Hello Rea. I've been watching your videos for quite awhile now. I don't have any job experiences in the past. I just want to thank you because your videos really helped me pass my interview. I was hired a week ago 😊 I'm currently in a night shift now.
At the first week "I was ok" but now I'm starting to feel very sleepy every shift. Maybe because I'm adjusting my sleep every weekend bcos I wanted to do more during day time(a thing that I learned from my other bpo friends). I didn't expect It could affect me. Second is my eating habits, which makes me loss weight more.Lately I also had a hard time sleeping or getting my 8 hours of sleep because of the noise during daytime and because of the light. Eversince I started night shift I couldn't sleep if didn't use my brothers bed (instead of mine)
Question: I am considering getting into night shift work (third shift 11pm-7am) due to the many advantages third shift has despite the potential sleep issues. I have never worked 3rd shift before, but I have worked 2nd shift (with the shift ending at 2am on occasions ). I always loved 2nd shift because i slept great and could sleep in as much as i wanted. But 2nd shift completely ruined my social life since normal people tend to socialize in the early evening when 2nd shift is happening. This is why i want to do 3rd shift. I am thinking that maybe the right way to transition to third shift is to firstly get a 2nd shift job. Once I am accustomed to it again, then I will quit and get a third shift position. Do you think this approach will work?
I'm assuming these two shifts are in different companies? Because if yes, I'll just choose to be in that 3rd shift you were mentioning if that's what fits your lifestyle best. If same company but you're just moving shifts/schedules, have one weekend to adjust and you can shift your time to 11pm right away.
Thanks a lot for this video.. great help for me as I'll be starting my night shift from Monday. It's going to be a struggle coz from 7am to 4pm, I'll be transitioning to 9pm to 6am🥺😢
I have a hard time starting my shift. I am working from home. It is my difficulties every single day. 🥺. I feel the tiredness and sleepiness upon starting my shift
Hello! I'm done with my final interview and they sent me an invitation for the onboarding process. thank you! I know i am not yet hired but I'm still optimistic about this job opportunity. again, thank you for all your tips. :>>>
Thank you. But it's supposed to be a detailed video and not just the usual turn off the lights 😅 I wanted to include explanations. I suggest checking out the timestamps so you can go back to the part you want to review?
OMG! Huhu. Me too. 3 weeks in my current job. Also my first time working graveyard. Why do I always feel tired/exhausted? I find it depressing going to work and all I could see is darkness, and while everybody else is sleeping. When I think of work, I struggle, I feel tired already. Haha. I always look forward to weekends/rest days coz I know I can do my personal stuff. When I'm at work, I always check the time/clock (remaining time until end of shift).
@@ReaNinja Hello can I have your advice? I've been hired as a Data Analyst in one company but I don't like the schedule that they offer, which is a night shift, but this is my dream job, and I also have another job offer which is a day shift schedule but only admin staff role, salary wise, the data analyst role is higher then 3k per month, which do u think I should choose in ur perspective? Thank you.
@@Summer-vu5kw It all boils down to what's important for you. Is there a way you can negotiate a better schedule for the data analyst role? If not and you feel the schedule really affects you big time, then maybe you can look for another company that has a more flexible schedule.
Hope these tips help you. Comment below - what do you do to make night shift easier for you? 💗
