- Thanks for taking time to watch. This is a kit video but I hope I am giving you some simple and effective ideas too! I am doing some simple aging techniques on digital photographs and I am having a go and creating some fake mica! It turned out pretty well too.

These pictures are so pretty Tracie, and I love how they look so old. As you placed them on the page, I looked at an old photo of my maternal grandparents, and it’s crinkled and has dried lines on it too. Amazing job! I love these. I also love the kids. I have piles all over my room, all organized and ready to go. I’m just trying to get this journal finished up, but I have been playing a little bit with each piece figuring out what I’m going to be doing love all the new kids and catching up on all the videos of course. 14:10 Thanks for the tip of adding patterns (lines) to a packing tape to use on top of photograph images. Cool. Your videos are always enjoyable and contain useful tips, whether you advertise your product in them or not.

I love the one you said went wrong. Looks like it had been taped down and the tape aged and came off.
A very creative faux mica! Might work better because mica is rather fragile and brittle. Thanks for sharing your technique and a lovely project. ❤

Love the new kit Tracie! The photos look great aged, and loving both the real mica and the faux one it makes them look even older! When I think of the sellotape I’ve thrown away because of the blemishes it had in it I could cry haha! 😂

I learned so much about photos. I have been trying to create some of those looks but using the epson paper, or card stock. I realize how important the photo paper is now.. and its also about the reactivity. Thank you always for the education, the example and the sharing of your tremendous talent.

Taking boxes apart and removing tape for ground cover for my greenhouse floor..3 good pieces of tape that are Fab for faux mica! ❤️❤️

OH TRACIE!! These photos look like so much fun. Gonna have to put them in my cart until pay day. Soooooo cool. I’ve recently been playing with clear gesso over some things like this, and then using my new Tim holtz watercolor pencils to color the peoples clothes or backgrounds. They turn out so cool and these would be so perfect. Do you have clear gesso and these new watercolor pencils? The Tim holtz ones work for this kind of stuff better than other brands I’ve tried in the past. But I think you would also LOVE to try it! Love you my friend!
