- I had a blast making this mermaid-colored dirty resin pour tumbler and tray. It's surprisingly easy and fun! What other colors would you guys like to see?

Just a suggestion
When I do these I put some painters tape around the foam so if resin gets on it you just peel the painters tape off after.

Thank you, I've never seen a cup/tumbler done before.
The one thing I like about this one is that you are not wasting resin. Whatever doesn't stay on the cup goes into the tray.

The tray reminds me of the Milky Way.
Just a tip, but if you put a board beneath your resin mat *with a little double sided tape* it might be easier to move it. I really enjoyed this. I will definitely try it. Thank you for sharing.
The colors on the tray remind me of a Glacier. Both cup and tray are very pretty.

It depends on the resin you're using, different resins have different viscosities which will make a difference. Try letting your resin sit for a little bit, like 15 to 30 minutes (depending on the work time of your resin) before pouring

Beautiful! I love them both! How do you keep the foam gunned up with paint and resin? So you cover it with something?
I'm not sure if she covers the foam. I cover mine with a strip of painters tape. Just so any drips from the edge land on the tape and I still have plenty of foam to hold the cup in place.

When doing your dirty pour, how much resin are you adding to your paint color mix? I want to use 4 colors. My tumbler size is 14oz modern curve and I have the same tray mold as you. Please and thank you!
So it's the resin thick or does it thin itself out? Do you have to coat with anything else or is it one shot and done?
I heard you say you put some micas in - but didn’t hear what was the other colors were & did you mix all the colors with epoxy? Very pretty

How much resin would you say you use for a cup this size? I’d love to get into this but resin is so expensive and I’d hate to waste any especially since I’m rather new and wouldn’t want to goof anything up and waste any.
Hello. Love your work. You help motivate me in getting started. Question- Can you use acrylic Paint and resin together?
You can, but I don't suggest it. If you want to try coloring your resin with acrylic paint, try it out with a very small amount to begin with because it may flash cure

This is food safe resin, but you can use a straw if you'd like :)

Could you have added some of the alcohol drops you used in a previous video on the tray or the cup?
tried my hand at this but my colors just melded together, I used all mica powders to color my epoxy. Is it maybe not thick enough?
I do this with my steamless wine glasses, but I get a "butt" on the bottom of the glass so it webblewobbles... how do I stop the bump on the bottom where resin builds up on tumbler?
How does the tray look so different when you’re finished ? It has purple in it when there was no purple showing and cells.
Is it paint mixed with resin for the pour?

Is the colored medium acrylic paint or is it epoxy with colored mica?

What color products do you use?
Did you add resin in each cup before acrylic paint
There's no acrylic paint in here at all :) the materials are in the description
What do you do with the extra resin that's on the tray

It's It's shame you lost that first design it looked like a cool smokey alien design!
Maybe next time put the tray on a board or something hard. Then it might keep the pattern.
