Thank you after watching tons of beach wave tumbler and doing it I saw it was lumpy? No one said that it’ll be lumpy no one until you!!! Thank you because I thought I’d have to redo but you saved me from that chaos so thank you ❤️ now I’ll wait to give that another hand of epoxy and then my last coat which I do have sea turtles and fish to add on them epoxy to finish. I’m so grateful I found you
Absolutely love your beach tumbler!!!! This is the first video I've seen on a beach themed tumbler and I just love it so much so thank you for sharing it!!!!
That opal white is beautiful… I hope to dive into doing this one day, just can’t right now with my 1 year old. I can’t believe I just learned about alcohol inks the other day lol 😂
I did this same thing to a Brand New HAMMER!!! So no one would steal it.... or at least I'd know it's my Hammer. It turned out BEAUTIFUL.. It would make a cool Gag Gift... (I also did the TOP of the hammer too) Silver
Yes ma'am, they sure do. I discovered it after I made this video. I love using it on my tumblers now. I think it's called sand dollar though... Or heck I don't know, we could be talking about two different colors. But they do have a perfect Sandy color. Lol 😂
I don't take custom orders anymore because I try to mainly focus on my TH-cam channel. I actually do have one of these tumblers ready to sell though if you would like to contact me about it. You can email me at kristicustomcreations@gmail.com

Yay!! Thank you!! I’m ordering the adhesive sandpaper and the honey bottles, and I’ll be sanding them tomorrow!! I’m a newbie and one has a handle, so wish me luck on that! 😍😂 I don’t see a way to send photos or video to you here, but with your help, I’m sure they’ll turn out good! The handled one is for my boss! Eek! 😅 THANK YOU!

Hi, I'm curious why two coats of epoxy were used before the coat with alcohol inks? Could you do the alcohol inks on the coat directly after the glitter and save 2 coats? Thank you in advance!
I like to do the two coats of epoxy over The glitter before sanding it and adding alcohol ink because it needs to be sanded to smooth down some of the chunky glitter. If you add alcohol ink before standing, you might sand up some of the alcohol inks. I like deep look that the multiple layers of epoxy before alcohol inks add to it.. It really gives the cup a lot of depth.
I'm in the process now of making my first one. when i use the wax paper some of the glitter stuck to the wax paper, and i couldn't possibly give a layer of resin right after that,it seems too wet. did i use too much resin on the very first layer?
You might have used a little bit too much epoxy initially. Let it dry just a little bit and then use the wax paper on it. Once the first bit of epoxy is dry, then you can put a second coat of epoxy over it.
These cups are absolutely beautiful!! I’m new to the cup making and I’m obsessed :) trying different things is fun, yet scary. I attempted to make 2 of these for a friend going on vacation- and I for some reason has troubles getting the waves/white to have the effect like yours .. I’m not sure what I did wrong, if I did not put enough white dye in the resin or not enough white resin period :( they still look okay, but just don’t have the wave effect. I’m going to give it another shot - but not sure what I did wrong. Thank you for sharing your video!
Did you use enough epoxy on the Tumbler before putting the waves on? It's important to have enough epoxy so that the white will spread out when you blow it with the heat gun. Thanks for watching and I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! 🥰
I had the same problem! I know I had enough epoxy on the tumbler. But for me it’s like the white sank into the blue, like maybe I had too much epoxy? It’s still very pretty but not quite as wavy as yours
So beautiful!! I want to learn how to make these. I’ve watched a couple of videos that demonstrated sanding the tumblers before applying the final coat of epoxy. I didn’t see you do that? Is it not really necessary? Maybe because of chunky glitter? I LOVE this tumbler! Thank you so much for sharing your talent♥️
You only need to sand if the glitter is poking up or if it isn't smooth. I always sand after two coats of epoxy over the glitter and I usually don't sand again after that.
I've been curious and wanting to try to make custom main tumblers but how safe is epoxy? Because I know you're not supposed to put resin in your mouth.
You should always have plenty of ventilation and use PPE while working with epoxy. Once it is fully cured it is safe but while still in the curing process, the epoxy does release fumes
Yes but you want to make sure you don't sand over any vinyl and it's best if the cup is smooth before applying the vinyl so it doesn't show any bumps under the vinyl.
I’m going to try this for the first time. I have everything you used in this video except the white alumilite dye. Can you use any white acrylic paint or white alcohol ink to apply to the resin to make the waves?
I love watching your videos and I’ve tried this cup a few times I’m having problems when I get to putting the waves on. I have the white dye on you link and I’m not sure if I’m putting to much epoxy to get it to move or to much heat. Any times you might share that might help me on my next tumbler?
@@KristisCustomCreations would it be better if I can just send you a picture of the tumbler? It seems that I was getting to much movement with the epoxy and might had put to much white on the tumbler.

You can use white alcohol ink too. I actually used to always make them with white alcohol ink but the white epoxy dye is a bit more of a solid color than the ink was. Both ways work perfectly fine!
I charge $45 for my 20oz tumblers and $55 for my 30oz tumblers. These sell really well for me and I have no problem getting that price for them. Some people in small towns do sell there's for a little less but keep in mind that your time and materials go in to these Tumblers. 😊
