    Best doming resin ever! And I love these ideas!! You got me with this big time. I love the shapes, I love metallic colors and I got about a million ides in my head now. I think I'd paint the backside too though. The paper punchers have been on my list forever. If only shipping to Europe wasn't that expensive...no wait....if only my cats wouldn't have to go to the vet for one months for one silly thing another. Then I could spend my money on resin things again 😃

    Love, love, love this idea with the metallic paints, can't wait to try them tomorrow. I'm sure I am not the only one that waits for more creative ideas from you Fran!(yes, I have watched ALL of your videos, lol). I am completely sold on Little-Windows products. I only wish I had found them sooner!! So much wasted money on other resins!! I comment often in many different places on the internet, and I know I always sound like a commercial for you, but when you find a product that you love this much....well, you have to tell people!!! Your resin is unlike the others so you can do so much more with it, soooo.....not to be impatient, but more ideas....PLEASE??? Please with a cherry on top???

    It's amazing this is only paper! It looks like metal! I wish I had such steady hands. Doming is my weakness. I usually bump a piece or my hand shakes and I pour too much. I'll get the hang of it eventually.

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Carol Quick Keep creating Carol, it's just a matter of finding an application technique that's easiest for you. Often I'll touch my mixing wand to the actual piece and let the resin run down, that steadies things for me - not so practical when you're working on frames or thin pieces, but worth another try for solid ones :)

    Absolutely amazing! You make it look so easy. I did my 1st resin mix & putting it into molds, in last 48 hours. They didn't turn out to be that great. I measured, mixed, covered & waited correctly. I suppose it'll take a LOT of failed attempts, lol. Particularly tricky was pouring resin & hardener, without spilling. Anyway, I just realised you made this video a long time ago. Silly me. Tyfs. 😊

    This is really neat! I don't have any paper punches (yet) but I do have polymer clay and all kinds of clay cutters in different shapes and sizes so I figure I can use those. I have 3 packages of resin too so no shortage there. :) I do plan to check Hobby Lobby next week for some paper cutters though. :p I recycle my aluminum and then go spend the money at Hobby Lobby. :) 5 bags gets me about $6 so saving up to bring 10 bags next time and also a 40% coupon. The Recycle center is right behind Hobby Lobby so it is convenient. - Heidi

      LittleWindowsResin It works out well. :) I have made a bunch of polymer clay shapes after rolling out a sheet paper thin with my pasta machine. I have baked them but haven't yet added any resin. I will be doing that shortly when it warms up a little bit.

      Hello again Carmen! I actually painted on a sheet of our double-sided Special Photo Paper for Resin, but you can use any paper that can be painted without warping, and that can be easily and cleanly punched after painting.
      Here's a link to our papers: www.little-windows.com/collections/special-papers

    Good to know the resin and paint work well together. Love the effect you got with the paints and brushing technique. The resin really accentuates how pretty the paint looks.
    BTW, not sure I have the patience or steady hand to apply the resin to the tiny punched frames, but will give it a whirl.
    TFS!

    wow! how easy! So,you actually don¨t make your pendants from the filling the molds,just with the painted paper!! How genius simple! And may you say which kind of the paper do you use for this?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! These are lots of fun to make and since we use the Silicone Doming Tray instead of molds, you can make them any size or shape. I painted on the Thinner Special Photo Paper from little-windows.com, because it doesn't soak up the paint, stays flat, and is really easy to punch and to cut. You can try other papers but you'll need to experiment. Have fun creating :)

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kim! Oooh, that sounds wonderful! Yes, I would always recommend doming both sides of the Clear Photo Film, since it's so thin. This will give it more dimension, more of a glass-like look, and a bit more substance. Hope that helps :)

      Fran Valera I purchased a silicone measuring cup and when I’m done pouring from it and scraping every last bit of resin, I put the stick against the inside side of it and let it dry. Once dry just tug on the stick and it comes out easily , usually in one piece! I just wish I could find a bigger version of it, it’s only a 4 ounce measure.

      Hola Patricia! En este vídeo, puedo usar nuestro papel fotográfico especial de little-windows.com. Es agradable y suave, mantiene la pintura bien sin deformaciones y puñetazos limpiamente, pero puedes experimentar con otros papeles demasiado. Acaba de encontrar algo que sea lo suficientemente rígido (para mantener la pintura sin deformación), sin ser demasiado grueso para perforar. Espero que esto ayude, diviértase creando joyas y botones, o lo que quieras!

If you have some scrapbook punches or don't mind cutting by hand, and you have some pretty papers or greeting cards, all you'd need is a little Brilliant Resin and a Doming Tray. Hello Laurent! I think you mean our old Dichro-ISH video, we used to offer a black powder that looked like it was in a little wine bottle, that product has been improved and now looks like the one used in this tutorial: www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/7836943-dichro-ish-resin

    Is this paper though? Looks like thin sheets of white plastic to me?

      Hi there! It's our Special Photo Paper for Resin, you can find some here, but you can also use other materials as long as they grip onto the paints you're using and don't chip off as you punch out your shapes. Thanks for asking :).

    Parece papel lustre. Pero te lo investigo con mucho gusto, porque éste se ve un poco rígido, sólo dame la oportunidad de ir a la papelería o a Office Depot. Saludos

    How do you spell that brand name of the acrylics?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +OrangeTabbyCat Hi! The ones shown in the video are Viva Precious Metal Colors (made in Germany but available in the US - Hobby Lobby has some), Lumiere by Jacquard (fabric paints, but they work well for this because they are flexible and don't get brittle or chip off the edges when dry), the gold one is just a DecoArt Metallic, which you can get at any craft store. Have lots of fun creating!

    Will this work with UV resin?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Joanna! UV resin has a tendency to pull back from edges so you'd have to experiment with different substrates. Also the Brilliant Resin I use is not as brittle when cured as UV resin will be so keep that in mind. Let me know how how it goes :) fran@little-windows.com

    Qual o papel que você usou?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! I'm using a sheet of our Special Photo Paper for Resin, but you can use anything that is 1) not warped by acrylic paint, and. 2) punchable when painted.
      I hope that helps :)

    I love all your work. But I have problems with spoken English. Is it possible to insert subtitles even in English to facilitate translation ?? Your videos not know why, do not have the youtube tool for translation. Congratulations and thank you

I would love to buy their kits but I'm in Brazil and will be very expensive for my pocket is clear kkkk ... you are my inspiration, but I tried it with epoxy resin and is not good now I will buy the crystal polyester resin, hope it works out.

    what king of paper is it?

    • @LittleWindowsResin
      @LittleWindowsResin  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Juliette! You can use any stiff paper but I find our Special Photo Paper works best because it's stiff yet thin, and doesn't absorb the resin so it won't warp on you. Have fun :)
