I really enjoyed your trip. I am not able to travel at the moment.. going thru treatment for uterine cancer but when say to get outside I would take my tablet outside on the patio and watch your videos. I look forward to your next adventure. Thanks for all the hard work you put into these for us. You kept my spirits up for sure.
I saw this pop up, but just now got to watch. I really enjoyed your trip through Europe. Thanks for this follow up video. Enjoy your winter down in Arizona (and wherever else you wander!).
Girls I want you to know that I had a stroke a year ago next month. I have followed you forever and want you to know what part you played in my stroke THEY Said I would never walk again. but you know what I laid in that hospital bed and told myself I can listen to them and give up on myself or can pull out my proxy wander woman and get up and prove that I can do it. 11 Months later I am walking without a walker or cane. Ok, some days I am like I am stuck in a pinball machine and bounce off walls but I am upright and determined to keep going. I have just started doing things on my channel again and it is hard and slow and lost subscribers but that's okay they were just subscribers and not supporters. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you, ladies, for teaching me age does not mean I have to give up its mind over matters and if I put my mind to it I can keep going and don't have to give up ever. Love you ladies to pieces and thank you for helping me to still live life as full as I can.
Gosh, we are so sorry to hear about your stroke and all you have been through. But we are so proud of you for finding your inner warrior and kicking ass. Keep going strong and keep us updated on your progress. Sending love and hugs to you.
I just hope you both know how grateful I am for you sharing all this information AND sharing your trips with us - it gives me a lot of hope and excitement for the future. Good luck with prepping and planning future trips! I'm not sure why you don't have a million subscribers but it feels way more personal to "go with you" - it makes me want to put my own trips up on youtube just to share with you!
Ladies I just had to write and thank you both for your fantastic travel videos. I am an avid follower of Camino videos having completed the Portuguese coastal Camino with my son last year, and love to reminise through TH-cam others who have walked the same route as we did. It was joyous to find your three videos covering the Via Francigena, which I am hoping to do this year ,and i simply watched in amazement at the delivery and content you present so beautifully. You guys are different level. May I wish you both continued health and success in all your teavels, and genuinely thank you both for giving the trekking community a gift of your experiences, and particulary your spectacular personalities. Go Girls.
Thank you so much for taking us with you. It kind a sad when you finished been checking on TH-cam see if anything you are updating. Love to see gear lists and reviews
I just have to say one more time, thank you both for generously sharing your adventures with us. You really do make us feel that adventures are possible at any age, if we just set our minds, make a plan and do it! Looking forward to whatever is next. Stay Wild!!!WooHoo!❤
Just love adventuring with you as you encourage exploration and creativity along the journey. Gathered a group for a 100 mile winter challenge recently to keep in shape. We started November 1st and the Oregon rains have kept us on our toes as we slosh through the muddy trails. Trying to fit in hikes between our wonderfully busy lives keeps us active ! Thank you again for all your inspiration!
I live in my rv…have since 2018. Have been the caregiver for my elderly mom. BUT I do take breaks and have sisters in AZ. Hope to run into you two sometime. BTW. I’m 76…older but still truckin’. I sure enjoy your travels. Coming to you from the parking lot of a casino in Central CA, stayed in a winery last night. 👍 😊
I enjoyed following you on this trip, especially through the Julian Mts. Amazing hike and great videos. Loved seeing you loving the coffee! We, too, will be headed south for the winter from our home here in the 4 Corners area and will keep an eye out for you on the AZ trail!
Love that Canadian flag behind you. Photo looks like Nova Scotia. 🤓 Happy you’re home safe and sound. I need to catch up on some I’ve missed. Be well! 🤓🇨🇦
Hi ladies! I so enjoyed this video and listening to how you navigated this trip; how you used Google Maps for finding bus routes, reserving a hostel, using your credit card, communicating with the locals. It all sounded so great and helped put it into perspective for those of us who haven't tried such an endeavor. I like your common sense approach to everything and your ability to go with the flow when things don't go as planned or thought. What a great trip.I felt like I was right there with you. I'll look forward to your next adventure. Take care.
Hi ladies - I live in the Phoenix area and am happy to take you on a few trials this winter if you like. The weather is great right now! Loved the update!
Hi, Ladies! Welcome back to USA/Colorado! Love your videos and glad you had a great time! You inspire me so much, I can’t wait to retire in 2 1/2 years and start hiking the trails. You’ve given me such a bucket list. You’re right about travel, my trip to the UK this summer had so many resources to figure out how to get around, it was so easy. Anyway, glad you’re back home and hope to run into you again in Frisco someday! 😊
Thank you for answering my questions. Great wrap up video! Thanks again for all you have done to enrich so many peoples lives! I am headed to AZ for winter I hope we run into each other. It is a wish of mine to meet you both someday!
What was your foot care routine? Would like to see/know how you use correct toes. So great that you kept your videos current. I appreciate all the hard work put into your videos.
Wonderful trip summary , advice and tips, thank you! Love the Canadian flag behind you, it goes with the print above it, I assume from your PEI/Nova Scotia trip :) Excited to see your winter adventures. Take good care!
How great!!!! One little tip for future travelers here, some ATMs ask if you want to accept conversion fee, you can just decline that. (Conversion service is different from atm fees that we're accustomed to automatically accepting) Your home bank will make the conversion for free or whatever their fees are. In Portugal the conversion fee for their banks can be 13% or more so really high. I'm still wearing correct toes, too! I used Bookings, air bnb, google maps, and google flights is definitely a game changer especially if looking way ahead and are traveling light. Currently 6 months on the WA coast near the olympics. Getting out everyday. You are an inspiration. Yesterday kayaked in some canals, forest hikes and long beach walks... lol recovering from some squats from recent rainy day recess! A big focus for 'training' has been incorporating breathing techniques that are new to me. Breath by James Nestor is super informative and Patrick Mc keown... also on YT is all about really gentle nose breathing with various practises for athletes to health issues. After 2 mos my very normal and consistent resting heart rate is 10 points lower. Those long walks in the sand include some lovely inspiring works.
I've read the Nestor book and found it interesting. There's a book from a guy who used to come into a bike shop I worked in 30 years ago, Conscious Breathing, by Gay Hendricks. It was my intro to the power of breathing.
Oh wow, good tip about using google maps to figure out buses! Figuring out transportation on trips just seems challenging to me! I'm looking forward to your future adventures! Having a plantar fascia release surgery tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be back on the trail next year.
If you come to Alaska, would be great fun to have you speak to our hiking club. Not sure if you all do that sort of thing! thanks for sharing all the info.
Psst.............Traditional Thai massage ....do try the style where the practitioner has ropes above and primarily uses her feet. It'll work you over, right into the next chapter :)
Love watching your adventures! I haven't had time to watch all of your last trips videos . I've been hiking the AT for a few weeks in VA❤. I have to say that even though I did get the opportunity to hike the 100 Mile and Mt Katahdin last year... the sketchy areas and height factor of that Mt really was super hard for me. Yes.. I did it but it took 2 attempts bc I absolutely ran out of time on the first try . It was much harder than i anticipated even though i learned all i possibly could b4 going..Watching you guys climb instantly brought back my feeling of 😱 that I felt on Katahdin. I had never been on terrain like that before. I was wondering if you could relate the 2 areas in difficulty or maybe sketchiness? But just wow guys... I don't comment much but ya'll are awesome adventurers and I love watching. Thank you also for helping to inspire me to keep on adventuring myself. I love it so much. God bless you and have a wonderful day❤
THNX for answering my questions!! I have one more--best source of info re: Croatia, the goal being NOT mountain hiking. Thnx for pointing out the Juliana Trail, my thought is to start there and end in Croatia. I know you talked about the coastal trail in Croatia.
I have done several hikes in Europe and I would recommend the Tour du Mont Blanc. The beauty is breathtaking, the comradery at the huts, the mountain villages. Epic
Can you tell me where I can get a water bottle holder that attaches to the front of my shoulder strap on my backpack. I watch every you tube for 3 years
I guess I missed out on submitting questions. I want to know more about your foot care. What is your regular protocol? What shoes give you the best results? Didn’t Kristi buy some new shoes in Europe? Annette mentioned some kind of “toe” thing. What is it and what does it do for you? When you think about how many miles are on your feet…foot care is a major consideration.
Here is some info on our foot care. th-cam.com/video/x2fXDnWIqQI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uYMbY1h2YcdKtNwq th-cam.com/video/kCPs90UCxz0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fGnfb9URUxZ35Y4y

"Just go outside people" - love it! :)
Greetings from Slovenia. Your hike in the Alps is admirable.

I am sure that you have already been, but this year I was able to do Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It was absolutely amazing!!!

Google Croatia long distance trail. It's on the far-out app too.
We loved the island of Krk. Check that out, too.
Thanks you so much for this trip. You are my inspiration! Maybe I can figure out the coffee thing. Do you use a qr reader?
Wander,amazing vlog~ 🙃
If you decide to hike the AZT, Rhelda and I would love to drive you to/from the Pine trailhead.
Thank you, Gary.
You both are looking great! Enjoy your rving! Have you ever done gravel biking?
We have.
Loved the videos of you Slovina trip.. Wondering what you did for your cell phones.. Didyou purchase a European SIM card?
Yes, we used an E sim card.

Have you guys considered canoe camping a river or something like that? I know you have kayaks…been watching for years…
What is the website? Bookings?
Bookings is an app
Have you guys done any yakpacking? I would love to some day.
No, we haven't.
In the Wind Rivers of WY and the in the Collegiates on the Colorado Trail, we met people goat packing. They were loving it.
Could you have gotten by without a tent?
Yes.
