My type of guy. I bought one of these to make some clears for my boat ( quoted $ 6000 ) I own a workshop like yours. Got through the easy part with ease with this great machine. In the end I asked my seamstress sister for help, whilst I replaced the clutch and timing belt on her Toyota she glided through the hard bits. We both saved a bomb. I donated my new machine to my niece and are all living happily (for the moment) Great vid , thank you . By the way, use the automatic needle threader next time. ENJOY,!
Nice one Harry, you crack me up. Camomile tea indeed. I have the same sewing machine and will look into getting going with it. I plan to make a Jolly Roger for my balcony and also some pillow cases... Your video was useful to get started. Thanks!
Theres actually a quick needle threader on that machine. I can see it. That little white lever at the side of the presser foot. Old vid so I'm sure you know by now.
So any news from the machine? I am just like you, no experience at all and my mom got fed up of me asking her to modify stuff like my shooting range bag that she got me this machine! I have seen a couple of reviews and this machines seems to impress people a lot, mainly it's power. Chewing trough ten layers of vinyl like nothing! The first day she made me do a vinyl cover for the machine... Two notes from my mom's explanation about your video: For sewing on leather or vinyl, you might want to install the teflon presser foot (provided). Leather has a specific needle and for vinyl. a needle of 90 or 100 is better (out of the box there is a 80 installed). She told me to always turn the knob for lowering the needle towards me, that it is better for the internals...
Oh yeah, and if you feel the thread breaking or leaving the needle when you begin to sew, it is because the mechanism pulls to long on the thread (long arm), you need 10cms of thread after the needle when you cut the thread. Took me 15 minutes to understand, I thought the thread was breaking...it just needed that extra thread to get the machine going without pulling it out of the thread...
I have been held up on another project (someone asked me to make a desk out the front end of a 1970's Jaguar so will be back on the couch in a couple of weeks. Thanks for watching.
I would have absolutely no idea. A quick google search should show up any local suppliers. Thanks for watching the video and let me know if I can be of any assistance in the future. Cheers Harry

@@HarrysBigShed Don't worry I can't understand either, and I speak Spanish, here grab a translation. Dear very looking nice of trying to explain, please I have had this machine for very little time and I wanted to sew a piece of rather thin cloth, and the stitch comes down but up very shoesole, I moved the button of the left and I haven't been unable to regulate it, please if someone knows, I'd be pleased, thank you.
Ok guys you need ayt video, just with images, look out yt channel Dismaco, in there search toyota power fabriq17 vid course. Easyyyy and wath the cd please
One big advise is this: Do not use ylur brand new expensive machine until watch the instructions cd, or unlees you read the big manual what it says "Quick Instructions" in 6 languages, no just 3, you would have saved ages and money. Now you need a new machine 😂
