My recommendation Jack, if you are going rural Nepal, take a water purifying tablets, or a portable filter.I have lived in Australia just over four year and past winter in my travel back home, I felt sick, not terrible but My stomach didn't like it.Defo, not as poluted as India though.

Everyone have to Pokhara they are missing a lot of natural things in Nepal. Please do visit Ilam, Taplejung you will be really amaze. Do a google search as well I dont really lie.
I am used to sleep in a bit harder mattress made in nepal. And i have no back pain while sleeping on it but if i switch to western mattress i will have back ache.
