 GB graphics & 1 TB HDD., my question is i want to upgrade to 16 GB RAM and to suitable SSD up to 1 TB because the laptop speed is too slow and it's frustrating. can you please suggest for the suitable upgrades which are compatible with my model laptop which improve the speed and can be useful for long term.
It does not support nvme SSD. It supports only m.2 SSD. I am using samsung m.2 SSD of 250gb, which I bought from Amazon for rs 4000/-. Before buying SSD I contacted customer care for confirmation, they also said that it doesn't support nvme(non volatile memory express) type SSD. It supports only m.2 normal SSD which is also great speed.
M.2 for ssd slot is not the one shown in the video.... Its right next to hdd bay. M.2 ssd will be attached over the hdd ribbon cables perpendicular to it.
@@prasath_sastra no, it supports only ssd, not nvme(non volatile memory express) . I have contacted hp customer care and they told me that. So I bought samsung m.2 of 250 gb from Amazon and got it fixed in ho store.
Everything online says this processor only allows up to 8gb RAM. I installed one 16Gb in the only existing slot. Boots up just fine and Windows recognizes it. I tested it by running a lot of videos and programs at once to get over 8gb ram usage, and then everything started freezing once I hit 8. I'm not sure the processor can actually use more than the 8gb that the manufacturer says it can use.
