- Why do we need truth? Why can we not keep believing the lies being served to us by mainstream and alternative media? In this video, I will try to explain why truth is so essential.

I can somehow relate with the virtue. I had several negative experience the last days with gaming communities.
Truth is not a virtue. Lying is one of the greatest sins, a deadly sin, real sins not some bs like lust or other things where you don’t hurt anyone. It is straight against natural law as you steal life time from other people doing it and it should be punished very strictly and severly.

@@kennethkeen1234 Look at Biden a notorious liar he is a trainwreck. If you steal lifetime from other people it will affect you in some way or the other. A healthy society would also take care of it. It is not healthy for you when you know you lie it eats you up from the inside as we are social beings and it’s against natural law and doesn’t help anyone. Helping people is healthy that is already scientifically proven and that is the opposite. It’s just how it is. Isn’t it obvious?
Every person on tv is a paid actor. Some get large paychecks. They read a script, nothing else. I am 4 years "sober" from tv. It is great.

A lie from Norway
In the mid-1970s, my uncle worked on an oil platform off shore of Norway. On one occasion, he brought me a magazine for the workers who worked there then, and on the front page were written the years from 1976 until 2002, so the first year was black, and each subsequent year was a shade lighter, while the year 2002 was completely white, what suggested that in 2002 oil will disappear under the North Sea.
I was surprised how people took it for granted. Clearly, the year 2002 passed, oil was exploited at an even higher rate, but no one talked about it anymore, but politicians and media continued to talk about pollution, then it was not CO2, but they talked about acid rain, which is caused by sulfur from coal and fuel oil. In that time it started to be talked about global warming.
That's when I realized that the disappearance of oil was a blatant fraud.
I also was taught in school in the late sixties. That oil would run out in 30 years.
@@antebratincevic6764 They have information campaigns and timelines for their objectives. The day to day hectic life of people allows them to continue their narratives even when they are nonsensical.
I remember the hoax of all the glaciers melting in the arctic by 2015 back in 2006. 2015 came around and that’s when I knew you can’t trust these people. They only fear monger out of resentment.

The oil shortage in the US in the 70's was manufactured. Like much of our society it's built on lies, corruption, and manipulation.

Most people wearing masks these days do it because they are sick, and wear them to prevent spreading whatever they are infected with.

Respect peoples desire to not get covid or other sickness, because they want you to be healthy as well. It is far easier to fool most people, than it is to convince them that they have been fooled.
Although I think he was overall a malfactor, Abraham Lincoln was right about one thing when he said: "You can fool all of the people some of the time. And you can fool some of the people all of time. But you can't fool all of the people all of the time."
Unfortunately, in our modern system all the evil ones have to do is fool most of the people most of the time. And this they have been doing.

I do have to admit that that was quite a stupid question. I most probably also wouldn’t answer if someone would ask me what a woman is and that I should define what a woman is.

Yes. Ever the 9th commandment says it. “ Thou shalt not bear false witness “. Which is basically don’t lie.
It’s not in our nature to lie and be ok within.
Or else people could lie and not suffer the consequences of how it erodes our souls and spirits.
Everyone lies, everyone, including non verbal people with low intellectual capacity. Some people lie about everything, some lie about small things, some lie about big things and some will lie simply because they can. Truth in some circumstances means nothing to some. False confessions to crimes not committed for example. So someone telling truth to someone using lies only aids the one being deceptive. Truth doesn't always set one free.
I'll give an example of non verbal disability using deception to gain advantagesinve ai mentioned it.
A disabled person with very basic communication skills and low intellectual capacity can decieve a person using the most basic communication skill. You can ask a non verbal a question regarding if they have just had some ice creamthey indicate 'No' even when you know they just had ice cream, the no answer is in order to get more ice cream. So they 'lie' in order to get more. No one tells the truth to its fullest capacity. No one. @@Nightjar726

I am honest: I was trusting the government in the first year of this c thing. I got poked. Even my wife does. More than once. We regret but we can’t change. We realized after the start of the second shut down that things were wrong. It is how it is. It was important that we started realizing and being honest to ourselves that we were wrong. But we never put our fingers to others. We always said that we understand both side’s thoughts. As you said: only then we really can improve. Thanks for this important message, Björn!

Four hours hiking this morning searching for mushrooms. Fortunately I have wilderness right outside my doorway. To get away from the noise of traffic into the silence of the forest is the most truth I can possibly have. I leave the pursuit of lies to the highway traffic back in town.

I grew up on a Christmas tree farm in northern Michigan a lot of my family heritage is from Norway. We used to give people saws like that to go cut down their own tree 👍🎄

I was just chased by a barking, vicious dog, weighing about 70 pounds. The obese owner and child were watching and feebly calling it. Dog was off leash. Biting at my heels. Barking continuously. I learned by asking questions that they had it from tiny puppy but never trained it. I called it in to animal control. Having just gotten out of major surgery 60 days previous, I was in no shape to run for my life.
Never be “chased” by an aggressive dog. Stand your ground and say “NO!” As a dog, I only chase people in hopes of mooching treats. WOOF!
We are so lucky to be living in a high time of Western culture and science. We have governments who can control not just today's weather, but also the weather in hundreds of years from now. Brilliant scientists who know exactly how warm it will be in hundreds of years, and can measure sea levels, in spite of tides and storms and land rising and falling to fractions of a millimetre . And a man with all the tackle intact only has to put a frock and a bit of makeup on, and hey-presto, the guy's a gal. And we can celebrate ever morer diversity every day. Truly fantastic times.
And when the magnetic pulls flip it will all be over. And we will all be stone aged cave people again. So enjoy it while it lasts. What a fun circus it is. Lots of clowns.
US political news is like a taste of what people in the Soviet Union were fed.
People in Europe and USA have been fed lies about The Soviet Union and Russia. Dangerous lies. If you hear or read something in the media about Russia or the Sovit Union - in reality, it's the opposite. I was born in the Soviet Union - great times, great country, people were much happier back then. And I've lived in Europe for half of my life, so I know what I'm saying.

We know truth matters because every time we find truth, and act upon it, success is likely to follow. Without truth, there is nowhere to anchor and nothing to direct us with the confidence and clarity required. Sadly there are many people who reject facts and embrace falsehoods because it makes them feel better. There are two paths to self delusion - One is to believe what is inherently not true - The other is to refuse to accept what is true.

I agree with you. The truth sometimes is a bitter pill to swallow, but the truth will always be better for you in the long run. Holding onto lies and believing lies, will ultimately cause you to be deceived and perish in darkness.

I have 2 relatives still accepting the narrative. Still getting their arm pokes. My 61 year old uncle who has no family of his own and heart failure and my 87 year old Nanna who is doing everything to keep him here for one more day. The stress it’s causing them both is hard to watch but they won’t listen.

I am a millennial, but have cut out social media and pretty much all mainstream media. It's only been a few years, but re-immersing myself when doing anything with friends makes all the "hidden" propaganda, marketing, and other forms of lying about as obvious as a slap in the face. It sometimes feels like I am the only one being repelled enough that I would rather stare at a wall with the company of my own thoughts than stare at a screen with the company of thoughts produced by such malevolent strangers. The "entertainment value" is not worth the cost of losing myself again.
It reminds me of those videos where tourists present candy to tribal people who have lived their life with nothing but fruit, vegetables, and meat. The sweetness of sugar alone is not enough to sway them, and they think most of it is disgusting. So, too, would the vast majority of western "culture" today immediately repel the people of more honest days like oil and water. They were not desensitized since infancy to the artificiality/the lies, and no benefit from the "entertainment" served would sway them to overlook the evils like they expect us all to do.

the young are being permitted/encouraged to distort, deny, to lie and be cowards, blame others and not make any effort to correct these things. Within my lifetime the change has been 180 degrees.

Yes Bjorn the truth is not subjective. Cognitive dissonance is the discomfort a person feels when their behavior does not align with their values or beliefs. Cognitive dissonance is a psychological phenomenon that occurs when a person holds two contradictory beliefs at the same time.

There is a young woman who comes to my church wearing a cloth mask and her 4-year-old daughter wears one, too. Always. The mother’s fear is palpable.
Excellent vid. Let me share two rules I live after, and mostly succeed in doing so: 1) Tell the truth, or at least don’t lie. (Jordan B. Peterson) 2) If you care about the person you talk to, be honest. If you care about yourself, tell them what they want to hear.
I remember how stern some adults seemed to be when I was growing up…they were telling truths I didn’t want to hear. Nowadays I observe your 2nd point frequently, especially that of caring about oneself and telling others what they want to hear. Communicating “the truth” has all turned backwards. 😔
