  • Load development series where I use five steps to get a precise load for any weapon. Load development is a significant part of loading your own ammo, reloading is also the best way to increase the accuracy of your rifle as it gives you more control over the variables. This load development series was made to show you the five-step I use on all my rifles and what methods I use to get consistently accurate results. This step is step 5 the last one n the series and the idea is to fine-tune the load you got from steps 1 to 4. This step is to play with the length of the bullet to get a better grouping at 100 meters. I use a target from accurateshoote...
I really hope that you guys learned something from this series and that your rifle is now ready to shoot small groups!

After Step 5, did you verify your selected loads? Can you share the final verification groups ?
    Are the groups consistent?

After step 5 once you have decided what you length must be (according to the target) you pretty much have the smallest group you rifle would shoot with that selected load, (or at least in theory) .The general result is that the group starts out around 1MOA and reduces to about 0.3-0.4 MOA and then you get a larger group as the bullet gets shorter back to the 1 MOA group. You then select a length in between the two smallest groups which gives you a tolerance for loading. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of how that rifle worked out. I recently dit it with my 6 dasher but my groups where al around 0.4MOA to 0.2MOA so even those pictures wont illustrate what it should looks like for a hunting rifle.
      I hope it helps.

Of dink jy dalk is dit nie so consistent nie.

2 is temperature sensitivity.
