- In this video Corin works on a Korean Hornbeam. During the video we tackle some carving on the tree to bring some character back into the stump that had been left by a previous trunk on the tree. After carving the bonsai Corin then works on creating a branch structure to this tree, completing the image and improving this deciduous bonsai.

It's Sunday. A Greenwood bonsai video, some reggae and Corin with mute off. What a morning. Many thanks.
Yes. Always such gentle reggae. I’d never heard that style before!
Yay the voice and music is back....👍
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you.
What an improvement! Please keep with the 'talkies'. Many thanks Corin.
“You’re a Wizard Corin!” Phenomenal, Cinderella to the Ball, transformation!!! Show readying!

That looks great, Corin! Loved the music too!👌👍
You sure are the Bonsai master Corin , i hope Josh is well too ? I love the carving, something i would love to do on my Hornbeam which i think is a European ? Also i would like to do some on my privet but sometimes is so hard to decide how to start and how much to do, but these videos are an invaluable resource. Loved the talk through this time so interesting to listen to you talk through !!
The continuation of the driftwood from the old trunk and into the hollow is awesome. It binds the whole thing together.
Nice one. After seeing the carving demonstration at the Bonsai Bash my brother-in-law thought aloud that it would be a good idea to do a few POV videos. Bonsai ones, like. So thank you good people of Greenwood. 🌿
So much better to hear you discussing what your going to do etc, it’s amazing to see how you tackle and improve the tree 😜
Fantastic the voice and music is back……Thoroughly enjoyed this. Many thanks for sharing.
Hi Corin,

Love your confidence when carving as there is no going back and I bet the smell is amazing. Hats off to Josh for the chose of music. Do you seal the carved wood to protect it?

Hi there great vid again guys what’s the bit do you use on the smaller grinder for the detail ?
Hi Corin - many thanks for another great demo. What bits did you use for the Makita and dremel? Cheers Craig
Hi Corin, great video and nice job on the carving. Can I please ask what model it is of the Carving tool with the Cord on it ? I Really want to get one of these ! Thanks for your help. 🙏 Keep up the good work.

Is this the best time to carve deciduous trees?
Where do you get the fantastic burning tool
So no lime sulfur then maybe some no colour protection for wood ?
What month do you clipper it
Out of curiosity, you say it's not going to break the budget. How much do you typically charge for a session like this? I understand that it varies per tree but what kind of range are we talking
Currently charged at £60 hr and this was less than an hours work
@@greenwoodbonsaistudiothat’s really reasonable for a professional. I honestly expected much more.
Less than I expected! This kind of thing always seemed like a budget breaker but that's a very fair price
What would be your preferred method to preserve the wood and stop it rotting ?
I’m not too keen on lime sulphur on deciduous trees also.
Usually a wood hardener so natural colour is kept
Thanks Colin 👍🏻
I’d rather hear the Makita
