Indeed - İ think we all know that clip.. It was filmed immediately after an avalanche on Anapurna in 2022. I don't doubt that having a wall of snow & ice bearing down on her was a harrowing incident, as was seeing several other climbers swept away to their deaths right in front of her - but times of greatest danger are the most important times to keep a cool head & even temperament. But she was screaming, crying for others to "Go help them" - when they were beyond all help, being deceased already.. She caused others in her group to become terribly upset as well. She fell apart, endangering everyone on her team - the last kind of personality I'd want to take into the mountains with me. This lady was upset but kept her head.

multiple people have made it to the summit with no oxygen. Same with K2. Definitely much more difficult and much. let dangerous, but it’s been done and it’s possible, it’s not an instant death sentence with no O2.

This is not the death zone... It is the ice fall. There are three base camps beyond this point. The death zone is beyond camp 4 and close to the summit. There are no ladders beyond camp one.
The ladder has to be brought by back, by Sherpas and porters. Has to be installed and stabilised where is possible. Here might be the only possibility....

Due to the high altitude the air pressure is low and it will be harder for your body to carry out normal body functions. So the more time you spend there the closer you move to death . Hence it's called death zone.

I honestly don't see the point in doing this. We have homeless people living on the street yet people are spending thousands of dollars to unnecessarily put their lives at risk climbing mountains.

This is not the death zone. This is at the beginning of the trek, in the Khumbu icefall, where more than 25% of all deaths have taken place on Everest. The death zone is what lays above 28000 feet elevation.

Ladders liks this are typically used in the Khumbu Ice fall which is located at only 5500m which is not in the death zone....

I honestly don't see the point in doing this. We have homeless people living on the street yet people are spending thousands of dollars to unnecessarily put their lives at risk climbing mountains.
All these people are like “I climbed Everest”. Well the only reason is because of those Sherpas who put out ladders, got the ropes ready and helped you carry all your shit.
They make aluminum scaffolding thats light weight can extend to 16’ to twenty feet.Everytime i watch how sketchy it looks like walking on top of a ladder.u could even modify the otherside of it make it into a ladder when needed
I would have had a stroke. No way no how! They need to only allow climbers with enough experience be allowed a permit instead of climbers who have the cash.
It’s only sexy in the movies. Real life ain’t cinematic.
