You kidding? He’s flabby as ever and has the age lines on his forehead. If he would just lift a few weights he could preserve whatever muscle mass he has left
I'd be curious to see how the prices breakdown by price bracket (i.e, cars above $250k vs cars in the $10k-$25k price bracket) to see if there are any other trends - this is an expensive example and I wonder if it is better for the majority of enthusiasts who don't have 812 money.
Bring a Trailer has significantly more interesting vehicles. And regularly seeing cars with 7 figure bids. Cars and Bids is more geared to regular cars.
I purchased a car on cars and bids in December 2022 and sold it in April 2024 on bring a trailer with 5k more miles for an 18% profit. Granted, this was a Porsche, which BaT might have cars and bids beat on. However, I really think it is all about presentation. I do think, however, you have a better chance of profiting by swapping between the two rather than selling on the same one, if your intention is to buy a poorly presented car and represent it well.
i sold a couple cars on C&B during COVID - gotta say the service was excellent…really good experiences and Doug even personally told me he was excited to have my SHO on there which was a cool touch
And think about it, we can help doug get his next supercar! The overarching point is that the quality of cars allowed on BaT exceeds that of CaB. Look at 240sx listings on both sites, a chassis that is known to be molested and over modified. You clearly see that CaB allows the lower tier players on the site because Doug is trying to make a buck. Although deals can be had on CaB, BaT is the place to determine a cars value and thus I’d be more comfortable buying a car from BaT than CaB
1.3% more money - I guess that means the winning bid. What's the situation after fees are subtracted? 70% more views for (only) 1.3% higher winning bid seems like a low ratio, but I don't know enough about the industry.
It also happened a lot than a car rejected by Cars & Bids got a big number in Bring a Trailer... Yes, rejected... Cars & Bids is a elitist website which only allows cars which they think are for enthusiasts...
I’ve heard of people being scammed on BAT. A lot. Haven’t heard any horror stories about you guys. Great job! I’ve been following cars and bids since the first time Doug announced it, but like an idiot, I didn’t sign up for an account😭 now if I sign up, I’ll be some loser, who’s profile says “member since 2024”😂
So you get better deals on bring a trailer
You can get deals on Doug and Bids, just not on the super cool stuff, but they have had some regular cool stuff go pretty cheap in no reserve auctions
The seller gets more money. Yes they get percentage, but isn’t that the American Way
Is an important to in any business to maybe buy low and sell high
So bring a trailer is better for buying, and Cars and bids better for selling
Doug the used car website salesman is my least favorite Doug.
@@superturtle61177 bravo
Doug's the kind of guy that ages in reverse....
The Curious Case of Douglas Button.
Money does that
You kidding? He’s flabby as ever and has the age lines on his forehead. If he would just lift a few weights he could preserve whatever muscle mass he has left
Doug the type of guy to get abducted by Aliens and start looking for quirks and features in the UFO
real

Can't believe how good this turned out!

Meh. Competition is good
i thought Doug wants to sell trailers on cars & bids
You never fail to surprise us!
Bring a trailer is the standard of this industry
Cars and Bids- “More cars, more bids”
IMO Bring a trailer got too greedy. They’ve gone bonkers with the increased auction count.
So you single handedly rubbed the used car market 👌🏽
The reach cars and bids has caused Eid TH-cam is crazy. I’ve never even heard of being a trailer
1.3% more money - I guess that means the winning bid. What's the situation after fees are subtracted?
70% more views for (only) 1.3% higher winning bid seems like a low ratio, but I don't know enough about the industry.
So:
sell your cars with cars and bids buy your cars on BAT
BAT is rigged af so I’d rather shop on cars and bids
Haha my friend just bought a x3 competition from cars and bids, then shipped it to Hawaii
Now do a classic car or Porsche.
Bring a trailer site is annoying and finicky
Look at the schnozzle on Doug
So bat is a better buy?
Where’s the app?
I can’t tell which auction website has the best name. They’re both so bad.
It also happened a lot than a car rejected by Cars & Bids got a big number in Bring a Trailer...
Yes, rejected... Cars & Bids is a elitist website which only allows cars which they think are for enthusiasts...
Example?
well, yeah, that's their thing, they even hype it as being for cars from the 80s and up only too.
Having standards/rules doesn’t make them elitist lol
So in a nutshell Sell with you and Buy across the street
Hey, does anyone know if I can sell my car with its warranty on cars and bids?
Wait is there some sort of beef btwn the two? Or just some friendly competitive bragging? 😅
I think it just comes down to money. The better C&B does, the better it is for Doug.
Can you please make an app for android for cars and bids? I like killing my spare time browsing the bring a trailer app, cause that's my only option
Never heard of them
Let’s goooo! I’ll sell my S5 on cars and bids!
No one cares
They will when they bid on it and you even cared enough to comment💀
No one cares
