It took me 2 and a bit years to save up for my dream/current bike, and that's 2nd hand (08-13 only). There's nothing wrong with a street 500 any way, and it should serve you well till you get the funds to upgrade. I do however, completely understand the pursuit of power (110hp & 160Nm at the tyre for me lol) To be honest though, I'm jealous, cause I'd love to give a little 500 a thorough thrashing just for shits and giggles. 😁 Keep your head on a swivel, keep it shiny side up, and stay safe out there brother, cause Aussie cagers are a menace. 🤘
If you lived closer to the Northern suburbs, I’d get you to work at my pizza shop 🍕for a little extra $$$ Nothing wrong with the Rebel , take your time brother and enjoy 🏍️
Im in the same situation. I ride an 01 Softail Deuce. I absolutely love it, and it is what I ride 3 or 4 days out of the week to and from work (when it's not raining, as it is now), and on the weekends, it's all i ride. I'd like to buy a Road King or Street Glide for the long rides/trips and for the missus' comfort, but it's just not financially smart to do. Maybe by the end of next year, when my Deuce and truck are paid off. But, it's not a NEED, just a want. But it'd be nice!!!! Stay safe, yo!
Im in a very similar situation, as a new rider. I picked up something pretty cheap that i wouldnt be scared of getting dinged up, and it has caused so much trouble and i cant source the part i need for it. Im coming to the end of my L playe period, i cant afford another bike, and ill most likely have to throw money at a lender for the P test, only to still not be able to ride :( i feel you man
Alot of used XL883n's around for a few grand more than the rebel will sell for. If it's something that floats your boat. I also very much understand even a few grand can be tough.
The rebel is a perfectly good bike. No big deal if you can't stretch it for a new one
More want than need lol
tips and tricks videos are always great, its good to see other people views on them from personal experiences and opinions
Im thinking I'll do some more

Small bikes are fun, but power is fun
@@sergeantwombat I can't argue with you there, but the more power, the harder it is to fight the urge to be stupid on the streets. 🤭
@Whiskers74 must be a good boy
Well, at least you didn't start on a 300.
We dont get the rebel 300 for a good reason in aus
Yo, love the vids dude. I got a 1988 Honda VLX400 Steed and I'm in the Melbourne area if you ever want to meet and do a vid with my bike
That could be a good time
