    Best intro in a while. Superb editing. Dang. I really hope you remember me when you're big time, and let me hold that silver play button.....BAM! Great video! Like I've said before, I have no interest AT ALL in doing what you're doing in this video, but its captivating to watch in it entirety. You really put a lot of time and thought into making these videos and it shows.

      Thank you Dieter, this one was tough I lost half my footage and had to be very creative on it . I appreciate the compliment but I think you'll have your silver play button before me , I've grew over a 1000 this month and your still out growing me , I watch your stuff too just can't comment lol

      @@FishinNStuff how much time did a)you spend shooting, and b)did you spend editing that?

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe 3 days shooting but here lately it's been about 4 thousand degrees in my metal building so it's been taking longer , then I normally take a couple days to edit , I can exit faster but I do better taking my time , when I was transferring my footage to my external drive last weekend a bunch of it corrupted I guess cause I lost it . So I spent last week remaking it edited it Thursday and Friday

    The inside of the bottom die ( angle iron ) is curved. Add some strips of 16 gag. metal to the sides of the die so that the upper die can go to a full 90 deg.

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good idea if it's a bottom out die , where you have too bottom it out to get 90 deg , if I hit the bottom of my die its easy past 90 deg , plus you need a little radius in your bends so you don't make your corners weak . The only problem with having a bottom out die is didnt material thicknesses kind of change it and I never know what I'll be making next . But your right

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will bend over 90 degrees, but you are right the material does matter . For thicker material you'll need a wider bottom and top I would think . And you only have 20tons of force but that's surprisingly strong . I would be scared to say the one I made will bend 1/4 " steel but not sure on the angle. Have you watched the cleat rod holder or the how to make a rodholder videos I used it on those video to Fabricate them

      My shop looks clean on camera lol . I guess it is but I never get it as clean as it once was . That's a huge compliment coming from a tool maker by the way thank you. Wer have tool and die where I work , but I'm not in it . I'm a welder Fabricator , but I've been in a lot of different departments the last 25 years I get bored and like learning something new

    For safety sake, please wear steel cap boots when working around the shop. Its not worth the hurt if you drop something heavy or sharp (or both) on your crocs!!! Nice Job.

    The angle thickness for the top punch....3/16 or 1/4?

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The top die was 3/16" thick I'm pretty sure , but thicker wouldn't hurt at all . But that angle is so small and welded it would probably take more than that 20ton press come give to bend it
