    commenting on the size or bodyfat percentage of a strong man is like commenting on how weak a bodybuilder is. who cares. he doesn't train to look good or be small. he trains to be strong as possible. bodybuilders train to look big at very small body fat percentages. You wanna look at half naked dudes and judge their body weight, cool. Watch those kind of videos when they're posted. respect all styles and shut up.

      TheColaOrginal. That's just his genetics. He was able to get strong enough to where he didn't need to sacrifice his appearance/bodyweight. If he had put on more weight, he would have done even better in terms of brute strength, but he didn't need to. Everyone is different.

    Brian looks about 6 inches shorter to me in this video for some reason. He also sounds more soft spoken too...he sounds like he's trying to sell me tools at a tool store. He just seems so much larger and more confident on camera now. (None of that is meant to sound negative either. Brian is a fantastic person, and I really admire his energy, work ethic, and overall wonderful personality).

    Brian Shaw is one of the Strongest men on the planet to date. Barbell looked tiny in his hands. With all the injuries associated with training and competing, a big high five for all the strong men out there. Takes a tonne to do what they do. All that eating, all that training. The life!

      as a normal human being trying to lift those atlat stones you probably will get destroyed...I think it's not possible to lift something like that if you are normal, meaning that B. Shaw or Bjornsson are not men that can be compared to...I dont know if they have some back problem due to the heavy lifting but I guess that 99.9 % of all men would never be able to do something like that...so for an amateur to be like them is a very dangerous attempt...

    • @Morphinominall
      @Morphinominall 7 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      What you've just said, is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Do you actually believe the very first time Brian attempted to shoulder a stone, he was able to lift 400+ lb with ease? Or perhaps that could be attributed to years of consistent sport specific training? To say they are not normal men is to discredit the absurd amount of brutal practice they have endured daily to reach the level they are at now.

    • @service409
      @service409 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Josh- I think you're the only one who understood the topic here.
      To the others- What I'm saying is that you can make your own stones that don't have to weigh 400#. I wouldn't start squatting with 400# either. The two men mentioned are exceptional, I could have followed the same path in life but never would have been able to achieve what they can do. However, without putting in the work that they have, neither would they. Plus Shaw is just a nice down to earth guy, thank goodness. I'm not sure about the Mountain haven't really watched any interviews with him so he might be too.

      As healthy as any other professional athlete doing terrible things to their bodies. Seriously, look at Brett Favre... early onset of memory loss. Look at all of these golden era bodybuilders dying of heart attacks.... most athlete's if they're doing it right, more than likely are not doing their body justice.

      learning fighting An entire fucking pizza as a snack. I read somewhat recently that they have amazong cardiovascular systems, and obviously muscularly strong and have great muscular endurance, but the fact remains that the human body isn't meant to be that big. It puts a strain on your organs.
